Ive been enjoying the game so far, im a big fan of stealth games and assassins creed as a franchise so having a star wars game with a lot of AC mechanics works for me. The story is decent, environments are fantastic, the cities feel lived in and the characters are interesting and well voice acted. My only complaint is the autoleveling of the speeder camera, i keep smashing into low rocks that are impossible to see from the default camera angle.
I LOVED this game so much. I got super invested in the story, especially ND-5’s! Ended up playing 90 hours in total and wanna go back and finish all the side missions I didn’t get chance to.
Still playing the game, having a ton of fun. The story is good and the locations are beautiful, yes even Tatooine. While it does not do anything very new or ground breaking, the exploration aspect is very rewarding.
This. There's something inherently awesome about skulking around a back alley in Tatooine with droids beeping away in the background, its really a disservice to SW fans to not play this game.
I watched the story on TH-cam. Love the game. I love all of Star Wars though. Boba Fett, Ahsoka, Obiwan Kenobi, Rebels, The Clone Wars, The Acolyte, The Mandalorian, Andor, The Solo Movie, Rogue One, The OT, The PT (and even a lot of the ST)......the Aftermath Trilogy, The New Thrawn Trilogy, The High Republic era books...as well as the fallen order/survivor Jedi series of games etc. etc. etc. You see, for me (as a real fan), all of this stuff is part of the larger narrative. I can't love some of it and hate other parts. It all ties in, and it's all signed off by the same story group. This game has Temmin (Snap) Wexxley in it (from the Aftermath trilogy), which I think is a nice touch. The vibe of this game is really similar to that trilogy. It's dark, conflicted and controversial, and I think that's what Lucasfilm should do with this type of media. Gamers are an odd sort of jocks, cocks, nuts and fruits, and so is the Star Wars underworld. There is a good texture to it, and I like that.
The game still had some very noticable bugs but overall really liked the story they told. One project you missed that had similar potential but got canceled too soon. Level 1313. But it was on Coruscant in their lower levels.
To me the game was great. Extremely fun and beautyful to explore. I havent the percent of completion, but I play like 70hs~.If you are more fan of Star Wars than a NPC that repeat what say you the hater of turn, its super recommend, if you are not a Star Wars fan idk, I thing that for this budget there is a lot of other games to play first, if you are not a fan of the saga, for sure.
I wish they'd make more projects like Visions. Imagine exploring the world of that episode with the bunny girl (episode 8). Imo, it'd be way more interesting and fun. Instead of trying to connect the franchise all the time.
This game was fun to play! It has some very basic features and isn't groundbreaking in much but as a star wars fan I really loved playing it. I signed up for one month of Ubisoft+ for like $19 instead of paying full price for it!
Same I just finished the other day. It definitely encourages you to be stealthy, but if reputation wasn’t on the line, I was whipping out my explosive blasting grenades and having some fun with it. I hope we see another, AAA Studios really do need to get a handle on the bugs, though upon launch.
It'll be better after the update next week. Currently if you get caught during a stealth mission (which is like... 90% of the main missions) you reset ALL progress back to the beginning of the level. Every item you found, anything you did, it all gets reset back to the very beginning. After twice having fifteen minutes of gameplay get reset in a row I put the game down until they fixed it, which they just announced will be happening in the next update. Mind you, the stealth missions are a little difficult because you don't have any basic stealth mechnaics like hiding bodies and your little neopet will regularly go distract enemies in a way that makes them look directly at you, so the game still might not be amazing, but somewhat enjoyable ubisoft mechanics are still there
It's okay. If you want to play in the star wars universe, it's one of the few modern games that lets you do that right now. There is some charm in infiltrating an imperial base and sneaking around trying not to get spotted by stormtroopers. My biggest issue with it is the bad AI but crank up the difficulty and it's a little less noticeable. Not because they get smarter, but because you die more quickly and don't see it as much. If you enjoy some world building and stealth gameplay, it can be fun.
