At the cost of 1 year OS update that too isn't guaranteed most of the time and an old processor , Not hating but criticising if the phone would have atleast like 2 years major Os updated which would be Android 15 ,I wouldn't even care to look at the processor and would be an ez recommendation
@@Sahil-to4wj its better to have no or low updates than regular updates that slow your phone down or even kill it or green line issues.Also updates in android doesnt really matter much. They already have most of it not all ios features anyway. You wont notice much difference from here on.
Security updates do matter. Clean ui and software experience. is more important which moto focuses on.

@@shantanuvarun9900os updates matters... use a phone with Android 11 and use a phone with Android 13 now.. you will notice the difference quite a lot
2 years of OS updates would have made this phone killer in the segment.
They will give till Android 15 cause they want to develop their consumer base in India although Moto is a Chinese Brand so who knows ?

There is no harm in promising, they are eventually not even going to give Android 14 on it. I have G72, and they have not even given 13 on it.
If someone is ok with LCD, G54 is absolutely crazy is priced near to 15k as an G40 Fusion user, seeing the 6000 mAh coming back feels great. Despite LCD+120hz till 55% and battery saver mode for later part, on YT and basic usage, I got 2.5+ days of standby with 14.5-16hrs of SOT, even after 2 years of usage. Also, overnight drainage is almost 0% at battery saver mode, noticed it 2-3 times when I had no option to charge overnight, still my G40 Fusion lasted overnight at 1% and didn't switch off.
Well my g40 fusion screen broke when it fell from 4 feet height and camera performance is utter trash
Battery performance is great but i had to still ditch it
Great to hear! Initially i really wanted to get a g40. But g71 was available at that same price while i was buying. So i got the g71.

Well made point ... 6GB RAM and 128Gb storage would've been killer for this smartphone by bringing the price even more competitive. But anyhow it's gonna sell so much for the design aesthetics imo.

It offer 12 g ram,a flagship characteristic,optical image stabilisation,video at 60 fps,you can install a 3rd party for always on display,it have micro sd,3,5 mm jack,radio fm,amoled display,etc,etc.And even it have only a major software update,it have 3 years security updates anf firmwares.And because have from hardware OIS it can improve very much the camera thru updates,and EIS too.What smartphone,even flagship can offer all these? I mean all these....for me,sd card,3,5 mm jack and a build in radio fm are very important.

@Ershad ... according to you ...whats it like to upgrade from G73 to G84? Can you help with reason to upgrade and not to upgrade?
If you already own G73, I think it's not advisable to upgrade to G84, except you just want a P-OLED display, then you should.
The phone is indeed good. Camera with OIS is what makes it special. But Moto phones come with that annoyingly conspicuous call recording notice.

Peek display feature ks good however its active only for 10 second. Samsung is really champ in always in display

I have bought two Moto G52 both have the same Green and Pink multiple line in display. The problem started after 3 days of warranty period is over . I think company is creating this problem intentionally.

Yeah there is a work around. Installing gcam mod will definitely improve the image quality. I use gcam on my moto g71.

The Moto G84 5G has a big problem. It's a sound. The outgoing volume is quite weak. Low sound power is on the speakers of the phone. Bluetooth and 3.5 jack also have Low sound. It doesn't matter how you connect any device it will play quietly. It doesn't matter via Bluetooth or a 3.5 jack you will need to turn them on almost to the maximum. Standard melodies play loudly. However, if you turn on something from TH-cam or other apps, the volume is -50%. Most likely, the problem is software, but the problem has been around for six months. It seems that Motorola is not going to solve it. There are many negative reviews about this problem on the Internet and the Motorola support site.

OnePlus, motorola, iqoo, realme, Mi are good moving flagship brands India, and ultra premium buyers end of buying apple iphones. For samsung, M and S series are the top selling ones followed by few models of A series.

True and that's why in September Motorola Edge 40 NEO will arrive in India. It won't have SD778g but a capable Dimensity chip that supports 4K and also be light and with red Viva Magenta vegan leather finish and get at least 2 OS upgrades (maybe 3?) of course at a higher price tag but not by much.

G84 vs G54 which should I go for?
The G54 actually has a better processor for a much lower price - the antutu scores are also better.
The main negatives are its lcd display with lower peak brightness and the chin at the bottom.
If you want a slimmer phone with symmetric bezels & the brighter oled screen, you can select the G84. For those that value performance, the G54 offers better value for money.

Dimensity 7020 has some advantages, like support for ufs 3.1 / lpddr5 / 2k video capture and playback, but the phone needs to have the necessary hardware.
If you don't have problem with LCD display and you don't need under display fp sensor , you should go for g54 and price also less than that .
