    Sadly, this is one of the best rates you'll find. SS and Fed taxes will always be about 20%.

    Ironically the states that tax you the least, often cost the least to live in and $100,000 in Wyoming would go much further than 150,000 in California

I would give anything to find a decent job in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, or Alaska (in that order) but unfortunately there is not that great a need for Ph.D. organic chemists there 😞

If I was a new resident in my appartment, I would be paying closer to 45k a year. And that’s just not a tenable situation.

    In India for a comparable salary of INR 8 million, taxes is INR 2,445,300. That's a tax rate of more than 30%. With no benefits of social Security Or health benefits. Not sure whether it is justified. But taking into account PPP this USD 100,000 is equivalent to 300,000 USD.

    That’s the same amount of tax for every state before any State Income tax. A person could pump their 401k pre-tax to lessen that $14,768 Fed Tax burden. I make almost $100k, but I pump my 401k. My annual Fed Tax liability is about $9500.

    The chances of anyone making 100k having Medicaid is about 0% - If you’re claiming the money and having taxes taken out it means the state would not clear you for Medicaid benefits. This is the same for every state this guy is doing, it doesn’t make any sense. Health insurance cost far more than that in the United States, especially if you’re claiming 100k.

    No. Just as you did with Texas you're leaving out the State Sales Tax. It's a consumption tax at the point of sale in place of the normal state income tax.

    If a family father earns that and his wife maybe works part time and they have 2 or 3 children.
    Can they have a normal life without having to look after every penny?

    The 7% stock return IS after inflation 🙄 maybe not taxes, but your savings can be in Roth IRA and Roth 401k to avoid taxes all together. What stock is only growing 7% for a 30yr period ignoring inflation and taxes?
    1.38m of today’s money is a 55k/yr retirement. Not to mention SS will help supplement it.

    Whatever you do don’t come to Arkansas especially not NWA. I grew up here and taxes is crazy. Income tax is 4.7 and in Benton county sales tax is 9.5.

    It would not be such a bad deal to live in the states with a higher tax bracket if the cost of living was lower but in addition to taking more of your paycheck all of the goods cost more as well so when someone brags about how much money they made when they lived in Boston or San Francisco I'm usually not impressed

      @@LordOfLight That is still half the population of some major cities alone. So when you have a state with such a low population, there is not much income from that population. And with not much production or other industry other than ag an tourism, there is a lot of state with not much income to support that state. Basically a huge warehouse with noone renting or using it except a guy using the office to get out of the house for the day. You gotta put more money into it to keep it running than you get from owning it.

    What about sales tax, state tax & home property taxes if they have any. With the 3 other taxes mentioned above, plus hidden taxes. Many Americans in many states are paying close to half their income in taxes. But in countries like Australia. You get free medical & education for paying about the in taxes. Americans are getting screwed.

    Never knew how much taxes people pay until I hit 6 figures. I remember complaining about taxes when I was making 24000 a year. America is one big tax farm.

    Wyoming at 78% net is a huge difference from California at only about 50% net. Even a big gap on federal taxes which I thought would be the same in all states. Can you do a video on why?

      Federal tax rates increase as income increases. At 100k its 14%, 900k 35%.
      Given the same income amount, the Fed tax is the same.

    This is so misleading lol. Wyoming is the tax-friendliest state in the nation. No income tax whatsoever.

      We have no state income tax, and most cities/counties in Wyoming have low property taxes, vehicle registrations, sales tax, etc.

    There is also a local income tax, the rate depends on what county you are in.
