I'm always happy to find a flosstuber who does other crafts, and mine match yours, i cross stitch, knit and quilt. I started cross stitching when i was a child in the 70s, was way into it throughout the 80s and 90s, then hit the pause around 2000. I started back 3 years ago, and even finished a couple that had been languishing in totes in the garage for 20 years. It's funny, back then I thought I was too good for Dimensions kits and turned my nose up at them, i was very into snooty stuff like historic samplers and hardanger. Now, i am looking for some of those out of print kits! I usually have 1 cross stitch project, 1 knitting project and 1 quilting project going at once. That's all i can manage, my children are grown but i still work full time. I would enjoy seeing the knitting and the quilting. You did a fine job on your first flosstube!

Welcome to Flosstube! Your WIPs look great! I have Beloved in my stash and have been thinking about starting it sometime soon. I just bought the Greenhouse of Oddities SAL last week and my fabric arrives today, 1 day before the first planting. So I think my plan for that is to start in the bottom middle and work my way up towards where she has said the 1st planting will be.
Thank you! That is probably a good approach to Greenhouse. I had every intention of having the frame part finished for the first planting... and then didn't. But I was happy to get the main Greenhouse framed at least.

Oh your HEAD is awesome, just stitching as I watch your video, have you tried a ball point needle, it could help you with stitching. I just learned about them myself and they are pretty great.
On your HAED that is making you bleed, have you tried using a thimble on the finger you are pricking? It might help. Welcome to Flosstube. I am enjoying your video!
I finally found a thimble that works for me so that has been helping. Before that I was such a disaster with thimbles that it was almost worse! Now I just have to get used to using it because it feels so weird to not feel the needle.... even when that needle is not friendly

Loved the video but also had trouble listening. There was noise in the background. Guessing maybe a mower bit could have been traffic or household appliance running. I was listening in EarPods.

On your HAED that is making you bleed, have you tried using a thimble on the finger you are pricking? It might help.

I finally found a thimble that works for me so that has been helping. Before that I was such a disaster with thimbles that it was almost worse! Now I just have to get used to using it because it feels so weird to not feel the needle.... even when that needle is not friendly
Have you tried the needles with the little head on the top? It’s really helping me with the bulky HEAD I’m working on
I haven't yet, but someone else also mentioned them. I am definitely going to need to try them!

thank you!! I don't, but I spend a lot of time in my trailer in the spring and summer. Especially when the house is noisy and I want some quiet.

Loved the video but also had trouble listening. There was noise in the background. Guessing maybe a mower bit could have been traffic or household appliance running. I was listening in EarPods.
Thank you so much for the feedback! I know! I heard that mower on the listen back but am not skilled enough yet to know how to get rid of it. But I have it on my list of things to work on for the next video - I will do my best to make it better. It might take me awhile to learn though :) But thank you for mentioning so I can work to improve
