I have a large family and we LOVE waffles. A trick I've learned to serve crispy (and hot) waffles to a crowd is to heat up the oven to it's lowest setting. Place the waffles directly on the oven racks to keep them warm and crispy while cooking the rest. That way...everyone gets to eat together! It will also help crisp up any recipe that might be softer.
Great idea! I have a large family too though my kids are grown now. I remember those days of waffles and many pancakes made on a big griddle! I should have done the warming oven because mine had a hard time waiting!
Steve from Serious Keto has a good one. He makes the pumpkin pie filling and then freezes it in single serving sizes for when you make the Chaffle. That way the pumpkin and spices have been melded together better. :)

Yes the lemon bars are to die for! Have to keep in mind that just because its low-carb doesn't mean you can "pig out" lol. Which is very hard for me cause I love sweets and love baking sweets and when you make a cake or pie its soo hard to just have one slice or piece what have you.
I always love your videos, Wesley. What I do when I make things like this in the food processor: get most of the batter out after whizzing, and then put the bowl back on the base and pulse a few more times to sling everything left on the blade to the sides. Then you can easily remove the blade and get almost everything out of the bowl with less hassle.

I just got one of those waffle makers! I absolutely love it!! I place all of my chaffles on a cooling rack. When I put them on the plate they get real soggy.
Boy have I missed you! Coming back with Pumpkin Spice Waffles made my day! To be honest I love chaffles and I had made my own chaffle version using almond flour, Erythritol, pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice and the rest was the same basic chaffle ingredients. It really came out great! I have mixed salmon and tuna with celery , spices and almond flour for chaffle fish cakes too! Last week I made a ham and spinach chaffle quiche. Lol. So much easier than regular recipes, just mix and chaffle it. The possibilities are endless and soooo simple! Both of these look good, but I am sticking with my version! Thank you!
If you run the shredded cheese through a food processor it's hard to tell the cheese in there. I love chaffles and I now mix all the ingredients in a little food processor. It works great and no cheese strings when you bite into them or cut them. Hey, have you seen the keto fries by Heavenly Fan? Supposed to be really good.
I just saw Heavenly Fan's video last week, and was thinking about trying it. It would be great if Wes tried it out - I'd love to see his facial expression when he tastes the recipe! 😋
I made the coconut flour version today and they were tasty! I made up a little "mayochup" and it was a nice treat. They almost remind me of funnel cake dough actually. If you get them crispy enough and dip them in SF ketchup they're pretty convincing!

Hey, Wes. I just made the pumpkin chaffles, with one itsy bitsy addition that I got from The Keto Twins video. When I prepped the dry ingredients I mixed them up and added a 1/2tsp of Xanthan gum. They came out crispy on the outside, but bread/waffle-like in inner texture. Delicious as all get out, and I used them for a sandwich like I've been dieing for for months.

Hello, I love your channel. I did watch a pumpkin pie chaffle recipe that was done by Serious Keto. I have not tried it yet but it is something that you should look at. Steve (Serious Keto) makes a crustless keto pumpkin pie and then uses the pumpkin pie in the chaffle recipe instead of using just canned pumpkin. It is worth a watch.
Pumpkin Pie spice mix...don't have it as I tend to dump gr. cinnamon, gr. nutmeg, gr. cloves & gr. ginger. Heaviest with what I am feeling needful of at moment. Like curry...most every Indian I met, mixs their own blend...family heriage thing. Love waffles! Guess it is more consistent in size and mouth-feel than pancakes.😎
For many many months I did not invest in a mini waffle maker to be truthful because I didn't trust myself around any kind of a baked good! I remember watching your lemon bar video on here and you were mentioning about your lemon bar story as a kid. Well that used to be me with pancakes and waffles! If they were serving them I was ordering them and scarfing them down! I recently made a pumpkin waffle out of devotion sweet potato pie land protein powder, egg whites, sugar-free skinny syrup and a ton of pumpkin spices. I covered it with a tiny Pat of butter and some sugar-free maple syrup. It's actually what I had for dinner a couple times over the last month so so good! These ones look extremely delicious and I always love the idea of a fluffy waffle mine are not so fluffy!
We put in a scoop of pumpkin spice protein powder which right now is the one from Biotrust, 1 oz softened cream cheese, 3 eggs, 1 tbsp heavy whipping cream,1tsp Jordan's skinny syrup pumpkin spice flavored (or sweeten to taste) and a dash of pumpkin spice. These come out with the taste and fell of real waffles with no "eggy" taste.
Make the chaffles ahead of time. They nuke nicely in the microwave. I batch cook mine all the time and put them in the freezer (wrap with paper towels to prevent moisture problems) and put them in the frig, reheat in the microwave, marvelous.

I put them on a paper towel on the plate which absorbs the steam and I don’t need to wash anything. Not quite as good as a rack, but a fair trade!

I remember watching your lemon bar video on here and you were mentioning about your lemon bar story as a kid. Well that used to be me with pancakes and waffles! If they were serving them I was ordering them and scarfing them down! I recently made a pumpkin waffle out of devotion sweet potato pie land protein powder, egg whites, sugar-free skinny syrup and a ton of pumpkin spices. I covered it with a tiny Pat of butter and some sugar-free maple syrup. It's actually what I had for dinner a couple times over the last month so so good! These ones look extremely delicious and I always love the idea of a fluffy waffle mine are not so fluffy!
We put in a scoop of pumpkin spice protein powder which right now is the one from Biotrust, 1 oz softened cream cheese, 3 eggs, 1 tbsp heavy whipping cream,1tsp Jordan's skinny syrup pumpkin spice flavored (or sweeten to taste) and a dash of pumpkin spice. These come out with the taste and fell of real waffles with no "eggy" taste.

Make the chaffles ahead of time. They nuke nicely in the microwave. I batch cook mine all the time and put them in the freezer (wrap with paper towels to prevent moisture problems) and put them in the frig, reheat in the microwave, marvelous.
