Welcome to my channel! In this Flosstube (Cross stitch) episode, it's all about Mill Hill beaded cross stitch kits! I love them and thought it would be fun to sho my collection. It includes my finished kits, works-in-progress and kits I haven't stitched yet. At the end, I make plans for my version of Stitch Maynia 2020 in which I will be doing Mill Hill Maynia! Geez thanks alot for this video. Do you realize how long my Mill Hill wish list is now. Lol. This video was fantastic. I love doing Mill Hill kits. I have almost all the yearly Santas except for the last 3 years. And I've done about 4 of them. And I have done a few of the buttons and beads ones. They are so addicting. Heehee!! Wishlist ate more fun when they go on and on 😂 Have you stitched all those Santas? I'm not sure why I never buy the Santas, but it would look amazing seeing them all on a tree! I think He'll from Little Yellow House crafts collects the Santas, too. So fun!

Love what you've done! For the nutcracker sword you can glue a toothpick to the back and cover with an addition layer of felt overall. Tfs!

I am a Mill Hill junkie and have made about 50 kits over the years. Started in 2009. I have yet to make the smaller ones and after watching your video, I am inspired to make a few. As for finishing, I usually buy a thrift store frame and if it needs a mat, have it professionally cut and put it together myself. I am going to try a flat fold finish with one of my Halloween designs. Thanks for sharing and stay well to all.

@@calico_whimsy I have never done a TH-cam video and I don't keep most of my finished projects for long. They are given away to friends & family. I have thought about making a video because I feel I have the process down. And I feel it will demonstrate to those that want to start a Mill Hill kit, that they are relatively easy. As with any type of stitching, it just requires reading the instructions before you start and patience. I recently finished the Fa, La, La, Llamas, Holiday IV I Believe (Santa), Painted Pumpkins, & Cappuccino. My current WIP is Santa's Treats. In the near future I will be doing the Sticks Spooktacular & Today is the Day. Plus I am ordering some more kits from 123 Stitch as my family requests them. I want to mention that I don't exclusively stitch Mill Hill/ Sticks. I do stitch on fabric and love various designers as well.
Oh I hope you do take the plunge and start making videos! Pretty Please!! It sounds like you would be an awesome addition to the Flosstube community! We especially love videos that demonstrate how to do something, even if you just talk about it. I can hardly part with any of my stitching and don't know how you do it :). The recipient would have to prove they are worthy, lol! Other than my mom, or another stitcher, I'm not sure anyone would appreciate the hard work. Well, I hope you give it some thought and if you do make a video, be sure to let me know and I'll give you a shout-out!

Oh, Cool! I'll bet it's turning out so cute! You are lucky to live a little closer to Yellowstone than me, Do you go there often? I can't wait to go back again someday :) Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a stitching retreat at Old Faithful Lodge!!! I would die!
And now I want to go look through my Mill Hill stash. LOL. I have done the butterfly one you have planned for Maynia. I did it on 14 count aida and it turned out beautifully.
Oh, I keep meaning to try doing one on Aida instead of the Perf paper one of these days! I'm sure it looks amazing!

😂😂 I don't blame you! I'll tell you I'm having to practice great restraint to keep digging into my kits right now. If it weren't for commiting to my Fox progress this month, I'd be jumping in with both feet into AprilMaynia. But hence, I must stay the course with Mr Fox as to not disappoint those that voted for it 😊🦊
I'm so glad that you did this video!. I think that my favorite finish has to be your roller skates. Those pompoms get me every time I see them.
I have always loved your "Smores" since you showed it when you finished it. But, I didn't think that I would like the "Banana Split" until I saw yours. Now I need to get that one along with one of my most favorite kits ever, "Triple Scoop". I will be excited to see it stitch up. I did the larger "Gingerbread House" last year and loved it. After seeing the cottage that you did, I have to do that one too. So many beautiful kits and finishes. I think that the way you do the bead hanger now looks so much more finished. I'm going to have to copy you. I'll definitely be joining you for #millhillmaynia.

I just found your channel through "Cindy's cross stitch" and I am so glad she mentioned you! I have loved Mill Hill kits for many years. Your finishes, WIPs, haul and Maynia choices are lovely and I either have them or want them, especially the Halloween designs. lol Not the foodie ones though, I don't want to go down that rabbit hole. I may have to get the Bead Storage Solutions, what an awesome product.

So much fun seeing all your Mill Hill kits. I absolutely love stitching them and have several-mostly the 5 x 5 ones. They’re fun to do and when you’re done you just plop them in a frame and they’re ready to display. What a great idea to do them for Maynia. Can’t wait to see your progress. Will you do an update everyday like last year? I thought it was great. Happy Easter to you.
Thank you! Yes, super easy to stick in a frame! It was kind of stressful doing daily videos last year so I can't promise I'll do that again.....but I'll give it some thought! I'm not sure how interesting it will be to see all the starts. We'll see! :)
I just found your channel and I LOVED this video. I haven't done Mill Hill in decades and I currently own one buttons and beads kit called Spooky Gate. Your finishing on the ornaments is so neat and tidy. It just makes me want to make a whole Mill Hill tree. Where do you hang your non Christmas ornaments? Do you have something particular? I like to hang decorations on drawer knobs that I don't pull out much.

Calico yeah I immediately looked them up and they have Yellowstone, Grand Canyon and Yosemite. Would love for them to do more. Definitely going to keep an eye out.

Is it cross stitching and beading or just beading. How do you put on the beads? So beautiful! Love your projects.
You do the cross stitching first, then you add the beads by doing either a half or full cross stitch. I made a video that shows how do do it a few years ago. I'll find the link. It's so easy!

@@heidicraftydogs I've made a lot of the Mill Hill kits and get them from 123 stitch. Contact them via email to see if they will ship over seas. 123stitch.com. They have tons of designs. Save your excess beads because you may want to make duplicates of some. Be well.
