Hello and Welcome to another video from Thomas at BOAB models. Today we'll be unboxing the world's first car - the Benz Patent Motorwagen from 1886 in 1/24 scale from ICM of Ukraine. The car was designed by German engineer Karl Benz and made famous when it was driven by his wife Bertha Benz and their two sons, Richard and Eugen on the world's first long distance drive
Additional footage filmed at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire, UK.

Thanks for watching! Build video will be up soon!
I'm very tempted by this kit, I particularly want the version with Mrs Benz and her two boys.
I've just finished it and I was very impressed by it.
It's a Great kit. Looking forward to your build. I'll be watching
Thanks very much, Mike. Video is up later today
Interesting subject. Looking forward to your build.
Thanks Spencer. The build is done now and I'm working on the video
Thomas that certainly is unlike anything you’ve built before! Those spokes look great without being photo-etched should be a quick fix on the broken one. Very interesting looking kit. Look forward to your video.
Thanks Richard! Fortunately the broken spoke went back together very easily although I will say they look a little out of scale compared to the real one. If anyone was really fussy about accuracy, I'd recommend the photo etch ones
Cool. I have built a 1886 Daimler-Benz by minicraft it has four wheels.
Nice! The additional wheel certainly was an improvement on this design.
Nice kit, not much car except wheels and a carriage.😊
You're right there! Pretty much all the parts of the real car are there though.
I’ve seen builds of those and looks fiddly, interesting to hear your thoughts on the kit as I’ve never built a kit from that manufacturer, model on
Thanks, Sarah Jane. It certainly is fiddly and quite fragile. I have the ICM Model T Ford kit as well as they seem to be keen on vintage and veteran cars.
