    Now I have my 8 week old Audi set up, I hardly use the touch screens whilst driving . What I need is either on the steering wheel or activated through voice recognition.

    I can’t believe you didn’t ask about using this system with gloves, you’re from Canada Zack! We use gloves for like 6 months of the year...

      I did off camera. You need gloves that work with smartphones.

    Geez the "old" audi HVAC control and MMI looks and feels A LOT more premium than this "new" crappy touch screen

    Can it display Lat Long? Can a Lat Long be entered as a destination? Can find a way to do this. Any ideas? Thank you

    We always carry handy wipes in the glovebox. That takes care of the dirty screens in our car.

    I wish I could have been part of the survey. This is neat, but we don't need everything to be touch screen in a car. Hope this doesn't become standard.

    1st. I was so distracted by his very tight shirt. Those buttons are holding on for dear life.
    2nd. Didn't Honda/Acura try these dual screen before... how well did that work....

      I did not care about his shirt, the main thing is that he express himself well.

    Watch closely at 5:14, he tries initiating the seat heaters with no luck, then tries to lower the drivers temp by clicking the the “-“ button, also with no luck. This is because there is a weird glitch with some of the new A6s where the bottom portion of the lower touchscreen becomes non-responsive. I know because I just acquired the new 2019 A6 3 weeks ago and I am already experiencing this issue. The sliding mechanism works, but you cannot use any of the lower buttons, like seat heater/ventilation, sync, AC on/off, etc. only way to fix Is to completely shut off car and lock for a few minutes and restart car. Terrible reliability for a brand new car.
    Also the sunroof rattle and pops whenever going through inclines (like driveways) where the body flexes.

      Has your local Audi dealer addressed this issue?

    • @ONI1013.
      @ONI1013. 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Munin - Coincidentally, it’s actually at the dealer right now. Turns out to be an issue with the pressure sensor for the haptic feedback, and when the haptic feedback setting is turned off, the buttons works again. Have to replace whole bottom screen though, and will take 1-2 weeks to get part from Germany to California, US. Also fixing the sunroof noise as well.

      GHN1013 Appreciate the update. My A6 is coming later this month, and I will look out for this issue. Hope the new screen solves your problem.

      GHN1013 did you finally solve the issue with your pressure sensor of the MMI Touch Response?
      I’m getting my A6 55 TFSI in 2 weeks, and will pay special attention to this thanks to you!

    Lol there's a reason why we still use keyboards for gaming. The attention needed for driving is the same and we prefer somethings analog , going touch screens for your AC is the most distracting and annoying human computer interaction you can have. Volvo does full touch screen and that's really annoying for something you want to warm your butt off in Canadian winter. Unless Audi is making this car almost fully autonomous driving.

    New AUDI sales down drastically this year. I think it’s due to this overly complicated MMI. It’s bad for AUDI. At the end of the day people want simple and intuitive system. Apple won the touch, but car is not a phone.

    • @ONI1013.
      @ONI1013. 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bright - It’s not complicated at all. It’s very easy and intuitive to use. Been using it for last 16 months. I prefer it over the old Audi rotary MMI, since I can get to what I want directly with just one click vs scrolling through the old MMI menu with the rotary dial.

    Even after getting to know how this works, this will require way too many steps to use for basic functions. Automakers are creating more distracting tech. This is a mistake.

    Touch screen in cars might be banned in the next few years...who knows. Very dangerous and distracting.

    AUDI WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? this 2 screens reminds me of acura. This mmi seems complicated as hell. I'm sure sales will go down because of this.
