- The former TikTok personality Ali Abulaban was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of his wife 28-year-old Ana Abulaban and her friend 29-year-old Rayburn Barron.
Friday morning's sentencing hearing was dramatic.
Abulban's defense attorney asked the judge for a new trial, accusing Deputy District Attorney Taren Brast of prosecutorial misconduct. Her argument centered on a line of questioning that happened during the trial while Abulaban was on the witness stand. She told the judge it painted her client as a liar. However, the judge disagreed. He said Abulaban was on the stand for three days straight, and the jury got a full picture of him.

He still had the audacity to have an attitude during the victim impact statements and sentencing, AND tell the daughter not to blame herself as if she won’t blame him… the judge was right, no genuine remorse for what he’s done.
By the way. SHE DIDN'T CHEAT. She ended the abusive relationship and wanted to start a new life with someone else. He calls it cheating because he didn't accept her choice of ending their relationship. She was already preparing the divorce papers. It has nothing to do with legality, the majority of relationships end before they've been legally formalized. In many cases the party who can't let go will delay the process, that doesn't mean the non-consenting party is obliged to put their life on hold. Sorry, but that's just how real life works.
