Legend of the game, probably the most recognisable player on the course, a real character so exciting to watch. Two majors, a Players Championship, 91 Pro Wins, 20 PGA Tour wins, 331 weeks World No.1, World Golf HoF - 100% definitely an all time great!

Met the man. Very professional and a true gentleman. I watched him hit a dead straight drive to a fairway the size of a toothpick. He hit a persimmon wood with a Tour Edition ball and it sounded like thunder.

Jon Bristow Imagine a young Norman with today’s modern equipment, he’d be right up there with Rory and a young Tiger.

Now the great white shark is putting the fear into the PGA Tour with his LIV golf venture, making some big moves

That’s the one thing most people DON’T like about him.
Other than that, he’s a great guy and one of the best golfers of all time.

a proper athlete before tiger came along - the guy could play any sport. Probably the most naturally talented golfer to ever play - we all know that doesnt always cut it though

This is not very balanced. Norman didn't have the 1986 USPGA snatched from his grasp. He shot 76 in the final round. Just an idea of how well he played in the Open though, his 63 in poor conditions at Turnberry was about the worst it could have been - he had a makable putt for a 61 from 25 feet. As for the 1993 Open, Faldo had a one shot lead and shot a 67 but wasn't even close. Even with a careless 2 foot missed putt on the 17th, Norman still won by 2 shots

Fair comment about the 86 USPGA he did open the door for Tway down the stretch. The 93 USPGA though he hit a great putt on 18 that just wouldn't go.... he also hit a great putt on the final hole at the 87 masters.... alas it wasn't to be.
The 96 masters was the worst possible meeting of circumstances, a tournament he wanted too badly and probably should have won at least once before then, and an opponent who had inflicted mental scars on Norman at previous majors. If someone other than Faldo had been in the final group that day then maybe.... maybe.... Greg could have kept it together a bit better and snuck home. I would venture that no one has played better at Augusta without winning.
Two majors would be a great career for most players but for a man of Norman's talents it seems like he came up short.... and he probably did.

Your forgetting his original coach Charlie Earp. That guy put Norman on the map and produced the star he was!!!

Yes he got tight in some big moments, as talented as he was he is also human. He was still the most exciting player of his generation (ok Seve was pretty exciting too) and one of the most exciting players to watch ever.

Another who has to say something nasty. Suppose you were a gun golfer. Over 300 weeks at number 1 were you. Greg Norman was a great golfer.
