Great performance! This song is a varient of the song "Dublin City" or "Wheel of Fortune" which was my dad's favorite song. The tune and lyrics are slightly different, but both start out with walking through Dublin city and meeting the fair young maiden washing something. Gordon Bok did a nice version of "Dublin City" which is on TH-cam. I wish my dad were still alive so I could share this with him. Danny Carnahan also does this song on the Caswell Carnahan album "New Leaves On An Old Tree". This version has a few different verses than the Carnahan version, but both are nice.
