The diameter is 148 m. From stricker stumps to wall straight is 84m. If the rope is laid even 8m inside the wall, the distance still would be 76m. The rest of sides varies accordingly.
So its foolish of anyone to even think that boundries are shorter. Everything is designed as per standard requirements. We have habit of seeing a 20m free ground outside boundary to park tractors and stuff even practice pitches in lahore and karachi. That y people cant digest even good things as good

After boundary ropes youll get around 77 meters straight boundary from batsman end. But the leg and off will be around 67 meters which is too small. Need atleast 70 meters to boundary.

Oh. R u working there in this stadium.? As per engineers its 71 meters from centre of the wickets and two meters will be the rope so it will be 78 and 69 meters. Which is even not good enough. But I am watching current world cup closely and observed the boundary somewhere 65 meters in India.
