- The Low Lighthouse is one of three historic lighthouses in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, England, and the only one of the three which is still active. It is a Grade II listed building and stands on the foreshore. First lit in 1832, the Low Lighthouse operated in conjunction with the (onshore) High Lighthouse for 137 years. Then, in 1969 (after improvements had been made to the High Lighthouse) the Low Lighthouse was deactivated; but later, in 1993, the Low Lighthouse was re-established and the High Lighthouse was instead decommissioned).
The Low Lighthouse has long been known as 'the Lighthouse on Legs', as evident in an 1859 guidebook: "the writer has heard merry children while sporting on the sands, call this smaller beacon, the lighthouse on legs".
The low wooden pile lighthouse is 36 feet (11 m) high, the light being at 23 feet (7.0 m). It was built by Joseph Nelson in 1832, in conjunction with the High Lighthouse, to replace the original Round Tower Lighthouse (which itself had been built to replace the light kept burning in the tower of St Andrews Church to guide fishing boats into the harbour). The new High and Low lighthouses were first lit on 1 December 1832.

Awesome intro shot and amazing footage. 🤘👍Such a beautiful and interesting wooden lighthouse. A liitle gem on the beach. Incredible flight moves and impressive video editing, Meraz. Did you use any automatic moves or did you fly everything manually?
Hi Thanks very much for your inspiring comment and feedback! Glad you enjoyed this little gem :-) Regarding flight, nope, I don't use any quickshot tools (wish I could but that degrades the quality to 1080p). Here is basically used AIR 2S fpv mode in some places. Also I used spotlight (keep focus in one subject) and then rest move around the drone manually to create some pull in and out effect. A lot of practices to be honest but since you liked it I can say it was worth trying. I was really impressed too how it came out and I maybe using it again ;-)
@@CoastalBird Yes, it turned out beautifully. I wish I had a point of interest function in the Mini 2, too. Maybe I have. Have to look it up again and do all the firmware updates.😉

Many thanks for watching and sharing your nice thoughts. They actually rennovated this over the years but kept the original structure. I found it really unique and famous within local photographic clubs. There is another lighthouse onshore which known as high lighthouse. However, that is difficult to shoot due to residential homes around.

There is also interesting SS Nornen ship wreck which you my also like. It was too cold that day for me so I didn't do much. Between, I I used Air 2s fpv mode for a few shots here which appeared really good after editing. Maybe Karl would be interested to try ;-)

Thank you very much Marivs! Good to hear from you! I m actually experimenting with Air 2S fpv mode, glad that worked and came out nice. Editing is always a challenge and sometimes it works better but some are not. It's a very niche area which need a of time/practice/experimenting, still a lot to learn and time to put in but with work/life pretty difficult.
