This is the only tutorial I could find that actually tells you how to build a ship, all the other ones act like you already know how and try to teach you shipwright voodoo when I don't even know how to make another slot for more turrets

Actually you don't need any crew quarters if your ship needs 60 crew or less as the bridge provides that.

thank you, i was at 90 hours in and just now learned from you that you can hold left shift to place more than 1 of a thing at a time. i had become intimately familiar with very cost efficient builds and the default ships, not because they are good, but because they take less time parsing through those menus to produce.

how do you turn the maneuver thrusters around? scroll wheel doesn't seem to be working on those
I don’t think you angle them as they are automatically gimbled I.e. they rotate when in combat - the fixed thrusters only go down I think!
Is there a faster way to place parts without having to click and drag? I have tried every key on my keyboard
I don't think so (at least not that I've found)!
How do you place mirror image components? I mean, the ship in this example has the same landing chassis parts, and I do mean EXACTLY the same landing parts; like it has two left legs. How do you make a right and left leg?
And ships like the Nomad have feet parts on the landing legs. Do these actually do anything or do they just add mass for a more esthetically pleasing landing leg?
You've probably figured it out by now, but I believe you just rotate it the way you want and it will mirror itself automatically upon placing it.
As for adding the feet; it should make a difference. I've only got 4 hours though.
I made IJN Kaga Class over this, but it's unreliable for Combat. Strongly Defensive with it's many Blindspots CIWS 😂
is there a way to build ship faster than just holding shift???
I do not believe so - I have to hold shift to assign hull components - haven't found a way to drag a bunch together which would be nice!

maybe thats why they never added that option?

@@ShadowcoastGaming good luck because for me the fps started dropping for each block i added until it crashed when i added the guns because i wanted to test the ship weight

Glad to be of help - you need to install the large yellow panel the add in the large engines!

@@ShadowcoastGaming a very fast silent striker! One fixed large engine for speed and lift, 4 gimballed, then a quartet of bombs, two R3s, and a single 130 cannon. Called her the Yo-yo, for the rapid dives to give bombs maximum speed then blitz out
any hotkey like copy and paste in building ships?

Anyone know how to rotate parts completely? I can only rotate parts either up or down, or left to right
Like if you wanted to angle it at 45 degrees? I don't know if you can rotate it minorly from when I was playing a bit ago!

This game runs really badly at my laptop. It can run witcher 3 low setting but this 2d paper plane simulator runs in like 10 fps or so. If u guys got any of them performance tips. Let me know. Anyway have a great day

@@Krowns even a NEW player should be told how to make a good ship....otherwise it is useless guide....just USE the god damn brain....
