After a break in the engagement where the enemy pulls back, she has an idea. "22." The dino stopped and looked at her. "I killed 22 in that last wave, pretty good yeah?" The Scar Vet chuckles and slaps his tail on the ground, two big slaps, a pause and 4 smaller slaps. The Stormcast smiles and says "Well, lets see if I can beat you next wave."
Lord Kroak. A frog so powerful that he died and just kinda decided nah, death wasn't for him, and has cast such an enormous spell that reality itself lagged.
Fun fact about Nakai. Literally all demons are afraid to cross bridges because of him. He pulled a Stamford bridge against demons during the war in heaven.
I like to imagine Lord Kroak acts like Yoda in Empire Strikes Back. Just a silly little guy who can just casually move the planet out of orbit with his mind.
Another race that survived the Old Ones purge was the Dragon Ogre. (Not related to either). And the Fimir, but they're now keeping Malal and the Star Child company.

I always found Oxyotl to be a slow start but overall fun campaign. Teleporting all over the map, taking our chaos or greenskins, declaring war on like half of the factions. Keeping an army at home to do the standard Warhammer stuff, while you play skink Xcom. Also you get the "save Teclis," challenge, always fun to do that. "Amid the darkness and horror of a world splintering apart, the armies of the true creators, we who were ancient at the dawn of time, will march forth once more. We shall sweep away all that is Chaos and Disorder, for ours is the true path, and none shall defy us" -Elven Scholar reading from a translation of ancient plagues attributed to Venerable Lord Kroak.
Back in the days of yore, in the long-forgotten age of 2009, I was in the barracks at Camp Lejeune when a friend of mine was painting some funny little pieces of plastic (Orcs) and he told me about Warhammer Fantasy tabletop. He gave me a few army books to peruse... but as soon as I saw the Lizardmen, I knew I had found my Saurian overlords
Genuinely my favorite series on this channel, aside from Beginner to Expert Fantasy episodes. I think this segment would be perfect for exploring some smaller parts of fantasy, like subfactions or lesser known races. I would love an episode dedicated to various regions of the empire for example, there’s a lot of weird and cool lore to be discovered. For example Halflings and their Soup Steam Tank or Dwarfs who live in the empire with a vastly different culture to the Karak Dwarfs.
Loved the lesson on the OG fanatical puritan faction of Warhammer! It also got me wondering… if Gotrek fought Lord Kroak who would be on the receiving end of a “Go-go Gadget murder Goku” in that scenario?
I'm currently at Orcslayer so I've yet to see endgame Gotrek, but I think Kroak would mess Gotrek up pretty badly. Gotrek survives some hardcore shit but it's clear he isn't invincible and can still be injured.
Colin talking about the high elves for 10 hours is something I'm more than happy to sit thourgh. Ok but seriously though, we need a fantasy fireside on the wood elves because their lore is fucking wild. It'll legitimately be one of the best ones to talk about imo.
WOOOO! This has been the best fireside chat yet! I really enjoyed y'all diving more into the lizardmen. I really thought it was interesting how even though they hate chaos, they won't work super well with other factions who also hate chaos and have a "my way or the highway" attitude. I also love how much they just HATE Skaven and Chaos. Like absolutely to a feral degree. Their asthetic is also probably my favorite in fantasy/AOS. I'd like to hear Colin talk more about the Elves actually! I watched his stuff on the Lumineth, but wanna learn more about them. Side note, I love how strong the Slann mages are so crazy strong on average compared to literally any other factions mages. Keep up the great work guys!
I love the Lizardmen because their essentially an entire species of that dog who waited for its owner to come back from war for the rest of its life Except it’s even sadder because the old ones almost certainly didn’t even care about the Lizardmen, but until the world exploded they were desperately searching for the will of the creators who had abandoned them.
And thus the Serpent god spoke to his prophet "drench the pyramid in the blood of the ratmen Tehenuian, and I shall bless you with strengthj, together we shall drive the monggrel rats of pestilence from Lustria!"
You could treat a book following the lizardmen like some sort of xenofiction story. Something tells me gripping dialogue wouldn't be the best for them anyway
Actually quite a few races survived the Lizardmen purge. Dragons and Dragon Ogres being the big ones. Before the Old ones, the Dragons had entire empires and were at war with each other and the Dragon Ogres. Dragon Ogres were already in contact with the Chaos gods. Interesting Stuff.
Nakai started on Albion in Mortal Empires in the second game. In the third, he's chilling on the east coast of Cathay bordering on Ind and Khuresh. Be'lakor now claims Albion in his stead.
Lord Kroak said "Death is cringe" and just willed himself back to life. I wonder how Nagash feels about not being special anymore... Though i guess he had more pressing issue in Endcrimes than to worry about some Slan upstart stealing his magic trick...
The lizardsmen do actually have some personallity, but they fit into archtypes. Kroq-Gar is quite compassionate to Grimloq and is apparently good friends with Tiktaq-To there's another guy called Gor-Rok who has a seemingly different attitude, being more defence based, while Kroq-Gar is like a crusader
If anyone wants the lightning fast recap on most of the Lizardman characters (excluding the Slann , Tik'tak'to and Oxyotyl) I will recommend the video Guardians by Paul1748. It's very much a meet the team moment where they demonstrate Chaos armour is cool but no armour is Kroxigor proof.
A faction I would like you guys to cover would be The Wood Elves. The moment I got Vermintide 2 like last year I mained Kerilian all the way to full level. Got to say I really loved how sassy she was. And know Im curios about her faction.
I like the Lizardmen because they remind me of the Argonians from the Elder Scrolls who also counter invaded a Chaos invasion. Also, South America is severely under-represented in games
"Before Elves, before Dwarfs, before Men, the Old Ones arrived upon this world. Then came Chaos and the Great Plan of the Old Ones was unmade. We are the last of their servants, and only by our hand shall the Great Plan be restored, with the total defeat of the usurping younger races." -- no matter how you look at it the Lizardmen are awesome
My favorite bit is the prologue to Temple of the Serpent where it shows the thought processes of a meditating Slann, and it instantly made me want to read more with them... which didn't particularly exist. Really love that prologue though. As for what I'd like to see, Orcs get all the attention so I'd particularly like to see more about goblins in particular. Particularly AoS, since I'm really interested in da Bad Moon and the spider subfaction, but fantasy as well. Also I have to add, the bit about Mazdamundi suggesting meditating a shorter period immediately made me shout "Radical nonsense; that one's going in the Bok!"