I enjoyed it, I wish it had more missions with the different crew members and better weapons or at lease maintain the ones you use along the way. I'll probably play it again once the DLC comes out.
In my best Dougie from South Park voice "Shadows of the Empire did it." Though I will say, I like Outlaws take and that it focused on aomething other than the Skywalkers. Kind of how Wong Commander Privateer was my favorite WC game back in the day.
Was this review paid by Ubisoft? I get liking a game, but this is just straight-up a baffling review so far. Really dont understand how this game is objectively good or even remotely close to jedi fallen order.
They go with sponsors that "sell you fake titled lot"(Established Titles), tries to defend it then say's it's just for fun gifts and etc. The team is a bunch of imbecile.
all these channels have relationships with big media organisations, its how they avoid copywrite strikes, so they need to keep good relationships, and thats why their takes are always wrong LOL
Yeah definitely paid for an it’s sad smh he just like breaking the game down and stating people from different eras that appear in the game and that somehow connects the different trilogies it’s wack asf. Desperate attempt
When we heard open world Star Wars we expected something like amazing Spider-Man not assassins creed Star Wars. It’s just not what it we want to pay for
Just finished the game at 1:30 in the morning with over 100+ hours of gameplay. The best thing about it was the vibes and the characters. Combat reminded me of Battlefront, traversal and encounters reminded me of Fallen Order, and the stealth was much like Assassin’s Creed (which I hate). But it was nice just having a way to “live” in the SW universe. I liked Kay well enough, but her companions just felt more interesting to me. ND-5 especially. The writers did a great job with his story and featured quests. The story and its conclusion were satisfying, and I can see there being some replay value, but I don’t see myself replaying it multiple times like the Jedi games. It’s super easy to get lost in all the side quests; which isn’t a bad thing and recommend doing. I felt Massive did a great job of making it feel lived in with lots to do without being overwhelming. And I greatly appreciated that they made a lot of the minor mini games mostly optional. Overall it’s a fine addition to the Star Wars universe and a refreshing perspective I’d like to see more of.
I came late to this video as i needed to finish the story first. When you think about it the OT didn't have much force on screen, it was more a background character and the story was way more character driven. I total agree that stories don't need force users. Video games are obviously a bit more fun and epic when you give the player abilities, but similar to TV and movie Genres there is space for both. I enjoyed the game even thou i played back to back stealth games and it felt a little boring from a gamer perspective. The bigger issue is that from a game perspective its not a AAA quality production. The face animations and the environment looks worse than older Ubisoft games. Star wars is a visual treat as much as it is a story treat. I do understand the criticism of that aspect of the game.

I haven't heard any "toxic criticism" of the game over it breaking canon or anything like that, all the criticism I have heard about it involves things like the quality of game, whether it be game breaking bugs, graphical downgrades, poor gameplay design choices, and just general unpolished feel of the game, a less than AAA quality game for a AAAA price tag.
Its too bad they didnt do something similar to Deus Ex with inventory / weapons. Like have a slot based inventory, only be able to equip one or two guns at a time, and carry various usable items. Then have a stash chest to store guns and items that you find, buy, sell, upgrade, and have to return to the chest to swap gear and do the whole inventory management thing like Resident evil 5 or Deus Ex. In my opinion it would have allowed for variation in playstyles and repeat playthroughs. Plus it would just be more realistic, and fun. I like how this game limits your weaponry but it would be really nice to save those guns you pick up, upgrade them or stockpile ammo for specific guns like the sniper or something
Great video! This game is so damn cool and fun. Instantly one of my favorite games. I particularly love shows like Andor because they give you a different perspective of the Star Wars universe like you mentioned, and this game makes you feel like youre actually there in a Star Wars movie lol also getting to see more of the crime syndicates is just awesome.
The game is totally fine, it is nothing amazing as far a gameplay but I have had a ton of fun in the world of it which is absolutely beautifully detailed.
