Such special talent. It's so delicate, charming, and the sculptures should never go away....what a lovely and enchanting video. Some people are so special.
Maybe she doesn't know how to preserve it, firing it properly in a kiln. Maybe she doesn't have access to a kiln, or it's too expensive. There's something perverse about destroying all this beauty and one's own work of art. Such a waste of time and talent, sort of a shallow and incomplete enterprise. She obviously has talent, but it seems to me there's something missing there, a neurotic approach to art and living, it's morbid, isn't?... her eyes have a vacant stare too. For goodness sake, somebody help this lady! Maybe she doesn't know how to preserve it, firing it properly in a kiln. Maybe she doesn't have access to a kiln, or it's too expensive. Sorry, I don't mean to offend her, but I think this looks very depressing... either she is crying out for help, or maybe she is a control freak timing the death of her creation, or both. Either way, she might need someone who cares and knows how to help her.

Beautiful floral fountain. I am not an artist and I understand there is a message but still, I was disappointed to see the flowers dissolve. To me it was something that could be appreciated forever and now it's gone. I see real flowers all the time that flee and fade.
Kudos to Luca Lamaro for such beautiful visual storytelling and Emily Tobin for the production values in producing it. Sound design is also superb. Appreciation to House & Garden for a series of inspiring stores like this. Phoebe Cummings makes materiality spiritual. Wonder what the book/journal shown is?... "Club Mosses, Horsetails..."?
beautiful, but sad. it's been many years since i worked with clay but this video calls to mind the newspaper armatures i would sometimes place within a clay structure to shape it and hold it up. after going thru the fire of the kiln, of course the newspaper armature had burned into nothing, but the clay had hardened into a lasting shape. a metaphor for this world -- merely a temporary part of the process of a spiritual creation
Why would you spend all that time making those things of beauty that could be fired in a kiln and enjoyed by many people over many many years years. I don't know of anybody who paints a picture and then destroys it this whole thing doesn't make any sense
Kathleen Murphy she’s not a pottery maker. She clearly says that she approaches it as a “performance” or installation. The very point if her art is to explore the fleeting nature of life.
I love her comment about helping people connect to the feeling of loss. Art is a powerful way to reach deep emotions. Beautiful.
What a refreshing approach. I love the idea of the fountain slowly melting away-such a beautiful reflection of all things.

Such a beautiful perception of her work. Poetic 🥰
Delightful slice of lightness and serenity.
I find her approach to working with clay and metaphorically life very inspiring...
It’s just simply amazing. Amazing woman, amazing art, amazing video❤️
A true artist! Beautiful

Ohhhhhh! So much deeper than words can say! Love this!!!
Love your hands. Shows the work and love that you put in everyday
One of the best posts ever
Being able to allow the diminishing of a created piece is not an easy process...like nature it goes back to another form.⭐
So beautifull !!!! Thank you ! Love an peace from Paris/Marseilles
Beautiful and calming to watch! 🌼💕🌹
So calming video..😌 Well filmed and edited ❤
Stunning beauty in those creations, delicate & frigile as they are. So pls preserve it instead of letting it dissolve away.

You can do nothing of yourself. It is in and of Gods own glory you will wake up today x
Thank you for not showing much of her work
Nothing lasts forever......
☺️🙂🔭✨
so, she doesn't fire it?
What if she fired them?
Wabi Sabi
A little too precious. Thanks tho.
That music is so very, very, very, annoying and irritating …

Seems like a wasted talent.....fire them for goodness sake. All a bit gloomy!!!
Ugh. Artists talking too much about their process makes me annoyed
