I bet it felt great to have that antenna working again. Every cruiser I have owned has come with a broken antenna and it's always first on my list of things to fix.
Great video. Replaced the antenna on my LX today. One correction though and it took me almost a good amount of time to realise this as I was following your steps. The teeth of the antenna should be facing the front on the car. The antenna gets sucked right in the first try!
Mine makes this noise makes me feel like I’ve my head in the blender especially when I come home late neighbors must be annoyed with me. Need to fix it. Ironically I fix at least couple cars a day for others as a mechanic
People tell me that if there job is one thing and they need that same service done, it's hard for them to want to do it. I guess if you do it all day it's not as fun for yourself. I get that.
I bought the antenna off Amazon. They had a lot of them from different manufacturers. The one I bought was: MTC 86337-60151 Antenna Mast Toyota Land Cruiser 1998-2007 9099. It was cheap and has worked well since installation. Hope that helps. Thanks!

100%. A little concerned initially if it would actually work or not, but very happy I have that OEM look and usability.
@@TheNonnell Always nice being able to keep it original toyota!

Thanks! I’m glad the video was helpful. It was one of the easier jobs I’ve done on the Lexus.
Need to do this to my LX. Thanks for the video!
You’re welcome. Not a bad job at all.
