- Why you should visit Hornbill festival, tourist from different countries gives you the opinion. The Hornbill festival is held from Dec. 1 to the 10th every year in Nagaland. if you think you enjoy this video, come and be part of the festival.

Most of the Traveller who comes from the far-flung corner of the world are not wealthy and crazy rich people.
They are middle class like us who save their hard earned money just to visit our place to explore and experience our rich cultures and traditions.
We should not make their time in our land and their memories filled with hardship by charging them way too much for every thing.
We should keep in mind that they have to go back and in case if they want to bring their families any souvenir from our land they won't be able to do so due to the high prices.
The prices of local products, lodges and homestays should be made affordable for people who come from different part of the world.
We should not let our greed for earning a quick money lead to our downfall in tourism.

The hospitality was undoubtedly the best. But had trouble with transportation facilities to get to the venue #Kisama,The roads aren't that smooth ,fares seems exorbitant and the parking tax near the venue seems unnecessary.There is room for improvement regardless i enjoyed my 3 days stay. Love from Australia ..
you should have come to arunachal.. farm, mountains, hunting, fishing, fresh vegetables.. lost into the unknown.. those festivals are made to target tourists like you.. you dont need that if you waana experience a real natural festival ..next time do write to me..

It's so sad that everything sold here are extra expensive, this is one of the only festivals in Nagaland which attracts a big number of tourist, and yet we sell everything at an extra cost. We are only showing the world how greedy we are.
All local products should be sold at a cheaper price so that everyone can have an experience on all the cultures of Nagaland, yet we take advantage of this event as an opportunity to make profits and rob the people who have little knowledge about us

As a traditional n cultural event Hornbill festival is an experience of a life time very distinctive n native n fun as well. But, when its projected as a commercial event by the tourism ministry business jumps in, thousands of people get together n if they can come so far they must having big money so naturally lodges raise room rent hotels raise the food price any transport system raises it's fare as you said it's act of greed n being selfish.
But, it's not going to change bro each year a person taking part in this festival might end up spending more money than the previous year.
All is well if the tourist leaves Nagaland happy n in peace 👍👍👍
This are not machine made but most of it are handmade. We should respect their hard work. Should not be a problem to pay more to support their craft.

Love that Italian guy trying to promote his ice creams in December😂😂. I wouldn't mind bringing my business to him. Apart from that, I think hornbill is an eyewash and a scam. All the stall keepers were just out to make a quick buck in the name of Naga culture. This 'get rich fast' attitude will eventually kill us and the festival too. Just my two paise.

Surprised that no one complained about the bad road, poor transportation and other infrastructural related issues. Anyway, if Nagaland could improve infrastructure, transportation, and facilities, I am sure tourist experience would be even more better.

Hi guys... Do you know?? Nagaland(Nagalim) is not a part of India. India forcefully occupied Naga Hills that is situated in the trijunction of China, Myanmar and India. This long stretch of rugged mountain ranges situated in this trijunction of the three countries, India occipied a portion of it and called it Nagaland, some portion distributed to indian state Assam, manipur and Aurnachal while the another larger portion of it is in Sigang area of Myanmar. The brutal fact is this, Nagas have declared Independent from British colonialism in 14 august 1947 and india got her independence a day after Nagas declared their independent i.e 15 August 1947. India is still occupying Nagaland saying that the Naga hills an integral part of India but Nagas do not accept this false claim because we Nagas are not indian by race or any other references. We are still fighting for our legitimate politica right to this day. And by the way its not "unity in diversity" but its "Diversity in tradition". The fact that Naga's struggle for independence from India and Myanmar is one of the longest and oldest struggle in south east asia.

So just be informed in case that there are people called NAGAS in northeast of India who doesn't look like Indian because these people are not indian so they doesnt look similar in anyway to the Indians, there is not a single reference in indian history too, nor any similarities in culture, religion, social life, foods, etc just nothing. The only similarities between Indians and Nagas would be "Being Humans with cells and genetic material". So technically it was "Forced occupation of Nagalim by India". We are fighting even today for our right.... and we will keep fighting India until the last man standing!
