A little background information before the "Where is the Airbus video?!?!" comments start to appear - I did not edit the video in my studio, I am not even at home. I'm sure lot of you expected to see the review of the Airbus before this one, I'm sorry but you'll need to wait a bit more.
Some circumstances are way beyond me, we've been working really hard in the past weeks to bring you all these reviews on time, but unexpected things happen sometimes and family is always a priority. All I ask is to keep your frustration level in the comment section low and be patient, the detailed building review of the Airbus and the Material Handler will also come in a timely manner. Thank you.
honestly i think that you are overworking yourself... but still, thanks balazs
No problem bro, keep 'em review coming ☺️... we'll be patient nonetheless 👍🏼, take care of yourself and family first 🙏🏼...nice to see the castle reference in this set, with arches and axes 😁
Hey @RacingBrick, I was wondering which you would recommend, the BTTF Delorean or this Camaro. I’m going to purchase one soon but I’m not so sure on which to get.
@@EMoney763 Since DMC and Camero have the same price currently but the DMC is rumored to increase to 200 € rrp i would tend to snatch up one of the first DMCs with a decent rebate in the next couple weeks. Also the DMC has more parts, two Minifigs and a well known movie franchise on top of being an iconic car.
@@RoadRageRod Okay thanks. It’s actually difficult to find a Delorean at my local Lego Store and everything online is either sold out or unreasonably priced.
The number 5 was supposed to represent a coin stored in the pocket change compartment
That is what I was thinking as well
Could also signify the 5 different generations of camaro's, of the no.5 camaro in nascar
@@The_Real_JN I don’t think they’d represent chase Elliot, I don’t want to get into details but he said something very racist at one point and lego would’ve chosen a different nascar driver, I hope for legos sake there is no correlation to Elliot
I was thinking exactly same
@@ericoberle9794 You mean Kyle Larson
Fits the description
Drives the Five car and said something that nobody should ever say
Almost quit being a fan of him
2:27 back in 1969 when this car came out, people used disc-shaped pieces of metal as currency. This printed element is probably a reference to a so-called "nickel", a coin which had about the same purchasing power in 1969 as $0.40 today.
Lol I was thinking about so many things but as simple as a coin...🤣
A coin... So something people got by doing something with graphics cards?
Lol
why did you describe that as an object from 2000 BC
lmao@@randomamericansoldier8586
This is why I love RacingBrick. Even though he gets free sets from Lego, he's not afraid to criticise or make complaints. When I saw Bricksie's preview of it, he was saying the black on black box looked sleek and amazing. Even if you like the 18+ boxes, there is no way this particular set looks good with a black background
Yeah I think the black boxes shouldn't be all of the time. I mean the 90th anniversary sets are 18+ and they look great as non-black boxes
@@bricktopian Agreed. Some sets like Lego Art, Botanical collection, etc look great but sets like the old Roller Coaster or the Mustang look way better with actual box art than the newer 18+ sets in those series with just a dull black void
Though I respect Bricksie 🙏🏼, he does get excited and hyped up over everything 😟, he doesn't get critical much and that causes doubt in every lego fan of whether they should go in for the set or not 😞
@@joevictor53 yeah bricksie only states the positives a lot of the time, never really a properly detailed review
@@The_Real_JN yeah
the tile with a 5 probably represents a spare coin
I feel like Scrooge McDuck's lucky dime piece would've been better
Some JDM icons would be a perfect addition. Maybe an NSX, MX-5, or even an EK9 Civic Type-R. I know several off-brand knock-off companies that do similarly scaled ones, so I would love to see LEGO try.
S30Z
Ain't It weird how they have never
@@DomhnallMolloyI can count the amount of sets based on Japanese cars on one hand lmao
In my opinion, Camaro and Mustang are the two best cars Lego ever produced. I just like them better than any other Lego cars.
Are you counting technic as well?
@@Bowl849 for my old eyes, technics do not look like cars but legos.
@ k
It's an excellent set for sure. I will probably pick it up in the future since it would look pretty nice next to my 911. The only downside is that they decided to give us stickers instead of the printed pieces like on the Porsche.
Learn little boys, now that's how a pro builder easily and swiftly opens another precious BIG box 0:56
The set is a must buy for advanced users. What an amazing set. Excellent. Even that Model Team Magazine detail... wow !
Thanks for another great review.
