Well, I'll be jiggered! Finally, a radio that looks pretty good on the bench right out of the box. Yes, an alignment will benefit things for sure. Hook this up in your mobile and run with the Big Dogs. Hook it up, on the bench, with a high drive power pusher and talk with ALL the Dogs. Nice option to the $600-$900 radios. Drooling over all these new radios. Until I see the monetary necessity. 😲 Very happy with what I have. Motor Mouth Maul, saying howdy to my little setup, says it all. 😁 '73's. 😑🦗
Hello! Help please. I have this in the N4 version. All was fine until three weeks later.. the SWR shoots sky high, only with the amp on. I’ve ran it normally with amp on prior. I checked my antenna and tested it with similar 400 w radios and all is fine. What could be causing the spike in SWR all of a sudden?
@@TheRadioGarage ten four. It sounded good In The video. I thought I remembered you saying the n2-n4 didn’t have the best audio/modulation like say my general Lee does.
@@TheRadioGarage the specs says 7.25 in for both ( width, wide ). I know length it’s larger tho. But I’m asking about widely not the length. In my car it can fit a cobra 29 with a rfx in the back perfectly So length it’s not a problem. But the wideness 😩. Help Happy Xmas 🎄
@@xszl I'm a sucker for older gear. Cobra 148, ham international and president grants... I might be a bit harsh on the ranger but just look at the price of it...

Didn’t know that was an issue with the x9. I know the galaxy Starlite has a bad hum.

Hard to believe it doesn’t come with FM?
Can be added easily. There is a FM conversion mod that turns the PA switch into the FM mode switch.
