There is no general answer to your question because it depends on where you request the permit (abroad: in which country; in Switzerland: in which canton), on where you get married (Switzerland or abroad) and on the individual case, f.e. if you need to hand in more documents, answer more questions etc. The best way to know is always to call the competent authority directly and ask how long it usually takes them.

I have no idea why TH-cam recommended this video, as I am not planning to marry a Swiss national but I do have questions. I am a U.S. Citizen and I am thinking of trying to relocate to Switzerland. First, I can speak basic German and French, will this help me to gain Swiss citizenship any faster than if I did not? Second, I have distant ancestry from Switzerland, specifically the village of Oberkulm, Aargau, although more than 8 generations back, is this taken into consideration? Third, will marrying a Swiss national support my efforts to gain citizenship? If yes to the preceding, can you advise me on how to impress a Swiss woman?
Speaking the language is definitely required to become a Swiss citizen, but there's other criteria too, such as the lenght of your stay in Switzerland. Your family roots go too far back with 8 generations to be taken into consideration. When married to a Swiss you can apply for the Swiss citizenship earlier (after 5 years), but you still need to meet the other criteria. Since impressing Swiss women is not my area of expertise, you'll have to find that out yourself ;)

I was remember swiss guys who i know from Tandem. 😂😂😂😂❤
do you have some single swiss friend ? .....
When any men marry to swiss women in switzerland …does govt or embaasy inform about marrige to his parents in india or not ?
No, the parents are not informed from the Swiss authorities.
Did they do any verification from his parents
You need to hand in a birth certificate which states the name of both spouses parents, but there's no need to contact them.
Sometimes these parents knows everything about marrige …they just support theier son to first marry in swiss After some years the told there son to divorce swiss wife again marry in india ..and worts is that they don’t even informed india girl nd her family that their son is divorced nd having secound marrige with indian girl …they are doing this kind of fraud
Is that easy after marrying with swiss and us and adopt her minor kids, the same way she adopt my kids and we live in Swiss as family?
Hi. Are you/your partner Swiss and one of you is a US citizen?
In general it is possible to adopt children of your spouse in Switzerland, but there's a few legal requirements that need to be fulfilled.
Hi Thank you for your immediate replay, sure we will connect to get more insight from you when the time will come. Appreciated your efforts to clear the fog.@@AAA_AskAnAttorney

Hi, I have never lived in Germany or Austria and did not study law there, so I cannot tell you the differences amongst these countries. But there might not be a general answer for your question, because it also depends on where you live within the country (city vs. countryside for example).

Having a high life quality depends on a lot of factors, regardless of the country. My advice is: Just see where you can find a job the easiest after your studies and try it there - and if you don't like it - change :).