I'm still beyond excited for the release of this kit! I wish Lego would attempt the 5th gen Camaro in the iconic rally yellow color partly because that's the exact car I drive lol
Getting this set day 1 because not only will it look good next to the LEGO Mustang but I drive a 5th gen too, and in black, the same color as the set 😁
The thing is, the 69 Z/28 never had a convertible option, the other versions of the 69 did however. In research I did find that a 68 Z/28 was made with a convertible top, of which there’s only ONE made for special order via COPO. The body style is similar enough so other badges could have been included for accuracy. Also the hideaway headlights were only on the Rally Sport version of the Z/28, so it would have been nice to get the proper Rally Sport side plates to match as well. Other than that I’m glad they went for Tuxedo Black! It’s not that bad of a model.
5:36 that one textured brick being the wrong way around is driving me nuts! :D
Corrected afterwards :)
Man Creator Expert cars are killing it in looks just like Speed Champions. This set looks great!
Great review from Racing Brick, as usual. Like his attention to detail, especially to working components. And both pros and cons. Miss the protection on the windscreen...was hoping the Delorean one was the start of a good trend...guess not. Was always thinking it was a bit off in earlier pictures but then realized it was missing the "gills".
Airbus? In good time...and looking forward to your review. We all have other commitments and it's not always about being the first out there as long as it is a good trusted review from a great LEGO reviewer.
Exactly, why use windscreen protection in one set, but not the other? It's the same theme and same price level. Lego sometimes makes no sense.
I still would prefer it to be some other colour, maybe red with black stripes. That being said, it looks very cool especially as a convertible with that interior.
Hopefully I'll find a way to acquire one...
Agreed, if they wanted to build a black muscle car it should’ve been a Charger, Camaros look better in flashy colors. I’m crossing my fingers that someday those fender pieces will be available in red.
@@Thinginator Black is indeed better suited to a Charger or Challenger. A Camaro should be bumblebee yellow in my opinion
Excellent RacingBrick review of the lego 10304 and you are right about the defect of the steering and the price that has increased
You are right that the family always comes first and calmly we will see your review of the lego 42144 and 42145
You deserve a very long break after showing us the reviews of the lego 10304,10305 and the wonderful 10497 😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😎😎😎😎😎😎
This means that the cowl tag would have shown "50-50" and the window sticker, as shown in the Exterior Paint RPO Codes Table, would have had "5911CC DOVER WHITE" printed on it (where the initial "5" is the Chevrolet prefix indicating Camaro).
love the red seats with the black exterior
The '5' piece is probably a coin laying in the storage compartment
it looks really good as a convertible. Damn. Shopping list was looking quiet for the rest of the year, now I need this, the speed champions DB5, and 2x Galaxy explorer..
My Favorites it's Lego Creator Expert 2022 18+ 10304 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Set
Can’t wait to get this, man I love camaros
Amazing and fantastically realistic!😍🤩
Great toy and awesome display model))
Greetings from Ukraine 👋💙💛
WOOOOO NEXT DAY UPLOAD BABY!!!!! IM JUICED
I plan on buying this set as soon as possible! I may try to recreate one in red!
I enjoy your detailed and knowledgeable reviews. I like this and will get one.
I'm not a fan of cars or black (looks always a bit dull for me on lego sets), but I think the limited door angle did not get enough attention :D. It was one of the bigger points in most critics of other cars and I think the solution works realy well.
First of, yet another fantastic video, keep up the great work. Secondly, this is a great addition to their Creator series. I have the perfect place for it in my collection
If lego decides to have this set be available in multiple colours I hope there is a yellow and black version (yellow main black stripes) like bumblebee
I own the Mustang and i love it. I want the camaro to race it and be kinda like twins or somethin like that. I really like the design of both
This looks really smooth and nice. I love it. Way better design than the Dodge. The rear especially beautiful
Another great review and build. As always your honest opinion and thoughts are always appreciated. I will be getting one, (chevy fan) I think it complements the mustang very nice.
We need a 57 chevy with coupe or convertible body like this one and a continintal kit.
the 10265 mustang is still my favourite creator expert/18+ vehicle, but this is a very close 2nd
I would love to get this thing. It is great that they finally came up with a solution for frong wheel wells. However, at this price point I just simply cannot justify getting it.
Gotta get a Mopar set next!!! I would kill for an icons 71 Cuda or 70 Challenger! And its gotta be in a bright colour, Plum Crazy, Sassy Grass...
The printed 5 circular tile with 5 is for that the 69 Camaro had a five speed transmission
I hope they make a 1970 Chevelle! Otherwise, awesome set and review!
Awesome video 👍😎
Did anyone else not like the way the Z/28 sticker looked on the grille and cut sections of it off to make it blend in better, or was it just me?
