I have this same exact radio .and I'm going to warn everyone about one thing concerning this radio. It does not come with a heatsink in the back I highly recommend you putting one on. And as far as the internal cooling fans well they have a lot to be desired. I also recommend if you purchase the radio to install a amp on and off switch. Because the internal amplifier will get warm very fast. Also bear in mind the radio does not have a 10K switch. So that's just something else to look out for. I myself use a road devil microphone and everyone says that sounds great on that radio. Other than that it's a great sideband radio as well no drifting whatsoever.

But I wonder, as some are reporting that these radios don't drift, if perhaps that's why only a fine adjustment. ?? Just a thought. However, that negates those who want to slide down, so no course, would be a deal breaker for me.
@@BlondieSL Drift isn’t the problem. Because there is no coarse adjustment there are frequencies that a lot of people use on SSB that you can’t get to. Like my Anytone 6666 doesn’t have coarse adjustment but I can change the each individual frequency digit to get to whatever frequency I want to. Which you can’t do with this radio from what I’ve heard.

Rooster I have a x9, and I have to turn my knob on and off several times to power on, I’ve check my owner on the plug, running 8 ga alone. Once it’s on it will stay on. Any suggestions. ThNks

@@rawrsteel88 the 203p is limited to what type of radio you can use. Id recommend no more than 25 peak, the manufacturer recommends 12 peak. Buying the x9 would set you up to run a 4 pill in the future if you decided to uograde
I like roosters moded uniden 78. The big superior n6 is to big to run in a 8 pill c box. the connex 3400 there all to big to run in the two pill driver but the uniden. China can't make electronics there junk. When the Toshibas went out the hg transistors were a waste. So any 8 pill not to see smoke, you need half the drive for it to last. There blow up boxes people make fun of tubes but a ceramic will last forever. A 3cx 3000a7 the max to last is 5500 watts not 10,000 watts a 15,000 the tube size numbers run that for your limit on audio not my tube can do double. Eimac tubes you can still find them. There's not a radio yet to run in a 8 pill to last. Styker has the best audio frequency response out on a mic. They don't make a 200 watt radio. I don't like echo I'm a bass type of guy.

Partner these radios are made in China now I don't know how well you're going to be able to get them but right now I know where it is ranger 2950s 2970 and 4S and threes and then twos selling anywhere between the last and for was her 1200$ and higher the n-3 went for 1100$ n-2 went for $900 to $1,000 the strikers the 955 and the 655 and the 497 and the other 447 and those radios are going anywhere between $800 to $900 we're not going to be able to get them from China I'm telling you by it's going to lock those damn things up where we can't get them in here the ammunition from Russia ain't going to happen with guns ain't going to happen hell even that one place that says narinko guns that make a copy of them all ain't coming in no more eating some computers ain't going to be able to come in is one hope and if that place ever in Japan that makes the the finals for amps and radios you know the the red pills for the amplifiers the Toshiba there was something coming back saying they might read those machines and that was on on the British broadcasting Network the BBC and it's like on channel 48 up here around Cincinnati the PBS that does the Japan news they're the ones that said it go on there you'll see what I'm talking about partner and they're actually thinking about doing it because they're so high in demand they got to a final coming out that's like the toshibas and it's square check that one out partner but the radio prop things they're going to be a few and far between to find them but there's a place in Japan that's thinking about making them those are so popular over there in Europe and hopefully the same thing about the finals but they won't be around I don't think they'll be square and just like the older round Toshiba they're just be square so check that s*** out man when we seen it on TV or damn we couldn't believe it it's showing up over there and they're coming out with new radios and and everything else but they're going to call him Toshiba there in high demand so makes money they're not stupid so hopefully they'll do it

You might want to try RCI 99N2 or 99N4 if you happen to get a chance . Love the on face amp turn off .
