This is why we need priesthood and RS sessions. So sad that it's not happening any more.

I am a faithful member of the church and I know God can do all things. It seem s in the olden days many people were healed instantly. The Savior didnt bless someone then say in a few day you’ll be good. Zeezrom was healed instantly having a burning fever. I don’t get sick very often but when I do it’s a rough one. Last time I got sick i got a blessing by a worthy priesthood holder and exercised faith I continued a few more days in sickness and lingering ailment. Same this time. It seems the will of the Lord is for me not to be healed. Very frustrating.

if priesthood healing works, why weren’t the prophet and apostles in hospitals blessing the sick during the covid pandemic?

Hello, brother. I'm sorry to hear of your illnesses. As many can testify, sometimes modern priesthood blessings do come to pass instantly. Conversely, sometimes even ancient healings did not happen instantly. Consider Naaman, the Syrian, who came to Elisha to be healed of leprosy. It wasn't until he dipped himself in the Jordan seven times as instructed by the prophet. What I do know is that God's power is real and that His will and timing may make it difficult to see His healing at work sometimes. God bless you, my brother!

@@mikkifrompreston Maybe they were. What's more important is that one does not need to be blessed by a prophet or apostle to have access to the same priesthood power the apostles and prophets hold. The newest elder in the church has access to the exact same power and authority. As Elder Oaks talked about, the main element is the faith of the one asking for the blessing. I personally believe that God accounts and makes up for situations where physical contact may not be possible, such as in hospitals during the Covid pandemic. God bless you!

@@mikkifrompreston it’s the mindset like this which misses the point entirely.
Where is the faith of a mustard seed to move mountains?
Do the people in the hospital have faith of God or are they just saying it because they’re desperate? Many people who pray for healing, do not do any of the required steps to receive the healing.
They don’t change the mindset or their actions and behaviors, their habits stay the same, they just are surrounded by fear and they plead . They do not have face to take the actions that would bring about real change and healing.

You have said you don’t get sick very often but when it happens, it’s a little rough. Of course it’s going to feel rough because it’s overtaking your body and your body has to adapt to overcome the sickness.
One could argue the fact that you rarely get sick as a sign of the miracle of you being protected by your faith and your deeds .
If you never got sick, that would be great, but also you need challenges in your life to refine you . If you are not grateful when you’re healthy and you get frustrated and you are sick, maybe it’s a message of something you need to do to continue to perfect your character.
Maybe you’re just not looking at this from the bigger picture. And sometimes life is just rough. It happens. How we react to it though that’s what’s important.

@@michaelyobs4448so it only works for believing, worthy LDS members? But only if God wants it to work?
Does that not seem suspect, that it only works for those who are worthy, but not always?
Seems just same odds as chance….