Planning to exchange every black brick to red if possible, red with white stripes and the rims from the mustang - those rims would look much better imo
The fender pieces are new and only available in black so that'll be a challene
@@RacingBrick damn, might have to wait a little longer!
i hate that it’s so similar to the mustang, mainly because of the lack of body curve on the sides. if you aren’t a car guy, the mustang is a better buy, because it has better features and a lot cleaner of a look. The camaro had so much potential and i think lego missed on this one. Still going to buy it though!😂
now we just need a charger and challenger at this scale
Chargers (I love it) is already presented in this scale, as Technic model. I doubt they will dare to build one more, the 10th or even 11th Charger again... But Challenger is welcomed always!
I'm currently building this. I wish Lego wouldd design cars so there is more of a brick overlap design as if your not careful half the front breaks away.
Damn, you said you'd release the video soon but damn
I'm fairly confident the #5 is just a lost nickel in the cabin
Black for the car body is a major fingerprint magnet. As others have noted, perhaps they could have copied the red with black stripes (or white, or grey) as per the photo image on the back of the box.
pretty nice set, if somebody makes a mod that changes it to look like it's platform sharing sister the Firebird then I might pick it up
A lot of ‘off colour’ bricks used in the structure as is the norm these days. Most of it does appear to get covered up, but just wondering how much you can still see under the arches and bonnet, in the interior crevices etc? Apparently it was a real problem on the BTTF Delorean set.
The number 5 is representative of the centre console ash tray(money)
this looks like the same car jesse had at the beginning of the Breaking Bad movie El camino
So, we got a chevy, and a ford, im hoping the next icon model is a 1970 Dodge Challenger (my dream car) also it would be really cool to get some Hemi printed tiles.
Ohh, in its crazy violet color? Me too, man, me too!
Great review as always. Definitely going to have to pick up this set, just wish it came in a flashy color like yellow or orange.
I would love to see what it looks like with the wheels from the mustang/911. Maybe they could've included them as an extra accessory
You'll need extra tires and the 2nd set of wheels from the 911 for that, I feel like it'd look amazing
@@Danse_Macabre_125 oh yeah I didn't even realise that this set uses the narrower tyres, I wonder if the wider tyres would actually fit. I agree it would look great though, and given the price of the set, a couple extra accessories wouldn't hurt. Still a great looking set though
@@matteocristini6221 I'm getting mine on Christmas, can't say if it'll fit or not for a long time. I think it will but I'm just eyeballing it.
the 5 is a spare coin... similar reason to the magazine on the back
The 5 is supposed to represent a nickel
2:28 not a Camaro fan but I think that it might be representing a 5 cent coin.
A cool thing they could do is that you could choose if you want steering wheel steering or if you want hand of god steering!
Nice review
all jokes aside that was a really good editing job and it confused me for a good while
i like the colours. it's a murdered-out gangster camaro. outlaw americana for 'adults'. frankly, i'm miffed they haven't thrown a pack of luckys in the box. ;-)
only nit pick i have about the car is that they choose black for the main color it hides a lot of details i think and a more colorful option would have been better like the orange of the real car in the instruction book
Not the first time Lego has done black on black on a box design (89 Batmobile) but no less dumb. That aside nicely detailed review. Doesn't look like any new techniques or special tricks building the car, but given Lego already much nailed it with the Mustang, and Porsche 911 it's about as expected. Really strange for Lego not to gear the steering for the car but other than that and the feeling the dice needed numbered printing on those 1X2s to properly represent them no real complaints. Like how similarly it scales to the Mustang making a perfect shelf mate.
I am so getting this
But I totally agree with you that this car is better than some rare super car. We need more muscle cars
Damn looks like ima have to cop
Strange that they would choose to print the optional headlights that may not even get used instead of something crucial like the Camaro badges.
It would be awesome to have the 1970 yellow with black stripes, like in Transformers !!!!
I’d like to buy this set, but I don’t care about the Camero enough to spend $150. I do think the up coming Hulk buster will be cool, will look super cool next to the Tumbler
it's $170 US
Great video
I don’t mind the black on black on the box. I’d rather have the car obscured by the matching colour of it and the box than have another mostly white LEGO set which will no doubt yellow over the years 🤷 And I’m really glad it comes with a convertible as the alternative build. I hated the alternative build on the Mustang it just looked silly so it took some careful building to turn it into a convertible, which I actually think looks better than the base design
Very nice review (as usual !). I see that Lego use a lot of unusual connection now, with clips, pins, bracket etc for instance for the front part to connecte to the chassis. From your review experience, do you know when was the turn about it for the designer ? From designing chassis basically with only plate and now with multi assemble upside down connection etc.
