Nigerians should learn the definition of Duplex & Triplex. A duplex is a building housing 2 separate units not a 2-floor house and a triplex is a building housing 3 different units not a 3-floor house. I'm tired of seeing these realtors saying this!!!
Actually we use the metric system in Nigeria and adopted terms into our building code from the British system. To the British, a duplex is exactly what we refer to as a duplex in Nigeria. A 2 floor building connected by internal staircase. For Americans or people who use imperial system, a duplex is what you have defined it to be. Thanks for providing a new context
I’m actually talking textbook/dictionary definition of these terms. I as a kid lived in a duplex house in Nigeria and it was two houses with one common wall. British Dictionary definition: Duplex house is a house having separate apartments for two families, especially a two-story house having a complete apartment on each floor and two separate entrances. A triplex is identical to a duplex, except that it has three units (or three floors) in one building. The units do not have to be next to each other; the building can have three floors, each with one unit. Better to call the house a 3-floor or 2-floor house because they’re single family units
@@remibailey8340 I recently did a home design for a client who requested for a 3 car garage. However, on the other hand, things have gotten so expensive that every space is cherished.
