It is so enjoyable to watch and listen to teamwork like this. Not ego driven, collaborative. Both individuals with considerable experience working together and learning from each other.
The honesty to admit that you’re scared doing crane work even after all your experience is commendable. Every time I put saw to wood there’s definitely a moment where I consider how “scary” things could get and how badly things could go wrong. I always try imagine worst case scenario and account for/mitigate it. I’ll be honest and say that I’m a little scared every time I’m cutting big trunk or spar with any consequence. Stay humble, stay safe. Cheers
Jacob, About 31/2 years ago my wife and I saw the Giant trees along the Oregon Coast and then worked our way to Yosemite. The size grew and grew until some of the Sequoias we saw were up to 30 FEET in diameter, giant walls and the Redwoods, 20 feet. I remember watching old movies and seeing how those monsters were cut and felled with axes and hauled away with teams of animals. You use a combination of technologies which would have really looked like magic to the old Lumberjacks. Those machines that cut ,from the bottom, or cut and strip or the giant cranes to get aloft would have totally decimated those forests. At least some remote areas of Washington State have been saved. I like your compassion and style, the way you are preserving whatever you can! Cheers, Rik Spector Ferndale, WA
Never have I watched such a first rate video. The equipment was top notch. The people)all) were splendid. Never dreamt a tree would bleed so much sap! The saw caught on 🔥 fire. From the climb to the top to bottom I was riveted!! I could go on and on! Just fantastic!! WOW 🤩!
This vid was absolutely entrancing - I couldn't stop watching and in fact felt it ended too soon! 😀 Thanks a lot Jacob, you've now made me completely addicted to your channel!
Nice that You use Swedish Chains (y) Gunnebo is on the south-east coast, next train station is Jenny (normally the name of a girl = Jenny Lind ex.) from Jenny there is 3 track line down to Vaestervik harbour as it's both normal and narrow gauge.
Well this is evidence of the algorithm getting it right and am I ever glad it chose to recommend this video to me. I had no intentions of watching the whole thing right now, I was just gonna take a peek and if it was interesting I'd watch it later. That idea was quickly abandoned and I watched the whole thing beginning to end and enjoyed every second of it. I hate to see big, beautiful trees being taken down but sometimes it's a necessity and I have certainly enjoyed taking down plenty of big wood myself. I also enjoy driving big trucks and running equipment, so this was deep into my wheelhouse. You folks surely have some way cool gear to get the job done and I truly enjoyed the chatter as well. You all seem like you know what you're doing and that's always a pleasure to watch. That chain set-up is very cool and I've gotta say that I have never seen that much sap pour outta any tree in my life...and I didn't see an insect of any kind in it! Thanks for entertaining me (for an HOUR!! Ooops!!) I'll be subbing and checkin' out some more of what ya have. You guys keep up the good work and play safe!
Swedish chainsaw, Swedish chainslings and hooks, Swedish hooklift and right here a huge fan from Sweden! Great job, nice video and awesome editing as usual. 👍
The camera work and editing are on point with this video. Everything is perfect. Just the right amount of everything. Thank you Peter for having Jake along on this job and letting him share it with us. This was absolutely amazing! Great job Jake!
I have been involved in some major construction projects over my lifetime, on the engineering side of things, and I can honestly say that I have been really impressed with both your manner and approach to what still is a very, very dangerous way of earning a living, and; by utilising modern methods and equipment, reducing those risks to the minimum. I accept that some tall trees need to go, because of their being adjacent to human habitation, or because they have died, and in danger of becoming a threat to that same humanity: but your team’s approach to those wonders of nature is worthy of a salute.
OMG...that was a phenomenal series. You and your crew should all get an award for the awesome work. I especially liked the level of communication throughout. Great work Jake!!!
Good job treatment trees around hair and Oregon we like to see you watch didn't guys do a good job you'll always do keep it going Northwest trees are us over and out
I cannot believe it ,this vlog was the most sensuous video I watched! This was just about cutting a tree...however...thank you guys for such a pleasuring time spend with the crew!👍💖
I used to love the challenge of felling trees in tight quarters, although I have to admit I never cut anything this tall. Thirty, maybe forty years ago, I would have gone for it, but at 73, I can only watch and admire. Nice job!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this one! Peter seems like a very cool dude, would love to work for someone like him! Great teamwork out there. Nice work Jake et al.
Jacob, I cannot believe how close our life track has been only 20 years apart. I travel the Midwest climbing trees but mostly climbing towers. I think my tallest tower was 2900 and 190 for a tree. I loved climbing, I didn’t care a tower or tree. There is something cathartic about climbing. Thank you for keeping my 54 year old butt in the air, I won’t climb big anymore but I love watching others and you are up there. If you are in the Midwest let me know I have a shitload of gear
I am impressed with the sound quality of your sound system, I am not hearing any static, and the transition between speakers is phenomenal. The crane looks like it a shorter radius than my Frontier.
