One thing I noticed switching back and forth between my Electric and 450 is I had to dial down the power on my Electric to about 5 horsepower under my 450 to get a faster lap time than my 450. The more power I put got sloppy and my lap times would slower. I find the benefit of the electric is you can focus more on the lines you take because you have less to manipulate on the bike compared to a 450. The 450 put down the power smoother not causing as much rodeo or bucking in the whoops and breaker bumps. Now I'm playing with the throttle curve to see if I can match my 450 throttle curve which I love the feel of. It was more predictable. I'm not anywhere as good as you but it is what I felt switching back and forth. It's like riding a stock stand-up jetski and then getting on a modded one and it is constantly porpoising and ripping your arms out rather than a smooth throttle acceleration. You were ripping on both. I love the POV view. Not many TH-camrs give us that anymore. Thank you, Aj.
Great video, AJ. That is one gnarly track and you rode it well. Watching top guys ride 450's makes it sound like you are just putting around, making the case that a 450 is too much bike, perhaps?? The Stark seems blindingly fast on those few sections where you could open it up. Also, my home track I have ridden since 1984 sponsored you a few years ago at Ironman, I think. That track is Lincoln Trail Motorsports in Casey, IL.
One thing I noticed which probably affected the times was different lines. On the 450 on the one right hand turn you were going inside. On the stark you were hitting it outside and putting you going over the whoops. I think the stark would have been faster. By the way this is AVETTER174 . Not sure why I am showing up on my old TH-cam account. Either way that track looks fun!! I want to try a stark sometime!
Yep, that was definitely a difference although I don't know that it would have been enough to close in the 3 sec gap between the two. It certainly would have been much closer if he had used the same line in that section for sure.
I was about to say the same thing. But was he maybe switching different lines as he was carrying more speed going into that right hander so had to choose the outside line? It’s definitely slower coming out of it though.
@@199Pastrana so you never went to a track with a gas can in your truck? Pretty cheap to keep 10 gallons of gas for you and ride all day. Definitely not 7500 for a battery. Try again little boy
On a tight track like that I think suspension and set up means quite a lot, maybe more so than horsepower / torque and engine-choice.. Off course, you'd be faster on a Stark or 450 than on a 125 but you get what I'm after.. The Stark is faster than a 450, no question! It has better torque, it's always in the right "gear" no matter what etc. but you can only ride as fast as the circumstances allow. There is also the different brakes (your Stark has handbrakes only) which might be better in theory but AJ´s been riding with footbrake his whole life (most people has).. When I ride my friends Starks from time to time, I´m sure I'm faster on them, or should I say, I´m sure I would be faster on them than my own Husky if I had owned and bee riding them more often than just on random occasions.
Had to have been alot in the suspension setup. And maybe because on the gas bike you have a feel for fast your going by what gear you are in and hearing the rpm range. With the stark you kinda lose that mental speedometer
Honestly I can care less if electric is faster both in moto and car worlds I think you lose so much in the electric world not only sound feel but I'd they all go the same speed it's not as fun to watch. If pro motocross ever go's all electric it definitely as a fan won't be fun to watch.
LGBTQ rainbow boy bike stark is powered by penguin farts, its for nancys who don’t like hard work and don’t like things to be too difficult they want it all easy, there’s nothing honourable and special in anything that comes easy
You’re not wrong. They can plug it in at the track and it still won’t last. Pure garbage! I don’t give 2 fucks how much HP the thing has. It’s just stupid.

6:45 the bike sounds like a turkey haha

What’s up with the truck crossing the track @3:35? SCETCH!! 😅
Yeah that was not a smart decision to do that
AJ your dirt stach was on point...nothing cosmopolitan about that 🤣

Yessir comment I was looking for I’d like to see a lap on the stark where you hit that inside triple on that first right hander
I was about to say the same thing. But was he maybe switching different lines as he was carrying more speed going into that right hander so had to choose the outside line? It’s definitely slower coming out of it though.
That stark is also much heavier. I bet you get worn down much quicker. 3.5 seconds is a huge amount.
Epic video! Pov, 3rd person view AND drone view!!!
Damn y’all got some big-ass flying insects down there. Wasn’t really AJ on the 450, it was Jett.
$14k vs $10k. One you can fill up and rip all day.. The other requires a $7500 extra battery. These are rich kids toys.
They just cut the battery price in half
You will have to tell me which motocross bike you have which you can fill up once and rip all day 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The truck casually driving across a live track 🤦♂️
I’d never buy an electric dirt bike! Nope.
I been low energy drink water stay motivated
Starks looks amazing , your the reason i wanna get one

in some points you changed your line between Stark and Honda. I think that's not fair
I can ride all damn day on a honda.. How about that ev crap?
With a D class hero like yourself the stark will probably last all day.
