- Florencio loves going for crazy strategies in StarCraft 2. In this particular instance he's up against a Zerg player and decides to open up with a full on worker rush. Worker rushes in general are easily countered when you have a moment to think, but he has the element of surprise as he stacks them all up on top of each other to look like a single Probe is moving across the map.

3:14 If you missed this detail here it goes. I use some workers as walls by using the (HOLD) position. This causes your enemy's worker to not be able to attack unless specifically forcing the attack move to each worker one at a time. What ends up happening if you look close is the enemy is use to A clicking with selected army all together. So when I attack I choose a selected amount to get in the trap before I close it off from the rest of the workers (HOLD). Once they notice something is not right with their attacks they panic and run.

How did you make the decision to have a final battle there at 18:00, if zerg had a handful more queens the zerg might be able to hold it off, right?

I just love how different Lowko and PiG cast Florencio's games. Lowko still is analytical and explains pros and cons of different scenarios while PiG basically makes a string of dick-jokes :D

I have never played Starcraft, don’t plan to, and don’t know much about it but I came across one of Lowkos videos and have never missed one since. I even watched a tournament once (not as entertaining without Lowko commentating but still fun). Thanks for the great content.

I think the spinecrawler thing works like the creep is softer than the ground, yeah? Then the spinecrawler needs something soft enough so it doesn't hurt when burrowed. So the creep not being there to soften the ground hurts it, which is also why it doesn't take damage when unburrowed.
Another assumption I can make is that crawlers are very sensitive and are "allergic" to the stuff in the ground or something maybe possibly, but that I feel is a little bit more far-fetched.

Lemonio ALMOST defended this right; I think what was clearly working against him was that zerg clearly ain't his main race. Sneaking the proxy hatch totally put Florencio on the back foot and made the game way closer than it would have been.
Lemonio held out so long, he should gain ladder points. Really well done responding to and holding out against the uncommon strat.

Zerg player made too many mistakes. First mistake was leading his drones to his 2nd base, revealing it to the Protoss player. Second mistake was getting greedy, and didn’t go after probes for guaranteed damage

lowko the reason the spine and spore crawlers take damage while rooted is because their weapon needs some sort of energy to function, while they are in creep they can keep it active as long as they want but as soon as there is no creep they have to use their health to keep the weapon functional

That zerg had a 100% win chance and he forfeited it. He could have just cancelled the Hatchery and followed it up with a queen and zerglings. All of the probes of the Protoss were at the other side of the map following the zerg drones back to the second hatchery. Zerg would have won the defense game and would also have won with an attack, looking at how the Protoss didn't even have a Gateway out yet. I feel like Florencio mostly wins because his enemies are so surprised by his weird strategies that, even though they mostly have better chances at winning, they are just unable to comprehend what's going on and to think clearly.
After seeing this video from Florencios channel yesterday this strategy has happened to me 7 times today

hey lowko i remember you saying in some of your videos that protoss is very limited in the mid game by more or less being forced to play archon immortal zelot or DTs i think that instead of sheild battery over charge a 50-75 engery ablity that can turn a robo into a stargate or vice versa would give protoss so much more flexablity in the mid game to say go double orcale into into immortal/warp prism rly smoothly and stuff like that im only in gold lueage and i play protoss main so maybe that would rly mess up the game balence but i'd love to hear what you/others think of that change and what effects if would have -kind regards a big fan of your videos

This is a great strategy if your opponent is missing his frontal lobe.
There is alot of players missing their brains. They just memorize standard builds and think they are good at the game.