what a vid , love it when you stood on the tree for pictures , absolutely amazing Jacob , i really can't get over the amount of sap /water that came out at the bottom
Man, the joy from y'all is just contagious. Real harmony brothers and well, joyful to watch. And bonus, fire sap?? Wicked. It's a dirty job man, and I envy you for doing it.
Awesome video! The sap oozing at the end was insane! Loved the shots on top of the stick- that was a great idea. The new channel has been amazing so far- keep em coming! I would think any crew would love having you on the job helping and having fun.
This was one of the best if it isnt top 5 man😊. Felt special on this end too clicking with them chains the crew and the crane operator man. That was really something as well how much sap and tree yalls cut down
Loved the video and the comments between you two guys. I've never seen a tree shower sap. My heart almost stopped when you stood on the tree for the photo. And the stump grinding was icing on the cake! Beautiful church/location.
O my gosh u have me on edge standing on top of that tree but WOW WHAT A PHOTO hope it goes viral so awesome with the church in the photo to.great work.
Nice job by the crane operator to reposition you so he can swing away from you. Great setup with the radio technology. In my day it was all hand signals with me on the ground and my lead climber 40yrs taking it down. My crane op said Eddie was by far the fastest and safest he’s worked with. Oh the fat sticks you could make with one round. Great job on the documentation.
I absolutely love the communication all you guys have it makes working so much better and smoother probably doesn't even feel like you are working. Keep up the great work!
Wow that was a big job! Jacob you did an amazing job! Climbing up on that tree to do the photo op was a bit nerve racking but glad you are safe on the ground. Beautifully done! Thanks for sharing this with us!
Thank you again for another great video. I had a take away from this video that I relate to myself as soon be in the trades/ construction. You guys all felt excited about the work, the tools, the gear, almost as if it was the first time taking it into the field. I love that feeling and I hope you all maintain that for years to come. I always feel sad for people that get jaded and no longer feel that. Feels like they have lost part of their spark. They joy and excitement you all felt for what you were doing really comes through and that makes the video fun and carry weight. Thank you again and stay safe
You guys work really well together, great communication and lots of respect. A lot of guys in this business would love to have a boss speak to them this way. You both have great demeanors. Great job y'all!
love my 395xp.great dependable workhorse.stay lucky my friend.well jealous.of.the.crane.assistance.saves a.good bit of going up and down, and must be nice to know your logs going to be supported, and the crane operator is spot on.respect.maddog.West cork, republic of Ireland
Good on ya Jake ...that square ground on the 395 ... My life is so easy now. Peter's a top bloke, great crew. excellent comms. And that Grove, what turn radius, and great picks for its size.
This was awesome! The respect you all had toward one another in accomplishing this HUGE task is very commendable. Seemed you all had been working as a team for many years. To stand atop that tree, something else indeed. Beat wishes to you all. Hope you'll work together again soon! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Production quality is top notch! Really well done flipping perspective with the cameras and hear the conversations that way. Haven't seen it done like that before and I'm really impressed and the time it must have taken. Brilliant.
Mike, great video. Have you ever thought about a log trailer with loader to tow behind your tractor or truck. It would work great to haul your tree length or log length wood to your wood yard. They have a nice little cherry picker on them. Keep the videos coming.
Hey Jake you guys do a great job as a tree man myself I have total admiration and respect way2go keep up the good work and stay safe and healthy I hope you make a boatload of money I wish you all the best keep looking up
EPIC !!! Camaraderie was outstanding. Amazing work gentleman. The amount of sap that drained from that tree was incredible, I personally have never seen that much sap before. Thank You For The Amazing Video. * 2-27-2024 Lake Stevens Washington. PS; you standing on top of that tree made my own knees a little weak !!! DANG.
The conversation between Jake and the crane operator was very entertaining. Great job.
Yeah this aspect of viewing and hearing the different interactions I find the most entertaining.
I09
i liked that the crane operator kept getting out of the crane to take pics! and just let the crane do its thing
That was super cute!
That’s what two seasoned professionals sound like, loved the interaction around safety and best practices. Thanks for sharing.
Back in my day???? We didn't need no fancy crane, the man on the ground caught the log with a baseball glove!
i'm so glad you had the balls to leave your old job. every new video is better than the last.
It is so enjoyable to watch and listen to teamwork like this. Not ego driven, collaborative. Both individuals with considerable experience working together and learning from each other.
That has got to be the best crane job I've ever seen. The conversation between you both was great and definitely one to remember.
I have been cutting trees for over 35 years. Jacob is one of the best I've seen. And he doesn't have a pompous attitude.
The honesty to admit that you’re scared doing crane work even after all your experience is commendable.
Every time I put saw to wood there’s definitely a moment where I consider how “scary” things could get and how badly things could go wrong. I always try imagine worst case scenario and account for/mitigate it.

