- We stayed here at Carolina Beach, NC (activecaptain....) on our boat Mahalo. After a long day northbound we found this tranquil, relaxing, and protected anchorage. Holding was good and the strong wind kept the insects away. Will stay here again for sure. Enjoy this aerial video of the anchorage from the Mahalo Crew

We started our Great Loop Journey in Ft Myers in June of 2021 on our 1998 Carver 500 called "Mahalo".
But then we had to wait for the COVID to pass and Canada to open fully to continue. This is the continuation of our Loop which started in July of 2023.

I grew up just north of Carolina Beach in Wrightsville Beach, NC. We would go to Carolina Beach to go to the small amusement park that was there.
