Your video and kitchen is very soothing and homey. It has a nice calming effect. Love the vintage looking appliances in your kitchen. Thank you for sharing.
this makes me miss home. I left the English countryside and moved to America where everything lacks that twee quaintness and folksy cosiness. I still love it here but this is what I miss.
No you don't my home is 1745 in date there's so many law's on what one can and cannot do it's a minefield of legal red tape and the cost of heating repair etc empty the bank each year
Real inspiration..the best example of elegance, beauty and simplicity..I live in the countryside and I try to create an ambiance that is both pitoresque and elegant.I truly admire you.
Just found your site and had to immediately subscribe. Your life and home is beautiful. Will look forward to more. Thanks for a peaceful moment in this crazy hectic life that is around us right now.
O wow! Your kitchen is so big and so wisely designed. And the place is so beautiful girl! It ha such a strange touch to it. I think John Keats would also love to stay here.
Was interested in this home but this video does not show it to it's advantage. Camera stays on items which we all have seen (cookie dough). I want to see the house.
I love her style: it's like a cross between 1980's Sloaney Pony and the Plymouth Brethren-- but directed in a clip here by a manic meth-head who normally shoots Jason Statham movies. Someone needed to chuck an ice-cold bucket of Farrow & Ball paint into his moosh and order him to CHILL OUT DUDE, SLOW DOWN, WE'S IN GLOUCESTERSHIRE NOW, DOG-- GO EASY ON THE JUMP CUTS!'
If you love her style she has written a couple of good books you may enjoy... her earlier books areabout style/fashion. The most recent, (i think)"Farm from Home" about the countryside
Looks like I came here to say exactly the same thing as a number of other people. You need to linger for more than a fraction of a second otherwise it's bloody annoying. There are some styles of video that a fast cut would suit. This isn't one of them
Wow, could it of been any more rushed given she states being in the country means doing things at a slower place.....how ironic ! Gorgeous home if you didn`t blink and miss it !
Wow I do really love you decorations it’s just amazing and my dream to live in the village in England, I been in London many time but I love the country side more .. I live in Massachusetts , USA 🇺🇸
You should look into featuring Kai Avent Deleon in your campaigns. Kai, is a native of Brooklyn, New York and owns a concept store in Bedstuy. It would be great if you can capture her home and or feature more diverse women that can share a different home aesthetic and life perspective.
@@moonbeeps Smeg is really cheaply made, the fridges have plastic fronts, are too expensive, poorly designed and manufactured ,apart from the fun colours, the letters Smeg unglued from my sister's kettle.Do not understand why people bother.
@@andgo1400 I didn't say otherwise xD I don't own any Smeg appliances, I just said it cause it's an ad for Zara Home, so maybe they sell items of Smeg.
But Oxfordshire is chic...this video and her life it's hypocrisy at its finest. Rich people pretending to "live in the countryside"; it's like with the free, happy hippies in Ibiza, professing lots of vla bla bla - I know many, very wealthy - the hippie chics billionaires. Nothing against having money (I am myself a privileged person, but we have to be objective and act seriously and respectfully)....but come on, I mean...she doesn't even know what the real countrylife is. These people do not live the life of majority of people, they live in their bubbles and circles and things that for the majority of people are hard work and so on, for them are hobbies. It's like some friends of mine who bought a Range Rover Defender (the old school vintage one) because it's a status symbol and then are restructuring a house in the countryside but they are far, far from knowing anything about the countryside and life. It's hilarious.
OMG, the A303 on a gorgeous summer weekend is HIDEOUS, especially right near Stonehenge. On the drive from Devon to London I could read the Gulag Archipelago back to back with Proust's entire works. The worst road for traffic and god help you on a Bank Holiday or Glastonbury weekend. Yes, the Orkneys sound lovely in comparison. I fancy a zippy commute.
@@nahla__ Doesn't countryside just means a particular area? I don't think it defines a certain lifestyle, it's just the name given to living outside the big cities or villages. There is no such thing as "real countrylife", there are just different economical status.