Liking it so far. Kay is certainly a more compelling character than Cooper Calisthenics. Like most open worlds, it’s too freaking big, so you spend a lot of time getting from place to place. That’s seems to be a trap of the genre, though, and not unique to Outlaws.
I really like the game, I love Jedis, the force and all of that but there's a whole galaxy full of people we haven't really explored who are just trying to live there lives day to day I hope we get a second 1
I absolutely agree that the pay-off for all the world building in Star Wars is being able to tell small stories in a big world. This is doubley true if your aim is to produce as much content as possible. You can't be putting out half a dozen stories a year, all of which have the fate of the galaxy at stake. And this story shows you don't need to. Trouble is, this game will definitely underperform by Ubisoft metrics, because Ubisoft spends wildly inefficiently, especially on marketing, and then when pretty decent sales results in a large loss, they blame everyone other than management. All the Disney execs will take away from this is that it needed more lightsabres.
Yikes I get that you guys have to praise and suck up everything Disney puts out as their success parallels with these channel's success but come on now
I'm not watching the video due to potential spoilers. But I'm having fun on the game, taking my time with it and exploring. It makes a refreshing change to be able to play and it not be about force users and lightsabers. Granted it's not as fast paced as other games. But I can see where this games not gonna tick everyone's excitement box.
I'm going into the game knowing is not rdr or anything super polished like that. I'm honestly just playing it for being in the star wars world. I'm liking it. But yeah, it could be much much bwtter
I know Acolytes was underwhelming and I think a pre-prequel trilogy game was canceled, but I wanted a Star Wars story outside the Galactic Civil War era 😴
In other words Please buy this game or Disney wont invest as much in AAA games for Star Wars My answer to that is GOOD There hasn't been a decent SW game since Battlefront II and that was mired in Pay 2 Play
no lightsabere? idk... i like everything about this but how am i supposed to smashy smashy w/out a lightsaber? They should let you get one after a special quest or an EP
I'm playing it right now and I am enjoying it. I been rocking with the Pykes & Crimson Dawn. It's going to take me some time to beat this because I am doing a lot of the side missions and just enjoying the world. The game has glitches but they aren't that bad. This game like a lot of SW content these days got a horrible rap for no reason. It's not perfect but it's good. 👏🏿💯
_Gas lighting your audience is one way to try to get them to play Star Wars Outlaws, but that’s an incredibly shitty thing to do so not only am I not going to play it, I’m now unsubscribing from this channel._
Great story. but gameplay and environmental immersion issues, really wanted to love this game and I haven't even played, but watched numerous streamers....wanted it to be a reason to upgrade :/
Still think all the characters look boring, don’t fit the play style the game wants us to think it has, and is therefore uninteresting to me. Not buying this one. Now give me a customizable character/story/bounty hunter/assassin game, now we’re talking. Feels way too linear for a supposed “open world” game
It's an interesting game, not quite what I was wanting but that's ok - plenty others enjoy a reskinned game that's inside the star wars universe. I prefer jedi survivor or fallen order despite it being smaller in size. I'll be patient for a true open world game that would essentially be like skyrim but star wars - for console 👍🏽
That was the plan for the sequel trilogy Jesus Disney really fucked it up bad. That's the second time I heard something about the plans for the sequel trilogy the first time was the script for the third sequel movie trilogy movie duel the fates which was amazing and took place on corasaunt and had Darth plagues in it and they scrapped it for rise of Skywalker.
@@katraapplesauce1203 it's true though. This game sunk the Ubisoft share price. Why would you think that this video is not sponsored? Are you that naive?
@@ChewyRocksandiscute , wait…. So a guy gives an opinion about a 16 minute video that has only been posted for a minute. Meaning he had to watch the full sixteen minutes in 60 seconds. And I am the loser?
@viviorko Some people watched 5 min in. Maybe someone heard a certain statement saying "this game is good," and it just doesn't sit right with them. I'd certainly disagree with screencrush if they said that. I don't remember if they did in this video.
