I did this mod on my pathy. I bought freewheeling hubs off a D22 Navara. I used a screwdriver in the rotor to stop it turning. Used 2existing nuts on studs and locked them together with spanners. Used WD 40 to help unsieze them. Then used a impact drill and socket over both nuts and removed studs pretty easily.
I purchased a set of SKP locking hubs for the Xterra first gen, and did not work well. After several replacements I removed them for rubbing and grinding noise. No help from SKP, Note please buy quality parts
Hi hope fully if you use check nut technique it was much easier as handy for you .crip blood is not recommended to use on boards otherwise you'll destroy the threats although you're not using it again but always use a check nut technique or a tool you can use it. Anyway nice try
I changed my frontier from automatic to locking hubs and it makes them kind of noise going down the highway sometimes and it like it tries to pull the vehicle down need help

If you need the wheel to not turn next time just stick a flat head into the side of the brake rotor and it’ll prevent it from turning

What were the bolts you were trying to get out with vice grips and what were the ones you said you couldn't get out
Dean Carver those were the same ones, the bolts for the flange. Those get removed as the lockers come with new ones that take a 6mm hex head.

did you have trouble with the 4wd light flashing after putting the hubs on?

What size spline did you use 27 or 28
