"To be perfectly clear, bees absolutely live in swamps " *All hell breaks loose* I have a headache from laughing too much, I fucking love this campaign.
The wasps of quagmire are actually an invasive species from the oasises of the desert that the tower teleported around. A single wasp nest was laid on a box top that was taken to this island and they quickly drove the local bee population out of the swamp. Due to the wasp's preference for the wet and lightly tree'd coastal and oasis regions the sudden increase in both possible prey and overall water levels the conserving wasps multiplied exponentially
Welcome to this weeks Perilous Storytelling. In this episode marbles are vomited. The gang tries to kill another child. And GOD argues for the values of Roleplaying Retail.
Brendan drawing the line at those things makes sense when you remember the tabletop horror stories episode, and the TERRIBLE players he used to play with.
It’s incredible how consistently each episode nails it. Jozu… Josu? Not really sure how to spell it, is an absolutely wonderful addition! I love how the dynamic seems to be going and am excited for where it will go, especially since Avery is doing such a phenomenal job of bringing the character to life. Just superb
Sad to hear it seems like this campaign is dead. Listening to this was so much fun and I found myself laughing at out loud repeatedly and it's really inspired me to step up my game as a dungeon master myself.
God it goes out on such a fucking hard RP episode too. Byrd has so much magnetism at the inn I'm like blushing. Dorks sitting at the table/computer shouldn't be having me as invested as 40+ hr audio books but here it is. And almost a year late. I'm excited to see what comes next for everyone regardless
and so the four weary adventurers lay their heads down to sleep, and were uncerimoniously erased from existence as the elder gods who dreamed their world publicly fell out on twitter
Man, I just got into this series and binged it all - only to come to this episode and realize it's been half a year since it came out. Looking forward to the next one. Hopefully it's not too far off.
Falcon dagger is on hiatus probably indefinitely until they figure something out but subliminal space will be their new space campaign that will run dark matter which is really cool they have a live stream about funding it that you can watch right now and it’s really good
I kind of wish this campaign didn't have to end here, but I hope everyone involved can look in pride at the work they did here. Falling-outs aside, I have a lot of fun re-listening to these now. Brendan's a phenomenal DM, Cameron and Mandy are probably my favorite characters comedy-wise, Joy's charisma was a really great support, and Billy's commitment to letting Sad Machine be obstinant (even when he himself understood what was going on) was the perfect bow to wrap everything together. I like Subliminal Space for sure, but this will always hold a special place with me.
Brendan being a dm who also has sex is a being only heard of in myth, and should be regarded with the same fear and respect that one would give to a lovecraftian monster.
Gosh, I missed you guys so much! You may banter about not fully roleplaying or not moving far, but damn you are a blast to listen. I don't want to grumble, but recently I started watching CriticalRole and couldn't even finish the first episode. I don't mind slow start, but it's two hours of just nothing! I can't even remember what was happening, it's a blur of words. Brendan did an awesome job by making the campaign engaging and funny. Non of their "jokes" made me laugh and they are constantly laughing for no reason. Meanwhile, David can unintentionally make me smile by his innocent charisma only. I couldn't understand what's all this fuss about CriticalRole. I get that they are "professional actors" or whatever, but man they are bunch of normies. Perhaps, their show is like One Piece, where it gets better after episode 100+?
I agree completely with this. Being a professional only means that you get paid for the service you provide, and oftentimes raw passion for something can outdo the kind of encouragement that only money brings
@@brachialtick6539 okay, perhaps I’m impatient and you’re right. Later I will give it a second try. However, would you agree that it’s at least strange, when one of the members just says “So I’m a warrior” and everyone laughs for no reason, like it’s an old sitcom? I’ve seen somewhere up to 1,5 hours of episode 1, season 2. Most of the “jokes” were just lame and cringe. If it’s not my cup of tea, so be it. I’ll return to my coffee. P. S. About One Pice it was simply a joke based on the meme “Bro Watch One Piece”
Thank God I wasn't doing much at work today because I was constantly having to stop to stifle a laugh. Plus jozu cursing bird with the marbles and then suffering from it himself was hilarious.
This campaign is over, some shit happened, shammy is no longer associated with PST and this campaign was canned due to that. A new campaign has been announced, but as far as I know there's been no word on when that's starting
@@plaguis1391 If you check the channel's community tab there have been a few posts about it, mostly character art and stuff like that. @isaiahlangfords5574 Its basically canceled unofficially since Shammy (Avery for a time) fell out completely w/ nearly everyone from the podcast. It'd be weird to try running a dnd session like nothings happened. Short of them making up its not gonna happen in all likelihood.
Shame Avery decided to be "that guy" and ruin everything. This campaign was an absolute blast until this point. Hope you're real proud of yourself, Shammy.

I love the running joke. That kennik never remembers he has remove curse
Brendan’s is a tragic mind, cursed by retail torture, and he will MAKE you understand.
Respect.
he's the one that work in many retail jobs right?

just like how retail consumes lives
Genuinely the retail roleplay is so fucking great. Brendan makes it so fun

Either Kennec forgot he had Remove Curse, or this is a very elaborate way for Bird to dip into Hexblade Warlock.

Each and every one of these is just an absolute delight, the beginning of this one was just utter chaos and I love it.
