Impression of placing a Maibaum
Every year the ‘young men’ go into the forest to find a suitable tree to serve as a ‘maypole’. It is said to be 35 metres long! To erect it, a crane was needed and a chainsaw to ensure that the trunk fits in the trestle.
It is quite a celebration with performances, a funfair and conviviality.
This is undoubtedly also a way to set up an antenna mast :-)
