    Anybody watched Lilo and Stich the series? I thought it was decent and probably the best Disney tv show based on a movie.

      I heard reruns are on Disney jr. now. But why they would have an action oriented and cartoonishly violent show on a network were toddlers are learning to count is anyone's guess.

      roboguy75 It was set many years after the Lilo and Stitch movies, and all I remember was that Stitch Crashlanded on an island somewhere and met a Japanese (I think) girl. Jumba and Pliekly are in it, so is Angel, Gantu was there I think and Lilo even made a cameo. If I recall correctly, it was just called Stitch! The exclamation mark is part of the title though

    Ah man when I found out you were doing Disney direct to DVD sequels I never expected this to be among them, this is among my favorite things Disney ever created. I absolutely adore Sparky, he's adorable in all the right ways and the scenes between him and Stitch are so cute!! As for the TV series, its also good, though sadly never featured all of the experiments, even though that would have forced them to make 623 episodes, I wish it could have happened. So glad to see you enjoyed this one.

    • @micahhirsh8458
      @micahhirsh8458 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      623 episodes? It could have happened if it wasn't Disney. (they only do 60 or so max.)... and you know was on par with or bigger than The Simpsons in terms of success and would still be going now.

    • @micahhirsh8458

      The universe shared by Sofia The First and its spinoff Elena Of Avalor is really good too. Various episodes have revealed tons of lore about that world that you'd want to know more about and I'm hoping that Disney will use that to do more spinoffs. A show about the Junior Knights Academy or Hexley Hall would be great.

      +Trophies Actually, have you seen his Real Thoughts on Pokemon the First Movie? That's probably what the guy was referring to. His real thoughts are actually not that different from the Critic's. True, he would never actively insult fans for liking the franchise, but as for the franchise itself, it's not exactly kind. But I will say in his defense, he was too "old" when it became popular to get into it, but it's only a small defense.

    It's also possible that it wasn't just made for the kids, but the Japanese as well. I heard Lilo and Stitch was a huge hit over there, even going so far as to make Disney's icon over there, to this day, Stitch. It's possible that they were listening to their international sales and what the fans over there liked, so that's why it was so heavily focused on Stitch and the aliens.

    Ah, I used to love this movie and TV show being a huge fan of the first movie. The 2nd Lilo and Stitch was surprisingly really good also and even more edgy and darker than the first one in SOME parts not to mention it was animated in the same respect as the first film, another nice touch. Kudos to Disney for giving Lilo and Stitch the proper respect it deserved with these good sequels and the show that I always had a blast binge watching as a kid. Now, as for Stitch the anime.. That to me was sort of a stretch, but from the little I've seen it's not god awful. It's just okay. But I will forever be a big Lilo and Stitch fan, and grateful that Disney gave the movies the respect they deserve I even got an Angel Plush toy at Disney world and a pin of her and Stitch. :3 To me Lilo and Stitch is underrated as a franchise.This may sound silly, but Disney should make a "Pokemon Go" adaptation of the experiments in Lilo and Stitch would be interesting.

      Stitch has a glitch I see kind of...well not bad, not good. I mean as far as sequels go it had the best animation, but story wise seemed to make no sense to me. Like why would Stitch revert to being evil/find out he is gonna die because he never was fully completed? It doesn't make a lot of sense to be. Though the emotion and impact is perfect, specially when Lilo is about to lose Stitch. :_:

      +Luckygirl The premise is that he literally is glitching out. When Jumba says "He was never fully charged" I took it to mean that, being a genetic experiment, Stich's DNA wasn't stabilized due to the interruption. As a result, his is literally breaking down on a genetic level, resulting in him basically having seizures, which for him can be extremely destructive due to his power.

    Though, honestly, that's a common theme with me. Aladdin is better in the show. Hercules is better, and the characters are better in the show. Ariel is better in the show. Max and Goofy are better in the show.

  • @whatdoyousuppose

    The tv series was one of my favorites growing up. Those funny alien villain characters really get fleshed out there, and I do like the Pokémon formula it's got going for it, albeit it's not the exact same thing but really similar. My favorite thing was at the end of each episode, the captured alien of the day's powers are figured out by Lilo and she gives the alien an environment or job that perfectly matches its powers and abilities. I always thought that was a nice part of their formula, the message that you can use your uniqueness to your advantage is a really nice thing. Pleakley gets even more into women's fashion in the series, I think there was an episode where his alien family came to earth and he had to stop dressing the way he does or something, there was like a big misunderstanding or disapproval, but all is well in the end. Lilo did a lot more in the show, unfortunately Nani didn't get a lot of spotlight but I do remember there were at least a few episodes focused on her which were nice. It had a lot of heart but it was action packed and exciting, I highly recommend it!
