    Assalamu Alaykum brother,
I am hoping to apply to medical school in the near future, but a huge concern of mines is the high tuition and costs and I'm afraid of taking out interest based loans bc of riba. Is it alright if you make a video about how to pay for medical school and your experiences.
thank you! and BTW, I love binge watching your videos, so informative :)

Wa alaikum assalam. I won’t give specific recommendations since that seems like a religious scholar’s domain, but most students I know take out interest based loans (I’ve heard a few scholars or imams say it’s okay for med school, but they seem to be a minority). Other students get funding from parents or family (usually wealthier families), but sometimes communities might come together to help a student with non interest based loans. There are also Islamic loan options you can look into. I know some students who worked really hard in undergrad and got free tuition for med school, but that’s very difficult to do. There’s a couple free tuition med schools you can apply to as well. Also, there’s programs like through the military or working in underserved areas that will cover your med school tuition. The range of tuition costs is also pretty vast, so maybe look into cheaper schools and in-state tuition options. Lastly, some religious scholars who are against interest based loans say that you don’t need to go to med school since there are others who will do so, and some people choose a different career that doesn’t require interest based loans. Hope that helps!

Hi Adnan, I am interested in Blood bank, and am current pathology resident,
from 35:55 to 36:30 He mentioned that he will be able to retire comfortably , also he said that “ only in very few disciplines in medicine we don’t have great opportunities for income and security... “ He mentions that in in his field that has been the case ...
So I guess he means that he had good opportunities in income and security in his field of blood bank ,right?
Sorry Just wanted to ask you because my listening is not the best.
    Thanks for such informative videos,
    Oziel

Great subject matter to be interviewed!
However, I believe each of these doctor's five minute answers could've been reduced to 45 - 90 seconds long

I am curious if a person is multi-racial/biracial, how do you determine which ethnic group of the donor that you are looking for to get the best match?
