    Looking good. For walls inside your tunnel, you don’t need a lot of 3D detail and ail, so I would print stone walls from the internet and then glue them to foam board cut to your tunnel dimensions.

    You have done the best job that I have seen with ballasting fast track! I do think you should have added sound deadening under the track though, because the plastic track is very noisy. Good job so far on the layout!

    • @triplertrains
      @triplertrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That means a lot! I also feel I should have added deadening

    Please leave the tunnel at that height because of container cars. By the way the lay-out is on point.

    I like close clearances too. Iam pigeon hole myself, I like O27 and traditional O.

    If you not going to run any of the taller rolling stock lower it down decently. It coming along well. I started out this was as well then wanted to run the larger engines and had to start all over

    If you run an actual transformer you can hide the wires easier, still power lionchief, run traditional lionel and have the fun of owning a ZW.

    I have seen a video where they used aluminum foil. It was fairly fast to do and looked great after it had wrinkles put in it and painted the inside. When done it looked like it had been blasted out of the rock when the train head light hit the surface of the tunnel.

      I used aluminum foil as well:
      Crumple to desired look.
      On the flat side: paint flat black, gray, or not at all.
      Glue, tape or staple to convenient surface.
      Cheap, easy and looks great.

    trucking companies: this truck can haul more than 50,000 pounds!
    railroading companies: what the fuck is a pound? i only work in tons.

    Maybe look at getting a gimbal instead of a whole new camera. I use an iPhone and DJI OM5 and it really gives nice results. Can’t beat 3-axis gimbals

      Going to look that up now! I definitely need a camera for those down low shots. iPhones have such a harsh focus when it comes to those close rolling shots.

    Excellent work . . . it's coming along. A recommendation for a Legacy steamer: Lionel's USRA 0-6-0 shipping the end of this year. AND it's got a Swinging Bell ! ! ! according to Dave: th-cam.com/video/1uyg4jfyECc/w-d-xo.html. And the programmable speed switch from slow switcher to road speed is too cool! Jus' sayin' 🙃 Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing your layout.

    Your two Christmas themed box cars, where did you pick them up?

    • @triplertrains
      @triplertrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I found them at a flea market. Almost all the cars I have were from a single trip

    That's what you say right now but I guarantee you going to be buying Auto wrecked cars in the future and you going to regret you didn't build it the right way but it's your first layoff so hey have fun good luck that's how we all started out we just going to do one thing and then we end up doing something else

    Upper deck is way to high. The gradient required to get your trains up there will be too steep, even by modeling standards.

    • @triplertrains
      @triplertrains  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This will be its own loop.

      Get one of the tallest cars Lionel makes. Plan ahead for that. A year later you’re interested can and probably will change. It’s easier to make it fit now than later after everything has been finished. I would also do like you suggested and lower the risers by about an inch and a half or two. Other than that, the layout is looking pretty good! Thanks for sharing! Chris from Cbtrainnut on TH-cam!

    you have too much track - no houses - no cars - no trees - no scenery
