I see two problems; finger oil all over the voice coil, and he didn't know that the voice coil was supposed to be shimmed during reassembly. Unfortunately that speaker likely won't be lasting too long.
You an idiot. It’s a drop in recoil. Everything is screwed back in place. Dustcap is already glued down you moron. It comes from the manufacturer fully assembled. And touching the voice coil does nothing dumbass.

Anyone who knows anything about engineering knows the damage that the naturally occurring oils on our skin will do to various pieces of equipment. Perhaps you didn’t get the memo. Also, the instructions for the re-cone kits CLEARLY show installing four shims in the motor structure to align the voicecoil. Just in case you are illiterate, they even put together a video showing how to do it. For anyone who thinks this video is the way to go, I would recommend you look up Image Dynamic’s TH-cam channel and see how they are reassembled CORRECTLY before you damage your brand new re-cone kit. If you follow this guy’s lead, you’re very likely to wipe out your brand new voice coils by rubbing them on the motor structure. But hey, what do I know. I only fix shit for a living. Are you still sure that I’m an idiot? I say nay nay!
