I don't care how "cringe" gold games are, the unique tactics that have no thought for efficiency are easily the most entertaining games StarCraft has to offer.
Alternative title: Pillars of Gold League.
Better than watching same old meta stuff sometimes
that's why I've always said I hated "pro" gaming, I really don't want to be able to guess how a game is going to start for the first 10 minutes every single time, how is that fun.

Remember when Idra GGed immediately after his opponent killed his own Planetary Fortress at the gold mineral base with two massed siege tank volleys? Funniest SC2 GG I ever saw

Jimmy got drunk that day....combine that with boredom... and a siege tank pretty much becomes a giant potato gun

It's Zape here! Haha. Yeah, after the game i realise on the unit tester that with good micro, one void ray can actually kill 2 cannons, then kill the pylons, then the other 2 cannons. But you know, how many draws do you see on SC? Isn't this way cooler?
It can kill all the cannons but like, slooooowly.
Honestly, I think probe rush and void ray probably could have killed both pylons, those cannons and if not the probes aren't valuable and you can always pull back the void ray before it loses health

@@davidcast7282 Rushing the pylons is a bad idea, they have more health than cannons and expose probes to getting hit by 4 cannons at once. If you probe rush either pair of cannons, the void ray can kill the pylons from out of range of the surviving pair once the first pair goes down
@@MrSpleenface yeah there's probably a dozen different ways you can do it.honestly though just might as well Rush with the probes they don't offer you anything in the game anymore and you can always pull back the void Ray it's a no cost experiment as long as your micro is somewhat decent
Alternative #3 to what Syao did: Get Tunneling Claws and a bunch of roaches. Tunnel vision demands a tunnel strategy.

@HoiNam Superior Southern Chinese Apparently some people are, but I sure am not. I think what Lowko is doing is a pretty good balance between pro and viewer-submitted matches.
Also, 50k views in a day does not seem abnormally high to me for this TH-cam channel.

On the topic of doing mundane tasks while watching SC2, I was brushing my teeth and almost choked to death at the conclusion of the first game.

I absolutely love these viewer submitted games! It's so fun to watch gameplay that isn't top-tier and also gives you examples of what not to do.
I'm getting Lowko whiplash. One day I'm getting true top-level sc2 championship plays, the next we have a 30 minute game with the most potent nuke in a pro game of all time, and then we get 14cc in the opponent's natural - engi bay - planetary.
Keep up the variety, just, I don't know, warn me first.

19:10 Excellent use of mineral walk through the probes rather than move command, apparently they've heard Lowko's rant about players not mineral walking.
That first game was like watching a train wreck that does a weird corckscrew barrel roll through five flaming hoops and lands back on the rails.
I got up to get a sandwich and when I came back I glanced at my computer and saw a planetary fortress shelling a nexus about 4 feet to its right and did a double take and audibly went "What the fuck?"

Lowko I love it when you reference something from the beginning of a game, yet you forget you switch the colors around mid-way through. Then comment to the person as the bottom* color as the one who spawned below which it wasn't. It's happened a few times and I get a laugh every time. Have a nice day. (Zape V CiZ match)

29:30 Same thing in Overwatch. While you don't (usually) have people calling "gg" after winning first teamfight, you have the winning team aggressively going "gg" in match chat as soon as they win.
Don't lift up the factory to get high-ground vision of the spinecrawler. Use it to build a starport and then use that to build a medivac (even though you have zero units it can heal) and then use that to get high-ground vision. Some 200 IQ moves that game.

I've never seen Lowko speed up a game cause it was painful to watch.
I'm curious what Lowko would think about the idea of end-game "ultimate" upgrades. Each faction has a handful to choose from, but once you grab one it locks you out of the others. Something to shake up the end-game meta once the whole map is filled with bases and such.
I was rooting soooo hard for Zape in that last match!

One theme I think that a lot of players do, is they see some whacky or crazy trick that works in a Pro game. Or they see and memorize build orders without knowing the though process behind them, and just kinda throw it at the wall.
