Ghani Minhat, Mokhtar Dahari, Isa Bakar, James Wong, Hasan Sani, R. Arumugam, Soh Chin Aun, Santokh Singh... Malaysia needs players like them again.
it was like we had a Maradona playing for Malaysia,and it was a pity to lose him at such a young age,Malaysia will have legends again,but those legends will never beat the legend
Susah dah nak dapat seseorang yang sangat passionate dan patriotic like mokhtar dahari..most people (footballer)now especially in 90s are materialistic but its not their fault..that their job and only to make money and also they are coming from high family income..thats why..salah seorang pemain dunia yg ada sifat tu cuma seorang iaitu idola semua orang CR7..
I recall i first saw him in 1973 when malaysia beat kuwait 3-1 in merdeka tournament n mokhtar was new..like 18/19 yrs old n he scored twice..n i was already very impressed...n knew this is a star striker..
Mokhtar was like a machine, really unbeatable. Nobody can ever replace him.
I don't think there will be another 'Super-mokh' in years to come and I do believe that he was the best, most talented and only malaysian footballer ever since. Of course and no doubt he was among the gifted one from the 28 millions people in Malaysia. May his soul rest in peace. Amin!

The Spirit of Mokhtar lives in me! Mokhtar is not here, But what we had aimed, planned, n aspired to do with Malaysian Football (i.e. improving Malaysian Football Standard as well as producing dynamic football players)) WILL!!! be pursued by me, in his absence!
And hopefully, with Younger Leaders at the helm of Leading Malaysia today, i hope i can contribute to bring the Glory Days (AND JOY) of Malaysian Football BACK AGAIN!!! in the 21st Century.
Relax je siang kerja bank, part time je men bola elok je main, player skrng full time footballer train dgn alat canggih pun main macam nak tak nak beza orang betul2 suka main dan demi lencana. Berlatih bukan sebab kena suruh sebab minat dan nak naik tarafkan skill sendiri.
My family respect Mokthar as a footballer and as a person. He always my idol till today.

Rupanya dulu pon dh ad bawang rangers
yg kata dia pakai dadah. Dah tentu dadah tu mahal. Xkan dia xkisah duit. Kalau dia amik dadah, msti dia nak duit banyak. Fikirla!
Saya pernah menendang bola'Tengo'.. Allah MMG berat sekali tambahan bila hujan perhhh...MMG susah hendak deras atas tinggi tetapi maybe ms tu age 12 tahun.. biasa bola dikg2 sure kalo main hingga tertanggal kulit luaran(ada duit hendak beli)..so bila Tome hujan dan sure kulit bola menyerap air..ms tu anda akan saksikan betapa azabnya UTK menendang bola.. MMG org dolo mempunyai sepasang kaki yg terbaik..ini mungkin dari kecil menolong keluarga di buat kerja2 kg cth ladang atau lain2 kerja berat so bila meningkat dewasa senang hendak developer bvoz otot MMG dah kuat sejak kecil.. Now kebanyakan player tidak buat kerja2 kg yg berat dan disitu sains sukan (UTK membina tenaga dan otot).. Resultsnya ada baik dan buruk so harab2 anakufa akar umbi kembali UTK try bermain bolasepak atau lain2 sukan.. terlalu byk cth dari rutin kerja berat di luar bandar menjadikan mereka ada rank dlm sukan..cth angkat berat Dr Terengganu x berapa km lepas. Lupa nama..tetapi dari berkat beliau angkat ikan di jeti laut..menjadi beliau menjadi Juara sukan Sea..

If you live in the great era of 70s...you will realise that the truly world striker for Malaysia was Syed Ahmad and Shaharuddin Abdullah. Syed Ahmad a top scorer in the Seoul Olympic qualifying tournament 1972, and Shaharuddin Abdullah was the first Malaysian striker to score in the Olympic. He was offered to play Bayern Munich but rejected the offer. Mokhtar...hero at piala Malaysia and Merdeka tournament only....this is the truth...
