I think Levanter or Miroh should be interesting for you as a film maker. Stray Kids are going to comeback with a full album on 23rd August so be sure to check that one out too when it is released.
I love Back Door except for the scenes in the white void-I personally feel like most of them except for the one with the “tick rock” hands are unnecessary, and that the MV would’ve felt more cohesive if they’d have stuck with the physical sets. But man the match cuts!! My favorite is the one where Han is walking through the parking garage and the camera drops down to his foot and then back up to his face, and he’s switched outfits. Stunning
The white void scene maybe it's connected to the fact that most theories talk about how skz switch from a universe to another in their storyline, so it's like the white scene is the place where they make their decision on which door (universe) open At least I think it's something like this
Well all of their scenes have significant meaning behind them. And yeah the scene with Han was my favorite too it was just so smooth that I didn't even catch it the first time I watched it
Hi! I'm glad you liked the song! Backdoor is actually the title track of their repackaged album of their first album cled GoLive (the album with God's Menu)! Stray Kids is actually coming back this month, so you could check out their new MV as well! Meanwhile, you can also watch their MVs for Levanter, Noeasy Thunderous trailer (the trailer for their 2nd album dropping this month! It's actually like a superhero movie trailer), TOP (their Japanese song released for ost of Tower of God anime), Miroh or Easy! Stray Kids releases Music Videos for a lot of their B-Sides as well, I'm sure you'll love them! Thank you for reacting to Stray Kids! Love your reaction!
I really like that you are diving in to stray kids, their my favorite group. For some extra information about the music video: the back door and God’s menu mv’s were both directed by Bang Jae-yeob. He is most know for his match cuts and other transitions. He also directed the mv for their song ‘all in’, which is the Japanese song released after back door. In case your interested, he also directed a few mv’s for other groups. Those are: ‘gimme gimme’ from nct 127, ‘Breathe’ from GOT7 and ‘in the morning’ from ITZY. I personally don’t know much about video directing and editing but since I’m a fan of stray kids and like watching videos about these kind of subjects I noticed the recognizable directorial and editorial style immediately in the other three music videos. Since you said you liked both this mv and the last one I hope you’ll check out more of his work. (Btw, excuse the possible faults in the writing, English is not my first language)
all in has a great mv !also if you like jyp mv’s you’re bound to love “mafia in the morning “ by itzy.the music video for mafia in the morning is really unique .also itzy is a girl group and you haven’t reacted to any yet maybe give them a try 🙂
This video clip is, in my opinion, one of the best of the 21st century. Everything. Choreo, costumes, camera work, decor, effects,... it's so efficient. I wasn't even a kpop stan, and I was 🤯 when I saw it. Now I stan of course lol
I like watching the groups' reactions to them watching it for the first time as well because usually they'll recount what happened on set and ill find facts like the water was added effects etc and little things i didnt notice
stray kids’ videos is that kind of content you need to be in context first or have a like knowledge about how they usually work bc once you put together all the pieces (in this case knowing the theories and understanding their universe) it makes so much more sense, trust me back door made me a stay and in the beginning i tried so hard to understand what they were doing but it was not until later i got it
i think videos become more interesting when you know that stray kids have an "universe" and seems like they're in a videogame or are living in alternative realities and almost all MV are connected. The doors in the white void would represent those entrances to the universes/realities, as well as the switches. i'd love it if you react to Levanter or Ex. Ex is a great song and the MV is beautiful, it has a deep meaning and its soo different from what you saw on God's Menu and Back Door. Thank you for reacting to our boys!
@@LoveTheBasics yeah! stays have been figuring out the meaning of elements, dance moves or visuals in the videos. there are diverse theories but it is fun to analyze the MVs and see how smart they are to connect things :) i really hope you can react to any other stray kids MV, your analysis are great!
"All in" is one of their best edited videos in my opinion. It's full of transition and there is so much happening at the same time but since it's so smooth u don't even notice it. You would love it for Shure. Besides the song it's soooo good
All In MV is directed by the same director as Back Door and God's Menu. I think that's all of his work with skz, so their other MVs have a little different vibe and aren't as masterful in my opinion, but other good ones would be Miroh, Double Knot, Levanter (that one has a lot of cg though), Easy
yeah I agree, bd and gods menu are my favourite mv's based on editing and sets tbh and the others (while still great) definitely give off kind of a rough kinda rookie? vibe idk. I look forward to reactors watching these two videos the most as I feel that they are the best of the best so far from skz editing wise.
😂 it can be hard to understand some of the part's due to the storyline within Stray kid's universe. Like the multiple door scene is because the song is literally called back door 😂. One of the theories is that they are in a multiverse so the doors are their to represent it kinda like how they disappear (Like the doors in monster's Inc)
If you like a MV and behind with a lot of tech (old cams etc.), I recommend "Mixtape: On Track" by StrayKids. A different music style but filmed like a high school drama.
my multifandom heart is getting fed 😭♥️ After watching this again, I just noticed that the white background looks so um..idk a bit weird ?? Anyway, thanks for the reaction
I also really like this video and song. I mostly watch and listen to Kpop. I am often so impressed by the creativity since the groups try to find unique concepts.
it is interesting to know from a new point of view. as a stray kids' stan, i watched this video multiple times that i can even narrate its lyrics. but when i watched your reaction, it is interesting to me because i did not notice the detail of the video until you point it out. from this video, i get to know from the perspective of a filmmaker which is new to me. keep up the good work!
If you love the editing on Stray Kids you should definitely check out Itzy! The Editor and Director are wild. Debut: DALLA DALLA 1st Comeback: ICY 2nd Comeback: WANNABE 3rd Comeback: NOT SHY Latest Comeback: (MAFIA) IN THE MORNING
yay! i've been waiting for this one ^•^ i love stray kids so much (i pre ordered their new album) and i'm not good with figuring out different and deeper meanings of things and i also really enjoy watching the behind the scenes of things and how theyre created. your videos never fail to fascinate and interest me!
loving the reactions........ would love it if you watched Jackson Wang's music videos he is directly involved in the planning and directing of them, since you liked the fact that Jungkook directed life goes on....... My personal suggestions include 100 ways, pretty please, leave me loving you and drive you home
While the camera techniques are newer as they are using a new director since Gods Menu, Straykids have always had interesting videos. I’d recommend Hellevator, District 9, Miroh, Double Knot, Levanter, Top, and Easy.
Awesome reaction! I really appreciated the MV so much more. By the way, I think you would like the Noeasy trailer they released a couple of weeks ago. It's really fun. 😊
i genuinely think you should check out Jungle by CIX, from a visual aspect it's probably one of the best, most artistic music videos I have ever seen. It follows the theme of dante's poem trilogy: the divine comedy as they progress through the circles of hell. It's incredibly unique and I would love to see your thoughts :)
seeing how much you love the transitions I think you might find maknea on top fun... the music video is a lot of fun and I always loved the editing in it
I think Levanter, Miroh, and Easy would be of most interest to you! they all have behind videos! Levanter is very editing and story heavy so I could see you really liking that as well, but the behind video is only like 5min long. Miroh is also very story heavy, but it only pertains to that song, so it might be a little easier to understand the story. If you are interested in levanter, I would encourage you to watch Side Effects first and then watch Levanter as Side Effects begins the mini story and Levanter ends it! I hope this was helpful and gave you come ideas on what to watch next!!
i enjoy your reactions so much, i also learn from it because i like these things of editing and stuff, i hope you can watch the behind the scenes too, i highly recommend you react to “All In” it’s their Japanese song, the mv is so good! :)
They do love match cuts hehe. Maybe you can check Easy, All In, Miroh, Side Effects, Double Knot, Levanter (actually there's alot of them lol) next. And idk maybe you wanna check out they're pre-debut mv (Hellevator) and debut mv (District 9) (there's actually a storyline in their songs/mvs, just a lil more info hehe) But I think Easy and All In will do, match cuts and stuffs are really cool Thank you for reacting to them!! Will be waiting for your next reaction to them!!! Also they're gonna have a comeback this Aug 23!!! :))) Edit: ITZY's Mafia In The Morning have amazing match cuts too :))
I recommend Stray Kids' or or MV I think you will love them:) I'm Korean so I can't fully understand what you're saying, but your eyes seem professional! Thanks to make this video:)
Resending it cuz I'm not sure if you saw my comment last time,, check out these mvs : Jungle by CIX (visual masterpiece !!) Fallin' Flower by Seventeen ( v pretty !!)
i definitely think back door highlights more of the choreography more than anything, a lot more so than other mvs. this is still enjoyable, however the transitions and effects are not focused on as much as something like gods menu
I think Levanter or Miroh should be interesting for you as a film maker. Stray Kids are going to comeback with a full album on 23rd August so be sure to check that one out too when it is released.
Agreed
Absolutely - Miroh!
Congratulations. You're the only TH-camr that didn't get impressed by Felix's deep voice 😭😂
lol
😆 but he has good voice.
I think it’s only shocking when people expect baby faces to have baby voices. Kinda refreshing
"Everyone falls into him, and they don't come out the other side." Can confirm this is my exact experience with Felix as well 😌
Stray Kids are known for their synchronized choreographies. They're great artists too. 💜
I love Back Door except for the scenes in the white void-I personally feel like most of them except for the one with the “tick rock” hands are unnecessary, and that the MV would’ve felt more cohesive if they’d have stuck with the physical sets. the white is connected to the storyline so
The song is truly irresistible. The "Time" magazine titled "Back Door" as one of Top 10 Best for 2020 (globally)

