Jeez Jonah, why are you such a stalker!!! Just kidding. ;) Loved the video guys, it was so sweet. I'd love if I had an "undivided attention" coupon too!
This was all so true! When I'm with my friends there always on there phones and it kinda makes you feel like your REALLY boring or something if they have to be on there phone 24/7:/
It would be nice to meet someone the old-fashioned way - sure we live in the technological era but some things are better done how our parents/grandparents connected with one another. Great video fellas.
While I don't like videos that give the "put your phone down cause it sucks" videos, I agree with this one. You shouldn't become so attached that it messes with your relationships. Well done.
omg what is this, the coolest vid ever? thanks jubilee for another amazing video! this voices my greatest pet peeve: ppl on their phone constantly, so super well! props to you guys, again!!
What an inspiring short film. I enjoyed the use of digital media in the storyline. The characters were likeable, engaging and quirky. Your message was sound but not overbearing. You should be all proud of this short film. I am so impressed with it I have recommended it to all to my students to watch.
yay i love seeing chris on shorts! Very thoughtful video. Reminds us that we should put down our phones to appreciate the world and the people around us!
I like this! I've removed myself from FB 3 yrs ago & I can relate being that person watching other people on their phones.........definitely a disconnection in life there
OMG This was so cute i was so moved i almost cried at the end. so relatable and this is such a great short film. Always look forward to your guyses work :)
This is a great video... Makes one think again before think not to go all social media crazy while being with someone and actually savoring the moment you have with that person. Definitely getting my like and shared with friends :)
i think we have more of an addiction to self-image and the sense of approval we feel from a "liked" photo/status, which we satisfy through facebook and instagram and etc
Oh my god... This! This video is a very good depiction of what I always think when I'm with my friends ): Thanks, Jubilee Project! You guys have answered my prayers and turned my conflicting thoughts into this video! Very cool!
Since deactivating my FB I've noticed social media tends to takes a lot of the guess work of actually meeting people through face to face interactions. I also notice that I was kinda subconsciously addicted to FB(clicking the bookmark every time I open my browser, checking my phone)
Funny I just had this same conversation w a friend (via fb... Go figure) about artificial relationships developed through technology... Anyways this one was so sweet!... Loved it!. Thanks JP.
A little bit of phone time never hurts, in my opinion, but real-life interactions are always the best! And just turning off notifications goes a long way towards making it easier to disconnect. (For everything other than calls/texts, because you never know when something actually important is going on. >_>)
Have you ever watched 'The Anti-Social Network'? It is basically the exact same as this. A guy meets a girl, the girl gets sick of him always being on social media, and the girl eventually gets sick of it and leaves the guy, only to have the guy give up social media to be with the girl. That summary can be for either short film, but do you want to know the difference between the two? 'The Anti-Social Network' came out in July of 2013, but 'Connected' came out in April of 2014. I'm not exactly saying it was copied, because who am I to know, but there's a possibility that it was. For all I know, it could just be the whole 'Hunger Games'/ 'Battle Royale' situation. Basically, all I'm saying is make sure your idea is original if you plan to be credited for it.
BTW ladies, a big turn off for me is when a girl is attached to her cell phone. I'm sure other guys can agree.
Yes Sir.. Those instagram/Twitter girls
Yeaaah
Woojong Same here since 2004.. but married one with it. OOPS! Oh well!
Technology : makes the ones far nearer, but the ones near farther.
Well said!
Jeez Jonah, why are you such a stalker!!! Just kidding. ;) Loved the video guys, it was so sweet. I'd love if I had an "undivided attention" coupon too!
Thanks Jen! We'll be sure to let Ben know ;)
This was all so true! When I'm with my friends there always on there phones and it kinda makes you feel like your REALLY boring or something if they have to be on there phone 24/7:/
Jonah: *Throws phone for Haley*
Haley: "Oh My God Jonah doesn't that phone cost like $800?"
I died at that part
Awesome!
woot! thanks!
It would be nice to meet someone the old-fashioned way - sure we live in the technological era but some things are better done how our parents/grandparents connected with one another.
Great video fellas.
Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out cuz I'm never on social media, but I guess I've been looking at this wrong.
Ugh I love it when Chris Dinh is acting
While I don't like videos that give the "put your phone down cause it sucks" videos, I agree with this one. You shouldn't become so attached that it messes with your relationships. Well done.