I still get scared every time I get into a tree. I was told if you’re not scared, to quit
@@WhiteleyBrandon100% true. A sense of fear and butterflies nervousness keeps you very alert.
34:42 - standing on top of the world 😂👍
Awesome watching two professionals work together without either of their egos getting in the way. Excellent work!

This vid was absolutely entrancing - I couldn't stop watching and in fact felt it ended too soon! 😀
Thanks a lot Jacob, you've now made me completely addicted to your channel!
Jake and the crane operator are great to great together, two America n men doing their thing 👏. Good to see 👀 👍. I love it.
Peter's comment that people have walked all around the area, but not there, for 110 years. Pretty neat moment in time.
The communication between you guys rallied my own confidence. Crazy! Awesome!
I love the pics and video on this job! Fire and sap! Lucky you were out of the way!

German saws 100% better
Bit late but Swedes do make pretty decent bits of kit
One of the coolest tree cuts I've seen, completely off the WOW scale!
What a fantastic collaboration....and the scenery and location just stunning.
Love the series & your friends who work with you. Glad you haven't gone blind with no goggles! 😊
The camera work and editing are on point with this video. Everything is perfect. Just the right amount of everything. Thank you Peter for having Jake along on this job and letting him share it with us. This was absolutely amazing! Great job Jake!
Ok, the pictures standing on top of the tree were pretty badass as well.

Any guy would be proud to work in such a great environment. Great respect for each other, it shows in their work.
Excellent footage! Great job Jake. That sap was wicked!
That is one of the best tree removal videos I've seen in a long time. The Hawk then you standing on top. That Rocks!!

Peter and his crew were amazing!
The only time I got worried about you was when you climbed on top of the tree! Great video! Great bunch of guys you got to work with!
These guys really go out of their way to protect the customer's property. When they leave, it's as if they were never there. Impressive.
Unbelievable! The machines that make it all possible. I can’t help but thinking back in time when it was all done by hand.😊
That Peter dude seems like a really cool guy to work for.
Great recruiting tool for Peter and Seattle Tree Care. I think it shows a good place to work.
He may be the kindest man I’ve ever met, he is a wonderful guy to work for

This was a great cut. Good communication and Co-ordination . Respect from New Zealand
Absolutely perfect guys loved it from start to finish 👍✌😊
Awesome project. Great set of videos, never seen logs pour sap like that, just a river flowing at the end.
Cool job and so agree about the Husqvarna saw I have always liked them best to.
That was the best recording of a 2-way conversation over headphones that I have seen/heard. The editing of that must have taken quite a while.
Thanks! It probably took me 40 hours to edit this one