Creator Expert cars had more and more of this approach in the recent years already, I don't think there was an exact turning point, more like an evolution.
@@RacingBrick Thanks for the answer !
bro can we get a video on the 42070? I'd like to either give it more speed or another motor but idk how to
i wanna see some jdm cars like a r34 or rx-7 :)
After LEGO 10265 Ford Mustang I'm thinking that this is a lazy version of it. Ford Mustang was my first set that I've assembled (now my collection contains 10 lego car sets) and it was awesome! (to the point where I re-did it at least 10 times). I 'm not hating the set, don't get me wrong I will definitely buy it after DeLorean, but I would expect a bit more from Lego about it.
Awesome set. Need it to go with the mustang
the color is cool, but yellow is way more classic
2:39 the 5 represents a c coin
I'm definitely picking this up. There is only one other one I whis I knew about before I got in to buying these and that's the f40. I'd love to buy one but can't justify paying what people want for it.
Great review. Would you also make a detailed comparison of the Camaro with the Porsche 911 and Ford Mustang? All three look nice and wonder how they compare with each other.
In my opinion this set could sell a lot better if it was yelow with black stripes
The mustang had better building techniques for the doors, more detail for even the stock motor design, with moving parts to adjust the stance, and cost less
Is it possible to offset the headlights outwards to make it look more like the 68 Camaro
curious if you can possibly swap the white/grey/red stripes for all black parts and show us how that looks?
Am a little disappointed they went with the main body colour being black, especially in the same year as the technic bat mobile. My black car shelf is full. Guess I’ll be going red stripes. Got my hopes up for red to sit along side the mustang lol.
I hope they make a Corvette
Someone needs to mod/moc this into The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts bumblebee and alter the Optimus Prime from earlier in the year as they would look great together my reason for buying one.
It looks really good, I love the fact that it includes the other decals/colour options and the 2in1 thing they did for the Porsche. The cars body has nice curves and great profile the rear looks like a fun assembly could say that for the entire build only concern that it will be similar to the Mustang as that was muscle car to and LEGO have been prone to use near identical builds across sets looking at the Daytona's gear box copying the Sian's.
I prefer the creator expert/icons cars to the technic stuff as the scale is great and prices are within my budget plus they're easier to modify I hope they do more, I'm leaning towards some licensed vehicles but seeing how Speed Champions is moving towards that we should be seeing more often.
We got the mustang and Camaro, now will we get a wrx and evo?
I needed help how to do page 57 I'm still stuck on it
You are right to question why they put a Camaro front end on a Charger body
I dislike the flat clamshell box. Wish they would stick to either the slip fold clamshell or the letterbox with tape seal. I cant keep the clamshell boxes. But I can fold and keep the letterbox ones.
Ever think they’ll make a creator expert Dodge? Like Challenger/Dart/Coronet/Charger etc. By Charger I don’t mean Fast & Furious i mean just a normal Dodge Charger. I personally would really love a Challenger
is it worth buying tho?
Could you make a comparison between the Camaro, and the Mustang?
The little five is most likely representing a coin.
Number 5 is probably money
And the mess comes back - Porsche 10295 had no stickers at all - now we have tons of stickers again
Don't know why would it be better e.g. to have printed license plates? Does it add that much to the set? Yeah some of the badges could have been smoother with prints, but I don't really get all that hate towards stickers. Mustang had prints for the side stripes, and they were messed up, another potential problem :D Stickers can look ugly after years that's true, but prints can also get scratched off easily, so none of them is an ultimate solution.
@@RacingBrick Maybe my comment wasn't enough clear :) Personally I don't like stickers, but it's my problem. I wanted to say that there is no logic - very similar sets have different approach and you never know what to expect )
@@kirtechnic I guess it depends on many factors. As far as I know there's a quota for specialized parts in a given batch, possibly not even limited to a single theme. If there's enough capacity to have unique printed parts and the theme justifies it, then there might be prints. If lots of prints were made for other sets already and they had priority, then others might end up with mostly stickers.
Didn't the Ecto 1 use a similar wheel cover construction in the engine compartment?
No. I just checked mine and it uses 1 big piece on either side that rounds off to 1 stud on 1 end of each part. This uses 2 separate pieces side by side on both sides.
I really want to buy it but i dont have space on shell 😢
Hi racingbrick i wanna add another car to my collection its either gonna be this or the T2 camper van wich one should i choose and wich one wpuld look better With the ones i already have build wich are : the pick up truck 90 defender and fiat 500
I would choose this, the T2 Camper Van has some structural difficulties
It’s cool, but I would have liked to have a yellow with black stripes Camaro. Black color is a bit boring