Now see, you give the dwarves shit for hiding underground and leaving everyone else to die, but when Chaos took the world you had ONE group of dwarves that were in the middle of trying to establish a new hold, and they got caught out in the Warp storms fucking up a good chunk of the planet, and they got so horrendously desperate that they accidentally called upon a minor Chaos God named Hashut to save them, which resulted in them becoming the Chaos Dwarves. The dwarves didn't know what the fuck was going on, they probably weren't even aware of the elves or even the Lizardmen at the time, so they battened down the hatches and collapsed parts of the mountains around them for added security, hoping that by the time anything could dig them out or that they had to dig themselves out, everything would blow over or they would be ready enough to at least put up one hell of a fight. Because the dwarves in their heyday were just as effective as the elves, if not moreso.
For a sense of scale, I would assume Teclis and/or Nagash would (in raw power) be roughly equal to a 3rd or 4th generation Slann (if that)? Like, a 1st gen would body ANY spell casters of another race (hence why they are all gone by the time we care) and I don't think any other mage could will a mountain range into existence by themselves.
When I was elementary school I'd get in these heated debates with the lactose intolerant kid about T-rex vs Dragons. At one point the school held a vote and T-rexes won, but then the school had another vote about changing put mascot from a dragon to a T-rex, and unfortunately the rex lost that one, ever since them I've always especially enjoyed dinosaur completely wrecking dragons
I will take this video as a personal reply to my comment, despite all the other ones asking for the same thing. Can't wait to sit down and relax for the next 2-ish hours listening to fantasy
Ah, you mentioned that later, sorry for doubting you Collin. Fun fact Kroq-Gar is still alive in lore, though Grimloq did not survive the end times. Despite the fact that Kroq-Gar's mini has become a generic lord, I keep on hoping that he gets a new mini with a new mount.
I would like the next Fireside Fantasy to be about the High Elves. And the next 40k based one to be on my main man Trazyn the Infinite and his collection of Vtubers
the old ones and their lizardmen armies not being able to get rid off the orcs is pretty stupid. In 40k it makes alot more sense. Because Orcs spread mushroom spores around. SO unless you are willing to go scorched earth You aren't gonna be rid of off them. But that is not the case with the fantasy setting.

What makes the lizardman shouting "BOK!" funnier to me is, that it means "shit" in turkish. Just imagine
Why man things speak-speak about stupid lizard things
I just started my onepagerules Saurian army
You should let my insulin deficient not-friend talk about Halo lore.
COVENANT IN WARHAMMER LET'S GO!!
Are you guys gonna make tier list of space marines chapters?
When I was elementary school I'd get in these heated debates with the lactose intolerant kid about T-rex vs Dragons. At one point the school held a vote and T-rexes won, but then the school had another vote about changing put mascot from a dragon to a T-rex, and unfortunately the rex lost that one, ever since them I've always especially enjoyed dinosaur completely wrecking dragons
Let PancreasNoWork do more halo lore :)
I heard a Dexcom alarm and had to check myself
Seraphon are the "angels" of aos. Hence the name
I will take this video as a personal reply to my comment, despite all the other ones asking for the same thing. Can't wait to sit down and relax for the next 2-ish hours listening to fantasy
Elven civil war would make a great FF
Cold blood bois less gooo 🦎🐍🐊🐢🦖
You dare leave absent those who guide the world unto perfection: froge 🐸
19:19 and 20:54, he finally admits the truth!
Kroq Gar's mount by the way is named Grimloq. Yes, like the Transformer.
YEEEEEEEEEEEES
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
Im just here for all fantasy content
ogre's would be nice, they are one of the more unique factions in warhammer.
Finally gonna talk about the actual best race, eh pancreas?
I think tehenuin and oxyotyls campaigns are very fun, am I crazy? Good video though
the old ones and their lizardmen armies not being able to get rid off the orcs is pretty stupid. In 40k it makes alot more sense. Because Orcs spread mushroom spores around. SO unless you are willing to go scorched earth You aren't gonna be rid of off them. But that is not the case with the fantasy setting.
I skinked myself.
Maybe we can make a video of all the everchosen of chaos.
Nakai's campaign is much better now in TWWH3
Wood Elves next
Gaunts Ghosts
/Cast "Testicular Torsion"
Hell yea
