In an alternate reality where Baltimore didn't fall to decay, I dreamed of sending my child to Peabody. It became too unaffordable, and too heartbreaking to watch the places I loved as a child fall to ruin, so we moved away ten years ago. My old high school has less than 10% proficiency in math these days...the political corruption fueling the decay is maddening.
I can understand the dream of sending your child to Peabody. It seems to be a wonderful school with a long and interesting history. It's definitely lame when we see things we love change negatively. I hope where ever you are now you are content and happy. Maybe one day Bmore will be a great city for everyone to thrive and we'll return and feel proud. Thanks for watching and sharing!

Unfortunately, most patrons weren't permitted to go to the upper levels. Special permission had to be requested in advance and I just dropped in for the day. I would have loved to see the books up there and have a different perspective of the library from up there!
Did you just walk in? I've wanted to visit that library for years but I've been told by a few people that you need to get clearance to enter the library from someone in the institute if you aren't a student since it's not a public library.
Yeah, I just walked in. I looked on their site and I didnt see anything about having to be a student so I went. Theres a security desk but they didn't bother me. Go check it out!