my favorite thing you do it's when something catches your attention and you go YES! *whispers* yes yes yes
You should react to "Easy" i really think you will like it
Yes please
Their attention to detail is unbelievable! You can pause at any moment in the video and every single effect and minuscule detail is there. Love it!
ALL IN mv is made by same editor director! its their japanese song!pls watch for amazing and clever edits
I learned more about the videos from Stray Kids. It's a new way to see them for me. Exiting.
I agree! A big eye opener for me as well!
Same...thats why i love seeing reaction vid for Stray Kids...
This video clip is, in my opinion, one of the best of the 21st century.

its true, there's no match for god's menu MV. transition, editing, concept, everything are chef kiss.

ITZY- Mafia in the morning is.......... Something that you will definitely love, highly recommend it ‼️
If you want you can check out ATEEZ 'Answer' mv is an unpretentious mv from a small company and I think you would love it.
If you like a MV and behind with a lot of tech (old cams etc.), I recommend "Mixtape: On Track" by StrayKids. A different music style but filmed like a high school drama.
BACK DOOR YESSSS
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS!!
If there shooting on location, then the pipes are part of the building. The colors indicate what is flowing thru that pipe.
They just realized the trailer "NOEASY" it's so crazy, you should REALLY look forward to it ✨😭it's awesome 🤍🤝😫

Your unfeigned enthusiasm and delight just puts the biggest smile on my face :-)
Hellevator, levanter, miroh are all great as well. If you want fun and more intimately filmed, the street version of some of their songs are good.