So many people in the comments throwing accusations and trashing the game…literally minutes after this uploaded. At least watch the video before you speak on it people.
You don't have to watch the video to know about a game that came out like 3 weeks ago 💀 almost a month . Some people know it's trash some don't . I would play it on game pass free but I wouldn't buy it personally.
@@akouri6967 who said the thumbnail was trashing the game ? The game came out like a month ago people know about it ,it's been a meme for weeks because it's so bad 😂 . I'm just saying people don't need to watch this video to comment on a game they have played and didn't like if you like it cool if not cool it doesn't look that fun but I would play it . Also like every game is released buggy so in about 4 months to a year hopefully it's way better. I don't think they will change the silly slapping storm troopers but they could still fix a lot of stuff obviously.
@koammudo43 I'm talking about how people saw the thumbnail and just hopped into the comments to call them shills for Disney because the thumbnail wasn't negative enough for them. I'll probably never play it because Ubisoft hasn't put out a decent game in over a decade, but that has nothing to do with my point. As far as I interpreted the video: they were just describing the game, and everyone just wanted to run their mouths without even watching the video
Omg they're shilling for SW again. 🤦♂️ ... Guys its just NOT GOOD. N ppl can still like it for what it is, but don't pretend this is a great game, cmon guys I like this channel but ur losing the audience of common sense ppl with all this shilling...
@@Goshaden that is a very fair statement. I did spend too much time. I just feel it’s unfair to comment on videos people didn’t watch (you can’t watch 16 mins in 60 seconds ) or have them criticize things not mentioned in the video. Btw, for the record, I personally don’t like the game.
I'm done with this channel and all the lies I haven't watched them in probably 3 months or longer. Found better channels that are more truthful with their reviews.
I finished the main story, and most of the side content. It's a decent story with a good ending. The mechanics aren't ground breaking, and it looks fantastic. If you're a SW fan, I would buy it but beware it's got a ton of stealth in it. Like assassins creed stealth, very basic but a lot. The ship flying is fun, the no loading "loading" screens are interesting. You pretty much gave 90% of the plot but whatever.
@@AlexEsther pretty spot on review. It’s enjoyable and the world is very “Star Wars”. The combat and stealth are fine but nothing new or spectacular and the story is fun and interesting. Especially if you’re tired of the whole “everyone in Star Wars is a Jedi/Sith/Skywalker” stuff.
I enjoyed the game, it does what it set out to do: tell a story of the underworld without too much spoiled brat fan-service. However, one thing that keeps being repeated is that it is "the first" open world Star Wars game. That is absolutely false, Star Wars KoToR has that title, and the subsequent sequel and MMO are also open-world, to include classes like smugglers.
I think they need to wrap up what they started with the acolyte. Give daisy a good movie or 3? Then pick up 1000 yrs in the future. The Jedi are extinct. There’s some ppl who can do minor things with the force maybe. Do an Indiana jones style movie where they find an artifact and start from scratch with that.
R.I.P James Earl Jones. The one true voice of Darth Vader. 😢
He did a thing with LucasFilms, so soon we'll be getting a robot version of James Earl Jones' voice doing a robot version of Anakin's voice.

Colton doesn’t have the star power to “host” every time he does an episode I’m bored… Ryan has a far superior voice, perspective and has riz
Totally agree
So true. %110
A game so bad it tanked Ubisoft's stocks by 13% value, lowest value in over a decade.
No
I'm going into the game knowing is not rdr or anything super polished like that. I'm honestly just playing it for being in the star wars world. I'm liking it. But yeah, it could be much much bwtter
Colton really wants that free trip to Disney land /wants Ubisoft early releases.
Only reason you’d suck off these companies
Video games? Well, you still have the Maltese.
Hard to take this channel seriously anymore.
