Not all heroes wear capes…Howard, you are a saint. Followed the instructions to a T (turns out my Genie opener is also 6#) and in 2 minutes resolved what had been a whole day of madness and struggling, this video both helped to reset the Clicker password and sync it to the opener.
Thanks! I’ve watch many videos. I followed each step and followed the exact code on the manual. Come to find out code for Linear is NOT 4. It’s 1. Manual is wrong. So when you said you had to guess yours, I followed what you did and started guessing my code instead of using 4. So it finally worked. Thanks for mentioning you had to guess it.
I'm just coming back to say thank you! My opener code was 2 but it didn't take long to find when 6 didn't work - HAHAHA! Very cool that a total stranger can add such happiness to your day. I typed up your verbal instructions, printed a copy, and pinned them to the wall in the garage. Thanks again!

Thanks for the help! One issue I found was that when I went to reset with the two buttons at the beginning, they just kept blinking. I changed the battery and it worked! Great video!
Lift master professional with purple learn button is #3 you’re welcome. Also when you’re doing this it helped me when my garage door was closed instead of open. I also held my button pad close to my ceiling door opener.

Thanks for the refresher course. I l lost my code somehow over the weekend and had to reprogram both my pass code and remote in my car. Found the code for my Lift Master on line.
1. Reset Keypad Opener - Hold * and # until it blinks then turns off. If it isn't doing that wait until the lights turn off then try. 2. Enter new password then #. Enter the number associated with the type of garage door opener (any number from 1 -9) then press #. 3. Go to your garage door opener and press the Learn button. Walk back to the keypad, enter your password, then press 0 three times. If it doesn't immediately close or open the the garage door it is the wrong garage code opener number (remember it's number between 1-9) 4. To find the number of your door opener you may have to repeat steps 1-3 until you find the correct number.

Directions were great. The key was pressing the 0 three times instead of two as indicated on others sites.
This works for me except now my new car remote garage door opener doesn't work. So when I go to reprogram the car remote then the keypad stops working

Realized I had to replace the battery. Followed your directions, and there was much gladness! I have an old Genie Intellicode and it also is a 6.
