- Aloha Beauties! As requested here is an update on my makeup collection, storage and organization. Below is a list of where I purchased my organizers/containers/shelving.

I love how clean and organized everything looks now. I've noticed that clutter is so easy to build-up sometimes it's hard to just get away from it unless you just take a day and throw things out. Thanks for always being an inspiration!
I can this video over and over and over again without getting tired of it. It's just so great. I wish I had that much makeup.
Haha yeah Michael is a rare treasure of a person to find. As delightful as shopping therapy is... I've found decluttering and getting a grip on hoarding habits gone wild feels far better. To appreciate all that we already own, reinstates the value of those things and lessens the desire to go buy more. :)

Same here! I was shocked to see they had changed them, packaging and everything. I have one set of the new ones, although I haven't tried them yet so I can't compare. But at least they look to still be the same quality I fell in love with. :)
Aloha! Welcome to the islands! The heat, humidity and sweltering Hawaiian sun definitely affects how our makeup wears. I rarely wear foundation out and about during the day just because I feel my skin needs to breathe. My only tip is less is more in the heat. Although I realize that might not be helpful for what you're wanting.
you just inspired me to clean out my whole room with all my possessions! even though i didn't have a lot of makeup compared to you i got rid of what i just didn't use or even need. i also organized my whole room and cleaned out my closet, i got rid of all my clothes and shoes and donated them. thank you so much for the inspiration!

Aww, I bet the hubby is breathing a silent sigh of relief lol. They're such sweethearts! I totally hear you about the YT influence. Funny, the more I watched the perpetual excitement about every new product and haul, the less interested I became lol. Weird, I know. I agree, being practical and realistic with purchases, is much more rewarding and refreshing.
I love this collection, literally love! I love the fact that you have everything so organized and looks great! I love that you really don't have tons of foundation, too! It just doesn't make sense to me when people have tons of foundation.. like you don't need a variety of foundation. But anyway. I just love this collection! It's so organized and just looks great. I'm a student and don't have a lot of make up. The only make up item i'm always looking for is a better foundation because of my bad skin, my eyes, lips etc always look pretty much the same. Before your videos I was always thinking that I should buy more eyeshadows and other stuff so I would have my own little collection. Now I'm more happy with what I have and don't feel the need to buy more, I got all I need :) Thanks for making me feel this way!

The size of your collection sounds perfect to me! In fact, just seeing you list your products like this in print has given me an idea, I should do the same! #1. Itemize what I currently have. #2. Then create an itemized inventory of my ideal collection. Hmm, should I film this project?

Great questions, the only change is reality set in, and the realization that I was literally throwing my money away by stock piling makeup that I would never be able to use up. It hit me how absurd it was. I still love makeup, tutorials, sharing favorite products, etc. But my constant consumerism was ridiculous, it's considered "normal" by YT standards but just collecting makeup wasn't practical for real life being that I'm not an actual makeup artist, just an enthusiast. :)
it's all good; I think this happens when a lot of people comment more or less at the same time and YT just can't keep up. it was basically saying that, like many other viewers, i was inspired by your less mess less stress approach & will also put some of it into practice for myself in 2013 and mostly to thank you for the inspiration and for your honesty :)

Such an inspiring series, Sweetie! I am going to take another look at Hard Candy, since the display at my Walmart is always such a mess, I never really look at it! Your organizing will probably help you to use up more of what you have. And I love that you donated such nice things to the shelter for women! Way to go!

I love Hard Candy pin up too!! And I'm super fair, so I use it as a bronzer instead of a highlight. Just goes to show how universal it is! :) I even have a back up, because I use it every single day!
Oh, good eye! Yep, those are my Spornette brushes, I love dual bristle brushes, boar bristle and nylon combos are must haves in my hair care collection. :)
LOVE this series of vids!!!! You have inspired me soooo much! I read a story about na family where each person (including the kids) could only own 100 things, total. That's a bit extreme for me, but with that story and you doing these vids, I've pared down so much! I resisted the urge to shop yesterday because of your video-it only makes me feel better in the short term Thanks so much!!
Thanks! Back 2 MAC is their recycling program, save up 6 empties and return them for a free lipstick (at counters) or free lipstick or eyeshadow (at store locations).

Thank you! Haha, yes you guessed it! Ross! Yeah we're lucky this is a pretty mellow little island. People shop respectfully and don't trash the stores, which is appreciated by everyone. I hear ya though, I have seen some bad ones in other cities.

I've never tried 100% Pure makeup, I've heard mixed reviews. But their body creams and scrubs are must haves for me, so delicious!
She did and I agree, I think they were one of the best drugstore concealers I have tried. :)
Your whole simplification process is inspiring! I Know you said you want to continue with the declutter process. Have you considered turning everything upside down or the wrong way, and then putting it right side up as you use it. In 6 months to a year (whatever you feel is best) you get rid of everything in the wrong direction b/c it's not been used.
I love your set-up, it looks so great with less clutter!

I love that marble type of table on the vanity , it's beautiful ... I like that you have a lot of Too Faced products, i dont see that often in videos like this, those always atract my attention, id like to get some of their stuff.
I would really love to see "products I've used up" videos now that you have a goal to use up makeup. I was thinking it may be a good way to remind yourself that you're actually accomplishing your goal of using things :)

Aww, no worries here love! I've got it all figured out, knowing approximately how long it takes me to go through those items, what I currently have should carry me through the year fairly easily. But if I do finish something that I just can't live without, I have 10 credits to use for those must haves. ;D
i really think you've begun a new trend here on yt! we all have too much stuff which adds to our stress level we experience on a daily level i think. You inspired me to declutter my bathroom, vanity and even my wardrobe :)

I find the best way to use up makeup is to separate makeup into "daily" looks. For instance I have three blushes (one pink, one peach and one sparkly rose) that I use with particular items of makeup to make one makeup look each. I have had lots of makeup but this process seems to help me use products up faster.

Yes, it's so funny how things collect and start piling up over time. I was actually thinking each time I felt tempted to buy some new piece of makeup, that instead I would take that exact amount of money and put it into a separate savings, then at the end of the year I would see how much I would have spent. So if I decide to do that, I'll share the outcome. :)

I recently did a purge of my makeup, clothing, nail polish etc. and it really felt good. But I still find myself missing some of the things that I tossed. I'm giving myself a goal to use up at least 5 things before I buy anything makeup related. Good luck! You're a great role model :)

Super organization!!! It would be easily possible to pare down by 90% to just top faves via blog sale in the next year, just an idea that kept coming up for me the entire time watching this vid.

And after all of that you still have an amazing collection. It will take 5 + years to go through all those blushes and eyeshadows alone - or longer! Those Tarte blushes will last forever!! What I really like that you did is keep only those things you truly love and will use. I have two towers of muji shelves plus a stack of palettes and it all seems overwhelming to me. I'm going to try not to buy anything else either and use what I have. I need to do this in all areas of my home and my life!

"Hope Girl" I believe it's a Korean cosmetic line, my friend sent it to me from Thailand. It's excellent quality and about the same price as a MAC lipstick.

Everything is nice and clean, you have all your favorite products left now that you've selected what you really want to keep.