I know Acolytes was underwhelming and I think a pre-prequel trilogy game was canceled, but I wanted a Star Wars story outside the Galactic Civil War era 😴
Definitely won't give Ubisoft my money... they have been a let down since Splinter Cell Double Agent!
In other words
Please buy this game or Disney wont invest as much in AAA games for Star Wars
My answer to that is GOOD
There hasn't been a decent SW game since Battlefront II and that was mired in Pay 2 Play
no lightsabere? idk... i like everything about this but how am i supposed to smashy smashy w/out a lightsaber? They should let you get one after a special quest or an EP
How couldn’t a force unleash 3 do the same thing? Underworld cartels and all
I'm playing it right now and I am enjoying it.
@@ItalianoYMexicano ? I didn’t even know his name was Colton lmao
Sounds like you’re the one making up a narrative. Go cope somewhere else
Wait missed the crucial for the saga connection.
Thanks to Colton, Ryan, Harriet, Randolf, Brianna and Lee! 🎮 My boyfriend is loving playing... and I'm loving watching.
Why do Star Wars games always get made by the worst companies like EA & Ubisoft? What next, Activision/Blizzard’s Star Wars?
This is 100% a sponsored video then 😂
Ok bot
@@katraapplesauce1203 it's true though. This game sunk the Ubisoft share price. Why would you think that this video is not sponsored? Are you that naive?
This game seems fun just not 70 dollars maybe like 40 would be solid
The game was fun with flaws. Enjoying it is not shilling. Cope harder
@mykarose6937 Glad you're having fun but enjoying could just mean you have really shitty tastes.
How much did they pay you say such things
Stop lying in this video. Star Wars Outlaws absolutely tanked in sales.
Loser watches the entire video in a minute and leaves a take not mentioned
Good work.
@@viviorkoLoser gets offended by someone else’s opinion.
Cry about it.
@@viviorkoOpinion rejected from a person who has only 3 subscribers and wastes time by calling people losers.
He's just talking about the game. The thumbnail isn't shitting all over it, so the saddest people on the internet came out to play
I watched the whole thing, that only made this shit worse 😂
Omg they're shilling for SW again. 🤦♂️ ... Guys its just NOT GOOD. N ppl can still like it for what it is, but don't pretend this is a great game, cmon guys I like this channel but ur losing the audience of common sense ppl with all this shilling...
I missed that part about it being a great game. He just explained lore and said time will tell if it was good.
@viviorko dude , you've spent more time in the comment section than this entire video and you're criticising people on how long they spent.
People can think things are great and it not be shilling. Cmon dude, don't gatekeep
Loving the game - I so hope they do more.
THANK YOU. Someone not just blindy shitting on the game cuz whaaaaa i hate ubisoft.
Whats going on, where is Ryan?
colton always has the best and worst takes on star wars and its fans.
I heard the dlc wasn’t worth it…
I use to really like channel
The game is shit but they put some important lore in it.
This was a straight up ad and probably boosted ftc regulations. Cmon Ryan, do better
Where is Yabba?
Rip James
Also thanks for this video cuz I'm def not playing half baked star wars gta
Holy Hell i didn't realize how much these channels are bought & told what to say. Unsubscribbed
We don’t have problems with shows we have problems with shows that make no sense. So we just didn’t watch🤷♂️
Anything made by colton is “gawk gawk gawk” at all the bs that’s being made. His opinion is bought and not reliable.
Colton with a star wars vid? Hard pass. Dude, how can you continuously push this absolute crap with a smile on your face?
I think they need to wrap up what they started with the acolyte. Give daisy a good movie or 3? Then pick up 1000 yrs in the future. The Jedi are extinct. There’s some ppl who can do minor things with the force maybe. Do an Indiana jones style movie where they find an artifact and start from scratch with that.
Toxic positivity
No force no thanks.
These guys probably support star wars explained😂 I've chose my side I ride with theory✌️
0:05 and I’m done with the video.
Wait that chick just tried to punch a robot when she had a blaster in hand 🥴