@@moonbeeps well, you're right when referring to the general meaning of the word and the context. But in general, majority of country life is different from what is pictured here...it doesn't mean people who life in the countryside and have a country life have to be poor or else, no way. But the über polished, preppy, country "chic" imaginary this video and her, advertise, is a bit too much and tacky. I have friends who own, here in Italy, lands and have their business, wine, agriculture, animals...they are wealthy but they really do know how to work the land and how to do their job. They have knowledge. They are not wannabes or people who come from NY or wherever, big cities in which they live in their own circles, who have no clue on how to grow a thing and do things, and after a certain age they retire and move to the countryside, cause it's cool or chic. It happens frequently. They buy homes and restore them and show off on Instagram, show the other real people who do know the countrylife and show their products and are in awe about all these things, like it's a miracle and they advertise the country life like they do really know how it is. It's simply a façade and superficial. I know these people, people like her (we share some common friends here in Europe)....and I know people who, yes, are extremely wealthy who grew their wealth by truly working hard, the land, wines, fruits, cattles and so on and on..Cong from generations of farmers and country people. And then there's also the real people, who sometimes may struggle, but work hard and with dignity, they do are those who can say they really know the land and everything about it, theirs is the countrylife. Not these lady who never drove a car and now has a Defender because having a Defender is a must, for the country chic.... seriously, I know so many, it's embarrassing. They don't even know how to drive it...they go from home to the city/town centre and that's all. They all dress the same, no personal taste or identity. Quite hilarious. Sorry for my English, I hope you'll understand my point :) have a lovely day.
I guess if you can afford to live like this, go for it. It looks like a team of ten people worked on that house before she even got home. But like I said, more power to her.
LOL, yep, everybody in the comment section felt this bizarro-world disconnect. If I were the head of the department in Zara that was responsible for this video and its upload, I'd have pulled it and sent it back for re-editing...with someone new in charge of that, obvs. Really weird and made Zara look amateurish, like this department of theirs was just a last year High School project. I wish someone would parody this video or just re-upload it with the Benny Hill theme-song, Einsturzende Neubauten or Flight of the Bumblebees dubbed over as the new soundtrack ;)
You're a lucky person, Amanda. You live in a lovely place in the beautiful English countryside. I agree with some of the comments, the camera goes a bit too fast which is exactly the opposite your home suggests: stay longer. Thank you!
While editing you need to feel the natural flow of the images and sounds and then you make the cut, some images will require a faster pace and others need their time. Nice photography though.
This is sheer bliss....feeds my soul. Wish the tempo was more at ease, like the countryside. Beautiful.
It’s tiring ... how fast it is

Hey! Can you check one of my videos? It's about nature, simplicity with some magic/vintage vibe. I think you'll like it 🧚🏼♀️🧝🏻♀️🌿🍓🍵🐛✨
2:14 Oh my. A sumptuous, relaxing English cottage living room. I could sit there for a week without moving.
😂
Too many fast cuts - the eye wants to linger.
Nice photography comment 🌷
True but marketers don’t want people to linger; marketers want impulse
You are right! (I recommend you turn the speed of video down to 0.5 and turn the volume off) 😉
Totally agree. So pretentious. 'We're so good we can even cut off your ability to see what we're showing!'.
I was just going to say the same. It makes me nervous, cut, cut, cut...stresses me out.
I like the lady´s taste. But I wonder if the camera man was on speed? Far too many cuts, totally inappropriate for the topic, the house and the style.
Agreed !!
Maybe the dude was short on time ? Like only had so many mins for how much footage he had. It prob isn't his fault.
@@Andrew_Kono maybe. But as a professional one should try to do better.

I had to pause the video a lot to get a good look at the kitchen which is earthy and beautiful.
This was so chaotic. Chill out with the jump cuts
What a beautiful home! I’d love for a slower video. Please do a longer one!
OMG that looks like so much work. Over the years I have learned to simplify, and now I actually enjoy Xmas without being exhausted.
LOL. True that!! What a pretentious and exhausting video!!
Yeah that’s coz they’re trying to sell you stuff you don’t need
Some people actually enjoy their christmas that way..
