I actually really love that theyre doing something similar with FNVs reputation system that was shoot on sight unless you where a disguise and not fo4 where the BoS/vault dwellers just were sassy towards your ghoul companion. I want to see more interactions and concequences from factions :D
Hmm. Tyr's Australian right? I wonder if they held a separate event over there?🤔 I'd expect so, but there were a number of people over from the US at the one I attended back in May, so who knows?
My biggest concern always comes in map additions. If they added or expanded the map to the edges of the map, where you couldn't go or build before? Perfect, that's fine. But when they decide to add stuff to places where you currently can build your camps or add props to already scarce flat build spots, that is annoying and frustrating. Not having flat spots is the most annoying thing about camp building in this game.
I can not wait now I've been waiting for what feels like years 😂 looking great by the sounds of it. Always wondered what it's like being in the ghouls shoes now it's finely going be fantastic.
I've started pc playing a few months back, haven't touched the brotherhood quest line, I heard there may be something special if your a ghoul during it.
I suspect that's unlikely. There's much less demand for it and there wouldn't be a great deal of difference from being a ghoul. Both are immune to rads and most of the combat advantages would lean in the direction of melee too. About the only major difference I can think of is that even fewer NPCs would be willing to work with you. It would be tough to disguise yourself too, so you might end up shut out of content.
Super Mutants probably wouldn't benefit as much from Radiation like the Ghoul does. I also imagine that Super Mutants probably wouldn't be able to use certain weapons (Mainly pistols) or use Power armor. However they would probably have a much Higher Health Pool in order to make up for that. Main problem I see with Super Mutant would be how would you be able to use the Pip-boy. Super Mutant are rather big and I doubt the Pip-boy would fit on ones arm.
No I shouldn't think they'd get the same radiation benefits but they would be otherwise immune to it. You mentioned Power Armour, I wouldn't think any armour would fit a Super Mutant at all. (Unless power armour without the frame perhaps? 🤔😂)
@@DarthXionGames just see what's underpowered in the game right now and make super mutants benefit from it, like pipe weapons for example. it doesn't have to make much sense lore wise, i mean it's 76 lots of lore stuff has been thrown out the window already. even what i've been seeing from the new ghoul class is shaky at best. have a quest that lets the general apalacha population know you're a good super mutant like that grahm guy
I’m gonna be pretty disappointed if we can’t walk through the Whitesprings Resort and run Radiation Rumble without being ignored by Ghouls. They don’t attack each other, so if they attack us, it’s not gonna feel authentic.
I think they do attack you. I'm not sure it would be practical or even a particularly good mechanic to apply to players. It's another grey area with ghouls I think too. Sometimes they do attack sometimes they don't.
I didn't try that tbh. Ghouls don't need to eat but I don't know if they get the benefits of it or not. They can get Rads from food and use those. There's even a perk to enhance that.
While it was probably a factor, we've been clamoring for race choice in Fallout for a very long time and 76 is a testing ground for the future of the franchise. Being a long term game, these changes can't be permanent as it could make a character with hundreds of hours on it useless.
They normally open the PTS for thenext update a few weeks after the last one, so this lines up with that. It's a huge feature too, with a lot of moving parts. I'd imagine they want to get as much testing done as possible. There's also the Xmas break to factor in. People off work might be able to get a good bit of testing in.
Question...you change features when becoming a Ghoul. When reverting back...do you have your original face, or will you have to redo it? If you do revert back, please let us know.
That's a good question. I don't know. I'd guess you redesign it, but you might also keep a human version of the ghoul face. I think reverting is unlikely as they probably won't save your prior appearance, but it's not impossible either. 🤔
As someone who spent quite a bit of time designing my character, during beta, i will do this on a secondary character. But regardless how good the ghoul is, i will pass on it with my main toon.
It's not constant. Just present when you're in the glowing state. Once the resource is consumed the glow will fade. Of course that means you don't get the benefits of the glowing state until you become more irradiated again. Otherwise though I wouldn't think you'd be able to turn it off, no.
I am hyped they are doing this Fallout early series was wonderfully dark basically fallout 1 through New Vegas after that they started getting more an more PG-14 which really annoyed so I avoid alot of the cartoonish bullshit an keep my builds much more early style
That would be epic. I'd guess that it's something you'd have to find on your journey if it were included though. I doubt BGS will deviate from you being a vault dweller.

Congratulations on the invite Darth, I heard TYR was there too. Looking forward to the pts stream. Thanks for the new information.
Hmm. Tyr's Australian right? I wonder if they held a separate event over there?🤔 I'd expect so, but there were a number of people over from the US at the one I attended back in May, so who knows?
Already got a melee build that will highly benefit from this addition.

The new locations here make the map bigger. It's not on the scale of Skyline Valley but it is new space.
And the few flat spots there are, have enemies spawn in or nearby. So few good camp spots.
I just started a new character to ghoulify when this comes out! He'll be lvl 50 by then! Yay! This is going to be great!!
Honestly? Might make a whole new character just for the ghoul.
That's what I'm going to do. I'm leaving my main character a human, but making a second character just for this Ghoul feature.
@@johnpenguinthe3rd13 the only thing that is holding me of doing that it's the grind of legendary cards.

It's definitely a different flavour of Fallout. ☢️
Thanks Darth
Can you take off the disguises and put it on anytime you want?
I am so excited for this update. My question is, can you use the glowing one state as a light source in caves and such?
As cool as that sounds, unfortunately not. The glow is visible, but it doesn't really illuminate anything. Other than yourself of course. 😎
@DarthXionGames Aw that's a shame. It's not a huge thing but it would have been cool to see though.
@Nasferatu_Padre it would!
I've started pc playing a few months back, haven't touched the brotherhood quest line, I heard there may be something special if your a ghoul during it.
It'll definitely affect the way you approach it!
Ima start a second character just for the ghoul
i hope they eventually allow you to turn into a super mutant too lol

@@DarthXionGames Well there is Frank Horrigan

Amazing Hair!!!🤯🙏
🤘
I think its awesome Bethesda flys down smaller creators. Ea would never do that
Definitely no flying involved! 😁 But I'm grateful non the less!

Possible Evidence Deacon is a Ghoul🤔
I was contemplating if food buffs worked or not as a ghoul cause that would eliminate crit builds to some extent

Hear me out.... the reason I think this update exists is to show HOW Cooper Howard might become human again in the series!
Maybe but you have to think he's over 200 years old would he survive turning back to human
@Fallout-mw3wk this is very true 🤔 I suppose we'll just have to see how we can turn human again 🤷♂️

Im thinking unlikely because the only reason you can turn back is so you're not forced to play a certain way
Main question...is it canon?
The 20th? That seems early like waaaaaay to early they must be opening this up for all of the ghoul perks and regular perks to be tested ig

I heard the change was supposed to be permanent to ghoul when it happens
@timothyharris1125 semi permanent really. You can revert to human, but only once. If you become a ghoul a second time you'll always be a ghoul.
As someone who spent quite a bit of time designing my character, during beta, i will do this on a secondary character. But regardless how good the ghoul is, i will pass on it with my main toon.
Any way to turn off the constant green glow?

well they better do a super mutant one to can make a orc in Skyrim so lets hope lol
I'm guessing player ghouls can't have facial hair.
imagine all this being a test for next fallout game 🤔😅
That would be epic. I'd guess that it's something you'd have to find on your journey if it were included though. I doubt BGS will deviate from you being a vault dweller.
nice :)
Fouls don’t need pipboys, just regular paper maps.
I think it's b******* you get to play this early
