Earlier batches of Filipino teachers came here with H1B visas instead of J1. H1B provides better benefits and opportunity than a J1 visa. I think the reason employment agencies stopped utilizing H1B was because of the lawsuit filed by some Filipino teachers against their recruiting agency. This affected succeeding job applicants in a negative way.

Hi sir thank you for your vlogs very informative po and inspiring Question lng po I’ll be migrating next year to Kentucky , Is there a possibility maka work po diyan even though fresh graduate lng ako Just got my license this December 2019 and next February 2020 I’ll be flying to US Worried po kasi ako I don’t have any teaching experience and my major is English hindi Sped pero I did my internship sa Thailand for two months yan lng yung teaching experience ko. May possibility po ba maka work sa US as a teacher? Thank you po
If you’ll be here , you need to have your transcript be evaluated for reciprocity. If you get the result, go to Kentucky public education department for license.
Sorry ,kaya yun kelangan nila makisama para makatipid sa house rent. There is no free housing for teacher here. Yung mga nasa Indian Reservation nga May minimal fee pa rin na binabayaran. Kalimitan yung mga May housing will be like 500 pero good for one or two years stay lang then kelangan makanap k na nang malilipatan kasi yun lang ang contract for new teachers para naman maibigay sa incoming new teachers. Walang sekreto here hehehe

Tsaka Yung school mismo na nag invest for H1B is iniiwan ng mga teachers kaya itinigil na nila.
