As a dart-frog breeder, I am always looking out for newer, up and coming froggers. I am impressed by your terrarium builds, your dart frog collection and the room in general! Well done.
7:50 My family is from Guyana and the pronunciation is Guy (like the word guy) then Ana (like Anna). When I was looking at dart frogs I was looking at those guys because they’re from my dads home country and found them listed as British Guiana, the old name of the country which I’m guessing is the reason it’s commonly mispronounced. I also found out that there were 3 or 4 other Guianas in the past which I thought was pretty cool
Excellent video and some stunning frogs ! I don’t have Ranitomeya reticulata but I do have southern variabilis. With time they will become more adventurous (I keep mine in a trio)
Hello, nice video! I saw you are using old aquarium for Dart Frogs. I've 60cmx30cm(base)x30cm(height) - 54liters aquarium which I want to convert to "vivarium" and still use it horizontally. I've repti planet digital fogger, I've ventilation system + top cover lid with LED in it. Do you think it will be good place for 2x Dendrobates tinctorius Azureus? (already saw your video with guide)
I mean, it could work, but you definitely won't regret going for a different setup right away. Aquariums are a pain to take care of in my opinion and I'll personally never go back to using them. Nothing bad for the frogs, just annoying to open from the top and I got really tired of all the condensation on the front glass (which would be avoidable with an animal-proof fan, but in my case, the glass itself had scratches on it too so it would still be ugly if I got rid if the condensation). The aquarium I showed in the video has since been dismantled and it was replaced with front opening tanks (an updated collection tour is coming out next week) and I know many other frog keepers who've taken the same route. 60x30x30 is definitely the absolute smallest size I'd keep any adult Dendrobates species in. I used to keep two leucomelas in that size for a year, but I'm definitely happy I upgraded them. The aquarium I showed in the video was close to 100 liters IIRC. On a side note, foggers aren't optimal for fart frogs. They can give the frogs breathing issues if the fog gets too dense, and a foggy environment isn't very similar to their natural environment. It won't hurt to have it running a tiny bit occasionally, but a misting system (or just hand misting) is much better than a fogger. Good luck with the build!
Hi! Great video! I have a 12x12x12 vivarium and I want to house 2 yellow banded dart frogs in there. I am planning on upgrading them in a year or two. I know it's a bit small for 2 frogs, but do you think they will be able to thrive for at least a little while?
Thank you! 12x12x12 works for young froglets or for short term temporary housing (like for quarentine or for if you’d have to isolate a frog for some reason), but you’ll definitely need to upgrade them much sooner than in a year or two. It’s probably easiest for you and best for the frogs to get an 18x18x24, or some other suitable permanent vivarium size, right away.
Great videos! What do you use for the vent on the dams of your eurostyle vivariums? It looks like it would be easier to work with than stainless steal mesh.
Thank you for the suggestion, but I’m planning on focusing on dart frogs on this channel. I’ll probably add a few plants to the crestie vivariums off camera though.
Awesome enclosures. Brilliant video.

I think it's called perforated plate in English but I'm not sure
@@Tropical_Tutorials I think that's it. Thanks!
Your unknown plant looks like it might be a form of Pothos scandens.
That is a name I’ve heard before when I’ve tried to ask what species it is. I’m not 100% convinced but it seems reasonable
Next vid should be a new crested gecko build!

中国能买到你的青蛙吗?可以的话留给我你的联系方式。谢谢

@@Tropical_Tutorials 那太可惜了。感谢你的回复,祝你好运常在
