      I usually do whatever. My sketchbook are really just continuations of each other.
      In the first page I’ll study diver suits, draw a creature, eyes, the Tower of Babel, a girl etc.
      It’s easier if you just think of it as a continuation.
      In the next one “my biggest one ever” I plan to do studies of divers, gas masks and flowers.

    It's really nice to see a sketchbook that doesn't only consist of perfected artwork and that has doodles and writing and unfinished drawings and different experiments! I really appreciate you sharing your sketchbook, definitely subscribing ❤❤

    • @raiivenwastaken
      @raiivenwastaken 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Julia R That's really true. Before I believed that my sketchbook had to only have finished drawings and I left a lot of empty space with only one drawing a page (kinda dumb to be honest), that kinda formed from seeing sketchbooks with only beautiful, finished drawings. Now I'm breaking out of that and videos like these help me with it.

    • @zellafae
      @zellafae 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If I have the mindset that my sketchbooks has to be perfect I end up stressed and don't draw. So I'm trying to remind my self that it's ok to make mistakes and the point of a sketchbook is to practice and experiment.

    I totally relate to being scared of inking a nice pencil sketch! I don't have a scanner/printer so I don't ink as much as I'd like to. Trying to just do it more so I get better at it.

    • @tarabooartarmy3654
      @tarabooartarmy3654 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sometimes I’ll sketch something, then take a pic with my phone or iPad, and then use my iPad screen or computer screen as a light box to trace it so I have a backup to ink, leaving the original untouched. It would be easier if I just had a light box to trace the original, but I don’t yet.

      It's this interesting thing where your 'taste' and eye for what's good and what's less good changes with practice and experience.
      About a year ago I would look up to a few artists thinking thet were amazing and the best artists ever. Now, after a year of practicing for hours every day and being exposed to more art, those artists aren't that special to me anymore. But now I have a huge list of artists whose art I absolutely love, which I think is the best. I wonder how many of them will still be on that list in five years, and how many will disappear

    The video wasn't even starting but I smashed the subscribe button cause. MINE EYES MADE HEARTS. IMMEDIATELY. AND SKETCHES. IN A SKETCHBOOK. ACTUAL SKETCHES. Other artists usually show a "sketchbook" that's more of an artbook, full of complete pieces... I love those too but for me it's more motivating for artists who are starting out to see the raw and rough stuff. Oh and oh my god I love your hands??? They say that artists have nice hands but yours really rank up there 💜

    Nice sketchbook, Thank You for showing it to us~
    Also when I sketch I try to sketch with ink, maybe that would make inking sketches easier to do?
    I mean to sketch with ink. Anyway, this is a very nice sketchbook!

    13:18 Same, I've been told I'm good at drawing- but when I'm around people... Woah, my art really goes downhill because of nerves. :'c

    I really loved your sketchbook tour!
    One thing for future videos though (which you are maybe already doing) - please move the book a bit less... I got a bit motion sick and it was difficult to focus on the pages.
    But I love your art and the anatomy and shapes you use .w. it was very inspirational!

    Since I’ve done a lot of mural work since I was a kid, so my drawings and art in general fit in the motto “Go Big Or Go Home.” But now storing my life-sized artwork has become a pain. 😂
    My sketches however vary from the size a of a dime to filling the entirety of a 9” x 12” page or 11” x 14” page.
