    And J. Valentine ...you don’t have to be always right. Let the guests speak their experience and truth. This is an informative podcast; you want all experiences, facts, and perspectives to be heard. Still, ultimately, it is about your guests and their process of educating people who want to get into this business. Perspective can be debatable, but rules are not. There are always "unwritten rules," but he explained the actual rules with permissions allowed, and he would know. Always remember your position and the goals of this podcast. This will also enable other guests to feel comfortable coming on and explaining their journey. Much respect to this podcast.

    • @Bbz384
      @Bbz384 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Agreed. I didn’t like this part of the conversation. J. Valentine needs to let the guest speak. And let them talk about their perspective of the business. Also, it’s like dude were you there. Lol

    My appreciation for this show just grew exponentially. And it’s because of guests like BAM. His breakdown of Right Here remix was noteworthy, not to be messy, but to underline how people who lack cache fall through the cracks. I say this as a huge Teddy fan, I’m glad to know the names of the others responsible for that record. And for what it’s worth, the original was dope when I heard it years later. I was so confused why it never reached anyone.

    Before I tune into the R&B Money podcast, I listen to music from various genres and generations while walking on my treadmill. Today, before your show, my ears and soul were graced by Al Green's melodic inquiry, "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?" My Lord!!!
    During Brian Alexander Morgan's interview, I began to understand, more specifically, the dynamics of lyrical and instrumental placement. This is why the violinist and organist accompaniment in How Can You Mend take Al's vocals to another level. Props to phenomenal songwriters like Tank, J Valentine, Alexander, and even the Bee Gees, who wrote How Can You Mend.
    Finally, I love the information you two gifted, beautiful, brilliant brothers and your guests share with the community--it's worth R&B Money!!! Because I come from a music-oriented family, watching your podcast is like going home. Thank$

    Love how Brian brought everything back around and connected it. Such a great testament to how sometimes it’s not your time, but what is meant for you will come. Also, shout out Martha Wash, definitely doesn’t get enough credit.

    Grateful for this J and Tank!!!
    Martha Wash is known for ballads by true appreciators. The I (Who Have Nothing) remake with Luther in the 90s.....simply fire!!!
    It's a small world when all these producers, singers and collaborators keep intersecting between eras. Kudos to BAM still being talked about and sought after👏👏👏👏👏

    Thank you R&B money for allowing tremendous talents like Brian to convey their stories in a space of appreciation!!

    Once again the influence of Twinkie Clark. My mouth dropped that he produced Martha Wash’s solo album. Commissioned fan🔥🔥. One of the best vocalists ever and a favorite album of mine. He’s a Gwen Guthrie fan (google her). Lalah’s first album is still top tier and the fact that he had a cut on that and I’m only half way through. This interview is epic

    I’ve been WAITING for this Ep! SWV is my FAVE GROUP ever (male/female it makes no diff). And “It’s About Time” started it ALL for me…so hearing the background of this GENIUS was fantastic! He dropped SO many gems (I’m listening to Tramaine Hawkins, Martha Wash AND the Gap Band song he mentioned). But his “I ain’t sayin’ no names” start was HILARIOUS! “OKAY, so I was on the set of MISSY ELLIOT’s “I Can’t Stand the Rain” video…” LOLOL 😂
