Loved seeing your past finishes Kelly. I agree with you that these are not a 'box of shame'. Very much the oppositie - ' box of cellebration' of past stitching journeys. We don't have to frame or fully finish our stitching We stitch for the joy it brings and there is no reason to have an expectation that all projects will be fully finished. The joy you experienced in looking through your projects was so obvious, and we were all able to enjoy them with you. Perfect. Thank you for sharing with us, xx
It was lovely to accompany you through your cross stitch journey😀. It was like music, sometimes we know exactly where and who we were when we hear a song. It would be wonderful to see some of them behind you on the wall🤪. Looking forward to seeing you in your next video. Stay safe and well🌞🇬🇧
Great to see all your finishes but your bee 🐝 seamed to be missing. Glad Reggie is getting back to his normal self have a great week and happy stitching 🧵
WOW you are so talented !! You really need to have all of your finishes that you showed framed and put on that oh so big bare wall behind you and throughout your house.
You have so many! I love all of them. I finished a Major Mitchell cockatoo kit, that my brother sent me many years ago when he stayed in Australia. I was so glad to receive it. Because I’m in Quebec, Canada, it’s difficult to find so beautiful things, unless I ordered on Internet.
I think the 90's Tea Time was a Debbie Mum piece. I am working on the Woodland SAL right now. Love it! The Gecko Rouge stitch with the Caterpillar? On the toadstool is hilarious. I would make it i to a big pillow for my sofa. It made me laugh out loud. This was a fun video.
Thank you for this finish parade … I love it! This is especially because I have been browsing for Chinese style cross stitch patterns and kits recently. The one with the horse was actually based on a painting by a Chinese painter famous for his horses. The expression on the pattern that you didn’t stitch I believe to be a Chinese saying to wish someone success. The literal translation is something like, “When the horse arrives, success will follow.” Seeing how it would look stitched up, I am definitely going to buy the kit and switch to higher count fabric. For 11 ct Aida, I think those Chinese kits suggest using 4 threads to get better coverage. Anyway, love all your work … super inspiring.
Hi Kelly! I started typing on each piece, then decided to tell you they are all so pretty! In fact, I think if you asked which one is my favorite, I couldn't pick just one 😊 Certainly enjoyed this! Well, I do have a channel, so I'll think about it. Have a great weekend 🌷
Absolutely gorgeous projects Kelly, and I have a big box of finished pieces like yours, Im hoping to bring then here in the next couple of weeks and go through them. Looking forward to your next update Bronwynne xx❤
So nice to see your work, Kelly. I think the non-Juniper house was a DMC kit (maybe Olga Bastin?) - I know I've seen it somewhere. I'm stitching on my Frederick the Literate while watching you - it's full of block stitching so a good one to be distracted while doing!
It is such a shame that these are not displayed. Here in the USA, at Hobby Lobby, I picked up a very decorative hanger with two hooks. You could hem some of these and display off of the hanger, changing them out every so often.
Thanks Angie. You’re completely right. Hemming them and displaying periodically sounds like a wonderful idea. I can always frame them properly at a later date if I ever get around to it. Thanks for the suggestion. 😊
Hi Kelli. I always enjoy seeing what you stitch. Even if it is 25 + years ago. I think that house with the blue half stitch sky background was a leisure arts pattern. I have a couple that are from that era that look remarkably like yours. I couldn’t say what is was called but it’s so similar to mine that I’m sure it was theirs. At least yours is finished. Mine is 2/3 done.
Hi Kelly I think your 2004 stitch might be a Debbie Mumm design. The row of houses/buildings is a Juniper. 😊 Great finishes. I love the Juniper houses. Might have to look into getting some.
Hi Kelly. This was a fun trip: thanks! I used google lens on some of the pieces. The three early houses are: Juniper Designs A02 "Green Terrace", Juniper Designs "Sweet Pea" and Juniper Designs A15 Ding Dong Dell (at least 2 are available at JK's!). The 2004 one is a Dimensions kit "Tea Time Sampler" by Debbie Mumm. The village row is also Juniper Designs (at JK's) B06 Harbourside Strahan in linen.
I loved this video!! I love that you have a pile of finishes which don’t have to be framed or fully finished to give you pleasure! It’s really inspiring. About time I stopped starting all the things and started finishing all the things 😂
Hey Kelly. I'll finish the other half of your video later but just wanted to say the New York typography piece is Oberlin Samplers aka MM Waldock Designs. I've done their Michigan chart and Witches.
Last year I pulled my box of finishes and actually finished over 30 of them. The rest I have fabric pulled to finish those remaining. I used to stitch solely as gifts but these days I'm trying to stitch for joy for myself. It's expensive to frame but there are so many options to finish in other formats. I think it is a shame not to fully finish and enjoy all the hours put into stitching. Be selfish, finish them for yourself: flatfolds, pillows, project bags, quilts, frame yourself, etc. They don't have to be perfect!
Thanks Rebecca and how inspiring! I just need to devote the time to finishing them, but getting them out again has been motivating to finish a few more. Thanks for your suggestions and watch this space 😊
This is the first time seeing the animal piles all together. Absolutely LOvE the arrangement.
Hello 😊😊 I enjoyed so much your video, thanks a lot for sharing all these projects. It is so satisfying to see 🥰🥰
Really enjoyed the video Kelly and agree a quilt would look lovely.
Pleased to see Reggie back to his mischievous ways 😄.
Have a lovely week

It was so nice to see your finishes. Can't wait to see what you will decide with the pieces from the Earth day sal. Take care💖

Thank you! Aren’t we lucky to be able to source everything online these days. I love cockatoos, though they are very loud!

Thanks Lynn! I had planned to make a big pillow, I just haven’t quite gotten there yet, it is definitely a piece that makes you smile!

Big crash = Reggie feelin' fine and frisky. Finally. Yay! 😹
Fun walk down memory lane, Kelly. Thoroughly enjoyed. TY!
I really enjoyed watching this, love so many! Would like to see several framed and on the wall!! What a fabulous wall you could have!
Thanks Jane, it’s a dream to have a wall full of framed pieces, one day!
Lol...that cat...First time I ever saw a cat that actually looks guilty...haha 😂😂

Thank you Lucia! So pleased I asked and I had a feeling someone might know 😊
Kelly, very enjoyable! As always beautiful work!
Amazing work! Thanks for sharing your finishes with us 🤍

Thank you! And I reckon there’s nothing wrong with starting all the things either!
* Strahan Village Tasmania - Juniper Designs. Long linen piece
* Olga Gostin - Australian Heritage Houses series - Federation
Absolutely love the stack patterns with the editorial diseases…what a great piece
Thanks!
💜💜💜
Hey Kelly. I'll finish the other half of your video later but just wanted to say the New York typography piece is Oberlin Samplers aka MM Waldock Designs. I've done their Michigan chart and Witches.
Thanks Kim - that’s right, Oberlin Samplers rings a bell now. Thanks 😊
That first big house might be one of the Olga Gostin Australian Heritage pieces…
Thank you, I wondered that too, will have a look 😊

Beautiful work! 🦋🌻
Thanks Daniela! 😊
It was so interesting to see all your finishes! I do hope you will display the koalas, they are stunning. Those Geckos also need to be on the wall!
Thanks Justine, I agree. Working on it!
“Blanche’s nose dies NOT look ok” - ha ha ha ha ha
