- Known for his bold and aggressive playing style, Greg Norman graced the course at Royal St George for The 122nd Open Championship in 1993.
Seven years after his maiden major victory at the 1986 Open Championship, The Shark lifted the Claret Jug for the second time, beating home favourite Sir Nick Faldo by two strokes. Shooting a 64 in the championship round to secure a historic win.
Here’s every shot, from his final round.

As much as people remember his losses and unlucky breaks at majors more than his wins no one should forget his successes and the fact that he won 90 tournaments in his career. Number 1 in the world for 331 weeks, second only to tiger, the Shark is a legend.
That's the insane stat. Over 6 years of being on top.
This man was consistently on the leader boards all through his career. A true legend
He was unlucky that's for sure. This was one of the majors that he played well at and didnt lose out to a fluke shot.
2 freak chip ins and the rest he just wasn’t good enough. Maybe 86 Jack and Faldo 96 were the only real “chokes”
1986 PGA he shot a 76 in the final round to lose by 2. Id say that’s a choke as well.
Hit every fairway. What a legend.
What a class player.
Whilst I was never a fan of that short flat swing Butch Harman gave him from ‘93 to ‘96, this was an immaculate performance and a superb victory.
As he himself said: “I was in awe of myself out there today”.
Sweetest swing ever!
What a round. Practically flawless. And on those bumpy fairways of the classic Links course where Lady Luck plays a part. His 64 at Troon was awesome too.
One of the few times it all came together for Norman on a Sunday. If he'd played this way for the bulk of his career he would've won 10+ majors.
Not only a champion golf legend but also an excellent maker of fine wines.
Wow 30 years ago!.. remember it like it was last year
One putt away from a flawless round. Still a tournament record at the time!
Absolute class player and Aussie icon , this is why I took up golf 🏌️♀️ because of this man 👍⛳️
Fearless golf
I saw him in 86 turnberry win
Cold super windy rainy etc and Greg was driving the ball up in the sky when everyone kept it low. Nothing was affecting him
Scottie Scheffler looks pretty similar with how he drags the trail foot through impact
Wonderful golfer
The Great White Shark!
This has starring Owen Wilson all over it
Notice how he swings down the line back and through and literally whips the club shaft on his back for his longer clubs. Want to hit the ball straight????..This is how you do it !
So you're not going to release the final round then?
Just type in Norman wins the open you get the full highlights of the 4 days
@@kevinmcnicoll8649 I've had that on video for 20 years. But, the full final round would be a great watch.
And then you disinvite him from the champion’s dinner in 2022 for STARTING HIS OWN GOLF LEAGUE. Shame on you, R&A.
"Every shot"
Second hole....NO TEE SHOT?
Not every shot 🤷♂️
I wonder if he got any women like Tiger.
